This is pertaining to my earlier complaint on August 2, 2023. My Tire rod and rack and pinion broke when I lost control of steering and bumbed a curb. The dealership refused to used manufacture warranty because they said I had an impact to something, I only hit a few potholes during the Winter months then they told me I had to go through my auto insurance company. Once I filed a claim with my insurance; the service manager insisted me letting them take the claim. While my car was waiting to be repaired ; the tire rod recall (Campaign Number: 23V581000) was announced on my car and the dealership told me that the recall was not the caused of me loosing control of steering. The dealership had my car for over 60 days repairing my car and Nissan N.A is refusing to reimburse me because they said I had an impact to something and it was not caused by the recall.

I am simply writing this complaint because the recall says I should if I feel the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy the recall in a timely manner. This recall is over 6 months old with no current remedy available. After 6 months, I would expect a recall that cites a potential increase of a crash to be addressed in a much quicker manner.

All power windows stop working except drivers window. None of the window buttons on any of the doors will work when it's cold outside. They start working again in warm weather. Seems like window lock is getting stuck. Sometimes pressing it repeatedly will cause the windows to start working but will stop working again.

I leased a 2022 Nissan Sentra in February 2022. About two months after leasing the vehicle, I started having problems with the car battery. The car battery would die for no reason at all. I didn't leave anything on the battery would just die. I could be driving and stop and the battery would go completely dead. I've had to get my car jump-started by strangers and through my insurance company roadside so much so that my insurance company cancelled my roadside assistance coverage. I took it to the Nissan dealership several times and each time they said the battery was perfectly fine and they didn't find any issues. However, my battery kept dying and I would be stranded for long periods of times. This continued for months. It got to the point where I had to purchase jumper cables and then a portable charger. I finally contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs about the battery (Case# [XXX]) and they told me to take it to the dealership to be serviced. I made an appointment on 05/23/23 and this time the battery failed and they replaced the car battery. I wish I could say that this was the end of the problem but I was having the same issues with the new battery too. Same as before, several times. Once I stopped at gas station after getting gas the car wouldn't start the battery was dead and I had to get a jump. The car battery was still dying for no reason until another issue with the steering and tie rod occurred on [XXX]. Something in the vehicle is causing the battery to drain. This shouldn't be happening. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

On [XXX] my son [XXX] took the Nissan Sentra in for service at Coggin Nissan for a routine oil change. My son told me before I made the appointment for service that he thought that some of his fluids may be low because the steering felt weird. I requested that the steering and other fluids be checked as well as the tire pressure. After the service on the Sentra was completed service we were provided with their recommendation for additional services. They listed that the all four tires were worn and needed to be replaced which I thought was odd. They also recommended an alignment and replacing the brakes pads. There was no mention of any other services being required or any mention of a recall. Before leaving I asked the gentleman at the counter if the fluids and tire pressure had been checked and he said they were and that they do a multi point inspection on all vehicles being serviced. I also mentioned to the gentleman that my son was still having problems with his battery, and it was brand new. The gentleman stated that the batteries are not made the same as they used to be and don’t last us long. On Saturday [XXX], just a few days after having the car serviced my son [XXX] was taking his girlfriend home at around 10:30 pm and was driving on [XXX] before getting on [XXX]. He was having issues with his steering and was unable to steer, losing control but was somehow able to pull in to the parking lot of a bank. He hit a curb or something, the tire blew out and he doesn't think he hit anything else but the front bottom front piece on car was hanging and had to be removed. There was also some other damage near tire. I thank God that he hadn't gotten on the highway when this occurred otherwise this could’ve been a lot worse and lives could have been lost. - #11569879February 5, 2024FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, STEERING
I bought this 2023 Nissan Sentra S on March 3 2023 and it has approximately 23k miles now. During these 10 months, Nissan replaced the axis on the vehicle under their waranty and the clicking sounds still exists after it getting fixed twice. There is also an occassional malfunctioning of the Forward Emergency Brake (the off light blinks with a ! sign). Nissan was unable to replicate the Forward Emergency Brake issue. A new car made last year should not be having this many issues and we are requesting an investigation into Nissan and their practices. They covered the axis issue twice after us not knowing what was wrong but we keep hearing these clicking sounds and they go through a big diagonstic guide corporate tells them to. The car is still under the Nissan manufactuer waranty and we are tried of going to the dealership again and again to fix this. We ran into someone and spoke with a 2022 Nissan Sentra owner who told us she went through something similar with her axis but in an older model. The CarFaxes are attached for the dates of service.

When the sun is out and there is no clouds obscuring the sunlight my vehicle has night time lights running, dimming the interior of my car making it difficult to see the speed and other dashboard requirements while perfectly bright and sunny outside and 0800AM as well as 1500PM. This has been going on for two months and I took it in to two dealerships. One told me check your manual and the other went further and told me "by Nissan standards it is functioning normally." This doesn't make sense to me as the sun is out, it isn't dark or dim and yet when on automatic lighting my Night lights, not my normal running lights,,are on and causing me unable to see what's on my dash. Also whe. The sun is hitting the front of my car my Nissas blinks the collision indicator showing it won't do it as something is obstructing it but this happens when the sun is directly pointing in certain areas of the sky. More so early morning and late evening just as the sun is rising and falling.

Tire rod recall. My vehicle has been vibrating and there is a knocking sound coming from under the car for over 1 year. Vehicle was inspected by Nissan dealership who notified me there was no vibration during test drive. Dealership says that the tire rod was not bent, so they could not replace the tire rod. Nissan closed the recall on my vehicle however, vibration/knocking sound continue. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs and was notified that they could not replace the tire rod and that the case for my vehicle could not be reopened even if I get a second opinion.

The passenger window and back windows will not roll up or down. The only window that works is the drivers window. This car was bought 2 months ago and stopped working last week.
