Safety issue. I was on the highway when I has a flat. I opened the trunk to get the jack and spare , but to my surprise I found only styrofoam where the spare and jack should be. I called the dealer where I purchased the car and was told Nissan no longer provides those items. This was a real safety concern for me. Im a [XXX] female, often traveling out of town alone and I find Styrofoam! I was stuck on the side of the road...alone. More concerning to me was what if this had been my [XXX] granddaughter sitting there alone. Autos should always have basic safety equipment. Dealers should not be allowed to only provide a spray foam sealant. This flat was a tire replacemnet, a sealant will not suffice.. Todays incident was a safety violation..Spare tire and jacks must be standard equipment. A piece of styrofoam will not provide basic safety measures. While driving on the highway the hood released on its own while driving around 55 to 60 mph. No interior lever was pulled, and the hood still managed to flap open on its own damaging the windshield and denting the exterior of the hood. This is a safety issue please look into this as this could have put my life and others at risk.

The 2025 Nissan Sentra lost control in the steering wheel or driveshaft while driving down hill. The vehicle lost power lost steering and crashed. The vehicle stated "malfunction " when the crash occured. There was a leaking fluid coming from the front left underside of the vehicle after the crash when it became undrivable due to loss of power and loss of driveshaft control. I felt unsafe with the way the vehicle was shuddering and jerking every right turn I made in the vehicle days prior to it being in a crash.

Was going down some s curves when the car started trying to turn me to the left when I needed to go right. I started trying to correct it but I had no control of the steering wheel. The car then immediately accelerated which in turn made me flip end over end 3 times . My air bag didn't deploy and my seat belt let me fly out the seat and bounce around the car

Since I purchased the vehicle, I turn my steering wheel all the way to the left. It makes this clicking sound, and I can feel the clicking under me like it’s coming from the driver side and I have a maintenance notification on my dashboard fan. The clicking noise has gotten worse and made me do my own research on the problem. The tire needs maintenance, but there’s no flat so something told me to google exactly what was the problem was and I got a message on Google stating that there are many recalls on this particular car about a CV joint on the axle. I know that this is the problem because everything that was said online from people that had the car previously it’s the exact problem that I have. I need this inspected immediately.

The front left axle was replaced twice and the right axle replaced twice. Both have broken consistently. They were replaced by Nissan Dealer all times. My safety was put at risk by having to drive the vehicle with broken axles. There were no warning signs u til the axles started clicking and popping upon turning. The vehicle is available for inspection even though it is temporarily fixed.

The contact owns a 2025 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds on several occasions, the messages "Engine Stall - Stop Safely", "Service Due in 0 Miles", and "System Malfunction Not Available" were displayed. The contact stated that the vehicle lost power and stalled. The contact stated that the brake warning light, check engine light, oil warning light, and an unknown warning light were illuminated. After approximately 10 minutes, the vehicle was able to be restarted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on two separate occasions; however, the failure could not be duplicated. On the third visit to the dealer, the dealer diagnosed a burned fuse box and wiring harness. The fuse box and wiring harness were replaced. Approximately one month after the repair, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was returned to the same dealer, but the failure could not be duplicated. The dealer suggested that the issue might be associated with outside or thermal interference that affected the wiring harness. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 9,900.

Subject: Request for Assistance Regarding Safety Concern with 2026 Nissan Sentra , I am writing to respectfully request your assistance regarding a significant concern with my recently purchased 2026 Nissan Sentra. When I purchased this new vehicle, I did so with the expectation that its safety features and technology would meet the quality standards associated with the Nissan brand. Unfortunately, I have experienced an issue with the rear backup camera that has left me concerned and disappointed. Shortly after taking delivery of the vehicle, I noticed that the backup camera produces an image that appears blurry and lacks the clarity necessary to confidently identify objects, pedestrians, and other surroundings while reversing. Because the backup camera is an important driver-assistance and safety feature, its performance has raised concerns about its effectiveness in supporting safe vehicle operation. In an effort to resolve the matter, I brought the vehicle to Nissan for inspection. Following the evaluation, I was advised that the image quality was considered normal for the system and that no repair or corrective action was available. While I appreciate the assessment that was performed, I remain concerned that the camera's image quality falls below what a reasonable customer would expect from a brand-new vehicle. What makes this situation particularly frustrating is that I have owned and driven older Nissan vehicles whose backup camera systems provided noticeably clearer images. In comparison, the camera installed in my new Sentra appears to offer a lower level of visibility and confidence than systems found in some older vehicles and competing models. Had I known that the backup camera would perform at this level and that no repair or upgrade option would be available, I would have carefully reconsidered my purchase decision.

I am submitting this complaint regarding what I believe is a premature paint system failure on my 2024 Nissan Sentra (VIN: [XXX]). At approximately 30,000 miles, the paint on the rear bumper and the front hood has developed extensive chipping and peeling that appears excessive for a vehicle of this age and mileage. While some stone chips are expected during normal driving, the extent and severity of the paint failure suggest the factory paint system may not have been properly applied. The damaged areas appear to have little or no visible primer beneath the paint, indicating what I believe may be poor paint adhesion, inadequate primer application, or an insufficient clear coat. The paint chips away very easily, exposing the underlying surface. I initially brought the vehicle to Loyalty Nissan in Short Pump, Virginia. Because that dealership does not have a collision or paint repair facility, I was referred to Hyman Brothers Nissan in Midlothian, Virginia for evaluation. During my discussions at Hyman Brothers, I was verbally informed by the dealership's paint technician that the condition appeared consistent with either an insufficient amount of hardener in the paint, an excessively thin clear coat, or both. Based on my own observations, I also believe the primer may not have been properly applied because little or no primer is visible where the paint has chipped away. However, these observations were not included in the dealership's written documentation. I opened a case with Nissan Consumer Affairs requesting warranty coverage. My claim was denied based solely on photographs submitted for review. I do not believe the concerns raised by the dealership personnel regarding the apparent quality of the factory paint application were fully considered during Nissan's review. Subject: Complaint Regarding Greenacres Nissan – Sale of Vehicle With Immediate Safety Issue and Failure to Provide Resolution I am submitting this complaint regarding Greenacres Nissan and the handling of my vehicle purchase. I purchased a vehicle from Greenacres Nissan and took delivery on 7/3/26. Within five days of delivery, the vehicle developed a serious safety-related issue that made it unsafe to operate. I immediately contacted the dealership and returned the vehicle. The dealership currently has possession of the vehicle because it is unsafe to drive. I was informed that the repair requires a part that is on backorder, with no estimated arrival date. I was advised the repair could take months or longer. Despite the vehicle being unavailable and unsafe, I remain responsible for my loan payments. I requested that the dealership provide a reasonable resolution, including replacing the vehicle, assisting with a financing solution, or providing another option that would allow me to have safe transportation. The dealership has refused to provide a practical resolution and continues to tell me that I must wait indefinitely for the repair part. My complaint is not that a repair is needed. My concern is that a newly purchased vehicle became unsafe almost immediately after delivery and I have been left financially responsible for a vehicle I cannot use. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed and that Greenacres Nissan be encouraged to provide a fair resolution.

I purchased a brand new 2026 Nissan Sentra from McGavock Nissan Lubbock back in XXX. Not the base model but the fully loaded all bells and whistles model. At 9pm on Friday. XXX, after dark a truck carrying metal dropped some of his load. Although I tried to avoid it I did end up striking a piece of the metal while 2 hours from Lubbock. The metal sliced a tire open from the side. I went to the trunk to get the spare tire only to find the spare tire compartment was empty. I had to spend $300 to have the car towed. I had to spend $200 to rent a hotel room since it was late and all the tire places were closed. Not having a spare in the car had me stranded overnight in [XXX]. I had to purchase a tire, jack, and wheel wrench to change the tire. So I'm out roughly $500 and change because there was no spare to get me home. Both Texas DPS and Canyon Police Department showed up to check on me. Both Officers were flabbergasted that the car had no spare or emergency equipment. So it's not a common occurrence or a well-known one. On XXX I went to McGavock Nissan Lubbock and spoke to Sales Manager Willis Hockett. I explained the story to him and asked for the emergency tire accessories the car traditionally came with. What he told me was that spare tires and the emergency equipment to put them on are now upgrades that you have to pay for. That it was my fault for not asking about the spare and emergency equipment during the sale. That if it was not on the window invoice that the car did not come with it. I asked why this "upgrade" wasn't included in the Nissan commercials or the paperwork I reviewed before I purchased the vehicle. I also asked why I wasn't informed by the sales person that the car was being sold in pieces instead of as a whole unit. Nissan is selling Brand New fully loaded vehicles without the standard safety equipment. This led to my being stranded overnight in a town 2 hours away because tire places were closed. - #11751349July 19, 2026BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA
Rear view back up camera very blurry and distorted since I’ve bought the car. I’ve tried changing the camera settings to clear the image clarity. I’ve checked to see if a protective film was left on from the lot, which was not. Rearview camera is not the only means to check surroundings while in reverse but it poses a safety risk when I cannot make out people clearly while walking past and certain edges from the screen on how close I’m getting even when it’s beeping to let me know. I’ve had backup cameras in my vehicles prior, so I’ve come to use that very frequently. It resembles a distorted fish bowl look. Vehicle is now at 1,020 miles. When compared to a multiple other vehicles, 5 plus years older, having much better clarify, it’s a cause for concern if there is a defect or something that can be done to fix this widespread issue with the 2026 Nissan Sentra.

- #11751232July 18, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
My 2021 Nissan Sentra has experienced multiple false Automatic Emergency Braking (phantom braking) events where the vehicle suddenly applies the brakes despite there being no vehicle, pedestrian, or obstacle in its path. This issue occurred before and after my vehicle was serviced by AutoNation Nissan Chandler on June 12, 2026. Despite recent dealership service, the problem continues to occur. The unexpected braking creates a serious safety hazard because it can cause the vehicle to slow or stop unexpectedly in traffic, increasing the risk of a rear-end collision or other accident. I am also concerned that these repeated sudden braking events may be causing excessive stress or premature wear to vehicle components such as the engine mounts, suspension, and struts. Vehicle Information: Year: 2021 Make: Nissan Model: Sentra Mileage: Approximately 139,659 miles I am submitting this complaint because I believe this recurring phantom braking issue is a significant safety concern that should be investigated.

The scope of repair required fixing a recalled tie rod that suffered a catastrophic failure, which directly caused the vehicle’s ADAS, Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB), and collision detection systems to crash. Berman Nissan promised a legally compliant, safe repair but breached this agreement by returning an unsafe vehicle, failing to road-test the steering component (verified by identical check-in/out mileage), and intentionally scrubbing trouble codes to conceal active safety failures. Staff explicitly refused all safety assistance, failed to secure my signature on any authorization paperwork from tow to pick-up, and Nissan corporate stated they were 'not legally required' to resolve the hazards. Service personnel stonewalled the issue, and management only escalated the matter to Service Director Mark Yalda after I disclosed I possessed concrete video proof of the identical mileage and unsigned invoices.

Good morning. I wanted to make you aware of a potential safety concern with the 2024 Sentra. The ECO button is very close to the trunk open button, and on 2 separate occasions, I have accidentally opened my trunk instead of switching to eco mode while driving. Luckily, at the time of these incidents, I was traveling at a relatively low speed and able to quickly pull over. But this could be quite dangerous if it happened on the interstate or other major highway at higher speed and if there are items inside the trunk that could fall out. It seems like common sense that the trunk should remain locked and unable to open while the vehicle is in drive.

I purchased an Orange Nissan Sentra SR brand new on [XXX] with 27 miles on the odometer. The Nissan dealership was located in California. On [XXX] I saw a bubble, approximately 2" inches in diameter on the outside facing sidewall of the right front tire. At the time I saw the bubble, the car had approximately 8,775 miles on the odometer. The vehicle WAS NOT involved in any accident or DID NOT strike any large pot holes or other object that would cause the bubble on the tire. The tire is a manufactured by Hankook and it is part of the Kinergy GT series. Tire size is 215/45R18 89V. Bubble can be seen directly over the tire size on the sidewall (see pictures). This is an extremely serious condition. It can result in catastrophic tire failure causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and resulting in potential injury or death. I took the vehicle to the Nissan dealership where I bought it and they WOULD NOT cover it under my 36 month new car warranty. I had to pay $339.54 to replace the defective tire. This was one of two similar vehicles I bought on the same day. The other vehicle also had the same bubbling on the exact same spot on the tire (NHTSA complaint #[XXX]) INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

In May of 2026, I began experiencing vibration and steering wheel instability while going over bumps and while braking, as well as while changing lanes. This vibration and instability got progressively worse and concerning, therefore, I took the vehicle in to the dealer for diagnostic testing on 6/2/2026. The dealership diagnosed and informed me of the steering assembly failure. The rack and pinion assembly is the defective component. It is currently available for inspection as it has not been replaced yet. It may not be available by the time I receive a response, as the vehicle is deemed "unsafe to drive" by the service advisor, and I need the vehicle repaired. I imagine they will send the part back to the manufacturer to assess the premature failure of the steering assembly. It is a premature failure, as the vehicle's current mileage is 34,303, therefore it is not normal "wear and tear". The dealer service center technician has confirmed that there is "a lot of play" and the entire steering assembly needs to be replaced (see video and photo). To my knowledge, the component has also been inspected by Nissan Corporate Consumer Affairs as part of their Goodwill Assistance Program. However, they will not provide a report/documentation to confirm this, as it is an "internal review" and their policy does not allow them to provide this documentation to the consumer. Additionally, the inner tie rods were inspected due to NHTSA Recall: 23V-581; Nissan ID: R23B3, and replaced by the dealer service center on 1/14/25 as a result of the inspection. In my opinion, the defective inner tie rods contributed to (or were a direct cause of) the premature steering assembly failure, as they were on my vehicle for close to 3 years before being inspected and replaced as a result of the recall. I believe the bent tie rods put strain on the rack and pinion assembly, resulting in premature damage and steering assembly failure.
