FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Very strong fuel smell comes from the engine compartment after driving. When I am in stop start driving it enters through the vent and the smell is strong in the cabin. Had it to the dealer two times. They attempted a fix which did not work the first time. I brought it in again today and they stated this is a known problem and that it is under engineering review and there is no fix for it currently.

VISIBILITY/WIPER, STEERING, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
There was no incident, just routine occurrences of the following that could lead to one: 1) the wipers do not clear the upper right (passenger) side of the windshield, creating a blind spot, which is especially dangerous when turning. Photo attached, though note this is a mild instance and visibility can be much worse. 2) the rearview camera has been blacking out while the car is in reverse. The black screen lasts about a second and is becoming more common, maybe once a day. 3) the power steering goes out occasionally, which I am strong enough to deal with, but would be difficult for my children (who also drive the car) to deal with.

AIR BAGS
Took car to local mechanic for airbag light. The passenger seat sensors register that someone is not sitting in the seat when someone is. The passenger seat OFF light is constantly on regardless of someone in the seat. Mechanic tried to reprogram and fix the car computer. That did not work so mechanic took the rogue to the local Nissan to have them reprogram the computer. The dealer could not reprogram it. The next solution was to replace the passenger seat sensors or the entire passenger seat and then reprogram the computer. Elected to not fix this as this was a similar from a recall of 2016 and earlier Nissan rogues.

Smell of gas in the cabin area of SUV. Also, my garage is attached to the house & I can smell this in my house. Other people have smelled this, so I am not the only one. I brought my SUV to dealership, but they could not find anything going on. Are aware of these problems, but no fix. My vehicle is 7 months old & I am very disappointed in Nissan. I had a 14 year old Nissan Rogue before this & no problems with a gas smell. Nissan… you have to do better. This will be my last Nissan purchase if this isn’t resolved. And will voice my opinion to others. Thank you!

I’ve taken my car for inspection and was told to NOT drive my car. The “trailing/trilling Arms” have failed and my rear end is about to fall off. I just replaced the transmission last year and this. I’m [XXX] and can not afford these charges ($1300)for a 10 year old car, that’s garage kept. What is going on with this year/model? I will never trust a Nissan again. FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
The Nissan rogue when warm weather hits the CVT transmission seems to get hot and then you lose propulsion. You can’t even put it in reverse and you cannot accelerate at all. You have to get out. Push the car wait 10 minutes and then hope to try it again. What works as we have to do a reset on a CVT system? Turn the ignition on by not turning the car on step on the break put it in reverse. Hit the accelerator three times slowly then wait five seconds put it in park. Turn it off to accept the changes and then two more times. Follow the same process for your car to turn on so you can drive off They are recommending that we should purchase a cooling system for a transmission fluid. This doesn’t make sense. Everybody’s complaining about this.

Engine: Ever since purchasing my rogue i had to take it to the dealership 3 separate times for engine mounts to be replaced due to shaking when car is idle. Electrical: Camera system stops working all of a sudden at 50k miles and unable to use reverse camera and will not work when clicking on camera button. This has been a known issue affecting personal vehicles and being discussed all online.

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35-40 MPH, the vehicle started lagging and lost motive power as if the vehicle would shut off. The continuously variable transmission (CVT) code was displayed on the instrument panel with an engine malfunction. The failure occurred the following morning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer however, the dealer could not retrieve the CVT code to determine the cause of the failure. The dealer stated that the transmission fluid would be flushed and refilled as a temporary repair until the vehicle could be diagnosed and CVT code had been retrieved. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 58,000.

STEERING
After noticing my front tires are wearing on the outside much quicker thank n the rear tires, and I rotate them with every oil change, I noticed a clicking in the steering when making a hard left turn. My mechanic told me it's an issue with the steering rack and I saw that Nissan is looking into this and may issue a recall. So I wanted to add my name to the list of effected cars.

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at approximately 5 MPH, the vehicle stalled in the middle of an intersection. The contact stated that the message "Fatal Error - Service Vehicle Immediately" was displayed on the instrument cluster. The contact stated that several attempts were needed to restart the vehicle. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was determined that the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure became a recurring failure, and the vehicle had been taken back to the same dealer several times who could not determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.

The drivers seat failed (Mechanic's words) From the report, "Seat rivets loose can not tighten. will need to replace seat frame." This puts my safety at risk because in an accident, the seat could come off, causing me to go through the windshield, crush injuries, the seat collapsing and being thrown backwards into back seat passengers in the event of getting rear ended. If the seat that I am seat belted in to detaches from the frame, none of the other safety features will matter. Airbags will be useless as will the seatbelt. When I had my oil changed on January 25, 2025, I asked them to check the drivers seat because it was moving slightly. I noticed the movement the week before. I assumed a bolt may be loose for some reason and needed to be tightened. I was shocked when they told me the seat frame failed and could not be fixed. I needed a new seat frame. I had another mechanic tell me to call Nissan because it had to be a manufacturer defect. It was not caused by wear and tear and is not normal. In researching this online, I found other people that have Nissan Rogues that have also had a problem with the driver's seat being loose and/or moving a bit. I did not report this to my insurance because I don't think I should have to pay for it. My car is less than 5 years old and only has around 42,000 miles on it. I contacted Nissan. After they investigated, they offered to pay 70% of the replacement cost. At first, I agreed but after rethinking it, I don't think I should have to pay over $400 to fix a problem that I didn't cause. There was no warning light. This is what I found online~No, a failing front seat frame in a newer Nissan Rogue is not considered normal and could indicate a serious safety issue, as Nissan has issued recalls for certain Rogue models due to potential problems with seat frame welding, which could affect occupant safety in a crash; if you suspect your Rogue's front seat frame is failing, you should immediately contact your Nissan dealer to chec

The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact became aware that the driver's side window was no longer functioning. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the dashboard wiring harness. The contact stated that there was excessive moisture within the driver's side footwell, resulting in electrical failures. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V024000 (Electrical System); the VIN was included, but the vehicle had previously been inspected and it was determined that the repair was not necessary, and the VIN was removed from the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 130,000.

FCW randomly turns off while driving in daylight under clear conditions. Each time I stop and check the sensor on the front to make sure I haven’t hit a bug or something that covered the sensor and each time the sensor is clear.
