My cars door locks are failing prematurely. The front drivers door stopped work entirely even with a key and when I looked the issue up online I found that a number of other people are having the same issue with their 2020 Sentras as well. The door locks started failing within 2 years of owning the car. This car hasn't even hit 100,000 miles yet.

Started having problems within first two months of purchase, bought new in April 24. Charge ports stopped working. Also reported to dealer electric burn smell. Hesitate to start/stop with push button. Feels like loses power while driving. Rpms revs unexpectedly. Almost wrecked a few times due to this. Happens during continuous driving, not stop and go traffic. Sometimes when put in park, it will jerk hard. Sometimes when put in park and turn off, doors don’t unlock automatically. Car will jerk when starting at times. Forward collision light comes on often. Sounds like front rotors or something in the front rubs while driving. Auto engine off/on sometimes doesn’t work. The first time I took it to the dealer, they didn’t record their visual inspection. They blamed a lot of stuff on rodent nests. The second time I took it to the dealership, I made it a point to have the visual inspection recorded and sent to me. Surprise, no rodent nests found! Both inspections were completed in less than two hours even though I told them I could stay as long as needed. Since then, the burning smell has worsened.

I purchased the car as a graduation present for my son in 2018. He was using it to get back and forth to work and school. Currently the car has less than 60,000 miles on it. So, it was not being excessively driven. In Dec her of 2023, He began having issues with the vehicle stalling and overheating. It began to jerk and would randomly lose power. While driving to work the car over heated and we got it to a mechanic on 1/7/24. The independent service center stated the engine needed to be replaced and he would also inspect the transmission due to the loss of power and slipping my son was describing. Once the engine was replaced the mechanic confirmed the transmission would also need to be replaced. My son spent all his savings on the engine so we took the car home to determine options. The quote for a new transmission is 3-4k plus labor. I am too scared to let my son drive the car so it has been parked in my drive way since we got the car back in February of 24. My son has been saving to try and get it fixed. His coworker told him about a class action that was filed against Nissan for the same issue for Sentras from 2013-2017. I was never contacted and never received any recall notice. There were no warning lamps or other symptoms when the issues began. I tried to add the receipt from the engine replacement but it will not upload

When I connect an OBD 2 meter. It cannot read the powertrain and it’s not the first time that I haven’t been able to diagnosed the car. I’ve taken it to a dealership. I’ve been used scan tools from a dealership and mechanics shop. The powertrain isn’t readable it spiders when I drive as in like it feels like the transmission is skipping or going out. It stopped while I was driving by itself like the car brake, and then kept going like it was skipping a gear or had a hard time going to the next gear as well as when we were pulling into a driveway, the wheel on the passenger side went underneath the car like it was only attached by the upper control arm because the lower arm came out of the joint. I’m a driver side a tire is at an angle. The tire is about to fall off or the lower control arm is about to come out of socket impacts the safety of my children and myself when driving down the road is not safe or structurally stable to go down a highway even.

I am having problems with my vent control valve. I recently took my car in to get an engine light looked at Rand they told me that the vehicle was have problems with the control valve assembly and they replaced the part and fixed the problem temporarily. That incident occurred on October the seventh of 2024 and now I’m facing another problem with the vent control valve again only 3 months later. I am unsure if the issue is a recall but I would definitely like it to be checked out.

When I go up hill my car doesn't Want to automatically shift, my rpms start revving, and the car won't go over 50 mph. It's been an on going issue since I purchased the vehicle in 2020. Ive taken it to nissan on more than a couple occasions and the assured me there was no issues. Now as of last week after I brake my car loses driving power but doesn't lose actual power. Now my check engine light is on.

As I was driving home on the highway, something happened with my car where I couldn't control the car. It swerved back and forth on it's own until it finally stopped and cut off on it's own. There were no messages or symptoms prior to the failure. My car has been with Nissan who said they were going to investigate it and I cannot get a call back from Nissan Consumer Affairs.

To the best of my knowledg The front LH drive shaft came off the transaxle case leaving me no power of steering or breaking forcing me into the center divider. if this happened on a freeway driving speed limit or a busy street the accident would be fatal. Problem has been confirmed by Nissan themselves the year and make of my car has been recalled for this issue. A few days prior I did smell oil burning and was going to the issue looked at at the dealership unfortunately this accident or malfunction happened. There was no police report but the police did show up to make sure I was okay and they called the tow company affiliated with the department so I believe there's some record of it but no actual police report was made because I didn't feel that it was needed because no one was involved other than myself.

CVT transmission. On my way to work at 7:40 am I was stopped at a light and when it turned green I pressed the gas, but instead of going I heard a bang noise and the car wouldn't go. I tried turning the car off and back on and it still wouldn't go in drive or low. However it will go in reverse. I called my Local dealer at Bayshore Nissan NY. The service writer told me the extended warranty expired Between June and July. My car is a 2017 Nissan Sentra with 54,474 miles. And I’m still making payments until September of this year.

On December 23rd, my 2014 Nissan Sentra lost all acceleration power while driving. The car was then towed to a nearby independent service center where they discovered a faulty transmission. I was made aware of the CVT Transmission recall by Nissan and I believe this is the issue with my car. I would like to have my car inspected by an authorized Nissan dealership so that the proper actions can be taken to repair all malfunctions.

incident I would like to report involves the crash of a 2018 Nissan Sentra (VIN: [XXX] ) that occurred on the morning of [XXX], coinciding with [XXX] on [XXX] at the [XXX] location. It is very concerning and puzzling how, in rainy conditions, after the vehicle collided with the highway barrier, the airbag of the Sentra failed to deploy, resulting in the driver’s head hitting the steering wheel and the driver’s neck colliding with the seat. Furthermore, the driver’s seat shifted from its normal position to a horizontal one, making it impossible for the driver to control the car. After two complete spins of the car, it crashed again into the highway barrier from the rear. The failure of the airbag to deploy resulted in severe bruising and pain in the driver’s head, neck, and back. Despite the driver being an athlete with a strong physique, this led to a minimum of one month of being bedridden and unable to work. Additionally, despite undergoing physiotherapy, pain remains in the head and neck area. The car was declared a total loss and could not be repaired after the crash. Do you not think that if the airbag, which is designed for the driver’s safety, does not deploy in such situations, then when will it deploy? If the driver’s seat, in such situations, bends and turns horizontal, depriving the driver of control over the car, how can one drive safely? Aren’t these instances indicative of a malfunction in the vehicle’s safety system? Does this not raise questions about the safety standards and build quality of a brand like Nissan, which is an international company? If the airbags or other safety systems fail to operate in emergency situations, this could jeopardize people’s lives. These safety features are designed to protect drivers and passengers, and it is expected that they function correctly in all circumstances. I brought my car in to the local dealer in Olympia WA for a routine oil change and inquired about a wobble when driving on the freeway. I was told that my 5 year tires (purchased less than 1 year ago$800 full set) needed replaced on the drivers side ($224) and that my car maybe out of alignment ($119). I inquired about the Sentra recalls and was told there aren’t any. This is concerning to me and I worry that it is a safety issue to be driving. My make model and year of car fall within this recall range and is displaying signs described in as consistent with the recall yet my local dealer dismissed the possibility. I am requesting assistance with this as this is my only vehicle and needed for my employment. Please call me. Thank you. [XXX] text & messages are ok. Thank [XXX] . The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that the transmission would slip or jerk intermittently while driving at various speeds. While depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle lunged before accelerating or occasionally failed to accelerate as intended, causing the contact to restart the vehicle to accelerate as desired. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed the vehicle with transmission failure. The dealer had not repaired the vehicle; but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to inquire about a possible recall. The contact spoke with a second dealer, Hudson Nissan of Charleston (1714 Savannah Hwy, Charleston, SC 29407) and it was confirmed that the VIN was not under recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic and was also diagnosed with transmission failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 168,860.
