While driving down the highway along with other traffic the car went into limp mode and lost power instantly almost causing an accident. Come to find out the engine bearings caused the engine to go on it without any warning signs. This car has been maintenanced and taken care of and had the same issue happen that the other nissans have had that they have the recall out for.

The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V135000 (Exterior Lighting), and the recall repair was performed. Approximately 4 years after having the recall repair completed, the traction control warning light was illuminated, and the brake lights failed to illuminate while the brake pedal was depressed. The dealer was contacted and informed of the failure. The dealer confirmed the recall repair was completed, and the VIN was no longer included. The dealer confirmed that the repair had exceeded the 12-month Extended Warranty coverage for additional repairs. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure, and the manufacturer confirmed that the warranty coverage had been exceeded. The manufacturer opened a case for the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.

Rear seatbelts trigger a no seatbelt alarm when somebody unbuckles and leaves the vehicle. As well as when somebody leaves and comes back and puts on the seatbelt, the alarm saying that the seatbelt is still not buckled up. It only does it after somebody does buckle in and buckle out and reset anytime the car is turned off and then turned back on. Found out that the rear seats do not have weight sensors, and this has to do with the actual seatbelts sensors. Noticed that buckling the center seatbelt sometimes, sometimes, will cancel out the alarm. In either case, the audible alarm within the vehicle, goes off within two minutes. At my first oil change, dealership said that to wait till the second oil change to see if it fixes itself. Went in for another visit at 7500 miles, and mentioned that it was not fixing itself and that tired of having to deal with it. That visit was for a That visit was for an ECM replacement, which is another case, they said it was a recall and found out that it’s some internal recall within the dealership, and I was hoping that maybe it was that which was causing the seatbelt system not to work properly. It did not fix it after they replaced the ECM. They finally tested the seatbelts, found that my car has no rear seat weight sensor, rather it has just a standard seatbelt sensor when it buckles in and buckles out. They have order the replacement seatbelts and will be installing them this weekend at the dealership.

Electric steering rack has play and causes violent shaking. Huge safety risk as this could have complete failure and cause accidents. Vehicle started showing symptoms at 68,000 miles and after reading separate forums, many others have experienced these same issues. No warning lights appear on the dash and no inspection by safety highway patrol. This is a serious issue especially given I do not appear to be the only person experiencing this. The steering and suspension seem to be a common issue on this call given the recall on the tie rods.

- #11698858November 11, 2025UNKNOWN OR OTHER, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
purchased my 2021 Nissan Sentra brand new with no prior owner. Around 2023, the air conditioning system stopped working. The AC will not turn on at all the switch or control that activates the system is completely unresponsive. I brought the vehicle to a Nissan dealership, where I was quoted $300 just for a diagnostic test, with no warranty coverage or acknowledgment of a known issue. This failure appears to be linked to a potential electrical fault or defective AC component. It compromises both comfort and safety, especially in extreme temperatures. Numerous complaints online suggest this is a recurring issue among Sentra owners, yet Nissan has not issued a recall for the AC system. I am submitting this report to request an investigation into a possible manufacturing defect and to advocate for a formal recall.

My car just started to have transmission problems. It started to forced especially on hills and the transmission started to force itself and the at 115000 miles the transmission stopped working since it gave us the P 2767. It is just absolutely ridiculous that a new car would not last more than 4 to 5 years without having to replace a vital part of the vehicle. It’s just a shame to find out that issues like this happen to a lot of people with the same type of car as mine and that this issue the manufacturers can’t take responsibility and do the right thing and address this issue . We made an effort to get a new car thinking that it would give us a pease of mind for at least 10 years since it was not a pocket change price tag. We believed it was an investment or reassurance of not having issues since it was a brand new car.

The front splash guard on my vehicle detached twice under normal driving conditions due to a design flaw in the fasteners. The splash guard is secured with plastic push pins and a single screw, which are not strong enough to withstand common road conditions such as standing water or wind pressure. The first incident occurred when my wife drove through an unseen puddle during heavy rain, which immediately tore the entire splash guard off. The vehicle had to be towed to Victory Nissan for repair. The dealership reattached the splash guard using plastic fasteners and one screw, but did not replace the damaged part. The same issue occurred again because once the splash guard is cracked or weakened, it catches wind and detaches easily. When this happens, the large 4x5 ft. piece of plastic can fly off on the freeway, creating a serious danger to both the vehicle occupants and other drivers. Victory Nissan has been unresponsive in resolving this safety issue. Despite being told the service manager would follow up, I received no calls back after multiple attempts and long hold times. When I finally retrieved my vehicle, the issue had not been properly repaired—only more plastic fasteners were used. This is a significant safety hazard that should be investigated. A splash guard of this size detaching at highway speeds poses a serious risk of property damage or injury.

The horn does not work when pressing the steering wheel, even though the horn itself and the fuse are functional. I got my car inspected yesterday, and the initial diagnosis points to a faulty clock spring.

I have a 2024 Nissan Sentra SV that I have leased brand new since January 2023. As of today, 10/28/2025 I have only 14,605 miles on this vehicle. I drive local only, no highways yet the tires are completely bald and needed to be replaced. The tire pressure would only hold 27. They were a road hazard. I could not drive to the dealership, Jenkins Nissan in Leesburg Florida due to the condition of the tires and it was raining. I had to replace all 4 tires at the expense of $890.00 not to mention the time I lost from work to have these replaced. These tires were under warranty. Boulevard Tire in Lady Lake, Florida has the tires. They will be submitting the information you need. I did call Hankook today, 10/28/2025 to start the claim. This vehicle has only 14k miles so how is it possible they were so dangerous and bad. I expect to get a full refund. Hankook is giving me a hard time about the warranty because I didn't replace with the same tires. I couldn't drive more than 2 miles and made it Boulevard Tire for help. They have the tires and it have photos. No tires should never wear like that with that kind of mileage and only local driving, no highway driving. I'll attach photos. The claim #[XXX] I supplied Hankook with the regular scheduled tire rotations reports and invoices to prove they were completed on the vehicle. The contact owns a 2004 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at an independent mechanic, the vehicle was diagnosed computer system failure, causing the vehicle to fail to start. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact of NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V287000 (Air Bags), which was associated with the VIN. The manufacturer had the vehicle towed to the dealer. The dealer informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The dealer notified the manufacturer that the contact had refused to pay for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not repaired and remained with the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

- #11695823October 27, 2025SERVICE BRAKES, SUSPENSION, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
I purchased a 2005 Nissan Sentra on [XXX] from TMZ Auto Sales. The front passenger and driver side calipers, rotors, brake pads, brake hoses, front driver side hub bearings and knuckle hook up, were replaced by me, and the left passenger side ball joint needs to be repaired. All repairs were done within 30-60 days of purchase. The dealer replaced the front driver side caliper and brake, but I had to replace them a second time, and the dealership also replaced the sensor that he thought needed to be replaced, but the check engine light is still on. I was driving to and from work with my grandchildren and the brakes, calipers, rotors would start to malfunction. My daughter and myself were driving when the front driver side and passenger brake hose malfunctioned. The dealership confirmed that both front calipers and brake pads needed to be replaced and he claimed to have fixed them both when he came to my house. The dealership also knew that both front brake hoses needed to be repaired and told me to have them replaced by the guy who was repairing the front passenger side caliper and brake that he allegedly fixed. The other problems were confirmed and resolved by my friends who work on cars. The front driver side brakes started to make a squeaking noise on September 2nd 2025 and I took the vehicle to my friend who works on cars. and he stated that the front passenger side brakes and caliper was not functioning properly. The car has not been inspected by anyone. The check engine light was on when I purchased the vehicle. The dealership worker, Wesley, stated that the check engine light might be related to the car needing a new gas cap. Wesley also stated prior to me purchasing the car that the car runs good, "I only need to change both brake pads and calipers". The contact owns a 2025 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, the contact's foot slid off onto the accelerator pedal. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who determined that the space between the pedals was too small. The contact stated that the pedals were too close together. The mechanic completed an unknown partial repair. The manufacturer was contacted, and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 8.

The front passenger headlight started to go in and out. After a while it started to burn the connector. Also the back passenger side taillight is out too. The plugs in the car also make the speakers turn scratchy and sometimes the shifter would have some trouble going into gear. I took it to a Nissan dealership and they said that the electrical recall is vin number specifically but it’s happening to my car.
