Car was driving fine went into a store came out a couple hours later car wouldn’t start. After jump starting it check engine light is on and AWD system failure reads across the dashboard. The 2 back doors no longer lock/unlock unless you do it manually. Drove car home it is now shifting funny like a hesitation or slipping feeling while driving. There’s a little over 15k miles on it.

My car has been hacked electronically. I've reported this to Nissan, and to the NIssan dealership at the 60,000 mile check-up. My safety has been impacted through the brakes coming on automatically (I just had them serviced - hopefully this will help), but if there is an electrical component, it may be tied into the navigation system as well. I do Door Dash, and at certain times, I've had my phone navigation fail, and then my car navigation fails for no reason. If one system fails, okay, because I have Google Maps on my phone and also car navigation. When all three aren't working at the same time - it is a targeted effort. There are also loud noises coming from the car speakers, I'm unsure if there is an issue with Nissan Connect? I'll give an approximate date, but these are happening multiple dates.

Burger King doesn't always kick on and I have to turn the car off and turn it on before it'll kick on even when it's in the on position. Don't feel any air coming out until I turn the car off. Turn it back on then it starts working again. Also the radio doesn't want to turn off or turn on at times and so again I will turn the car off and on and it seems to reset and then I can work the radio. But I've done this on a few occasions where when I turn the car back on it still didn't work the radio.

2019 Nissan Rogue, this is the first (09/21/21) of 2 (03/16/22) electrical issues with my car which I bought new from a Nissan Dealer. The mileage on 9/21/21 was 9,868. There had been a squealing noise heard when turning off my car and opening the drivers door. Then while driving it 3/16/21 my vehicle doors began to unlock and lock which was confusing and annoying and then a yellow warning light lit on the dashboard when I went over bumps in the road then the cruise control shut off at the same time. Luckily there weren’t any cars around my car. My Cairn Terrier dog was riding in the backseat. His collar was attached via leash to the headrest for safety. I had no idea what was going on with my car. I drove to the Nissan Dealer they looked my car over. They claimed the hatch was not shut as the cause. It made no sense to me as the above happened as I was driving and no dash light went on until my car doors started locking and unlocking and the cruise control shut off when I went over bumps. Refer to my second complaint for the next electrical issue that happened 6 months after this one it relates again to the cruise control. I filed a separate complaint for the 2nd electrical issue (mileage 12,120) with NHTSA.

I own a 2016 Nissan Rouge and the AC/ Heat climate control part #275004BB0C has gone out and I have attempted to get it fixed and replaced twice. Climates are too cold or too hot to not have access to working AC/Heat in North Carolina. I have gone all winter with no heat and it has been frustrating to keep warm while operating my vehicle. I have gotten 2 different mechanics to look at the car and I have even gone as far as to change the Thermostate and check all fluids in the engine. Nothing has changed. I believe it is an electrical issue due to the the AC/ Heat climate control part #275004BB0C replaced and having the 2nd part work for only a week to fail again.

Passengers side inner tie rod end. With normal driving conditions and normal road conditions with bumps and holes bent. So much so the self driving system nor I could drive it without turning it hard left to try and keep it straight. I have pictures this tie rod end is much to small of a diameter to be in a position to Carry the load of front drive and steering wheels. Normal road conditions today are much to rough for this.

- #11644092February 21, 2025FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Good day! This is a report about a product/manufacturer safety issue! We recently purchased a 2024 Nissan Rogue AWD vehicle. Shortly after the purchase, we were driving here in Tennessee on a divided highway with left and right turn lanes. In this scenario, we were driving around a right hand curve in the road at 55 mph behind another vehicle in cruise control. The sensor was set at the lowest level of distance between the vehicle in front and our vehicle, which is still pretty far back. But as we were going into the right hand curve, there was also a left turn lane that another car was entering. This car in the turn lane was going significantly much slower as it was preparing to turn left, but the problem started at this point of the scenario. As the car in front of me cleared the sensor in the right hand curve curved away from the front of my vehicle, the sensor apparently picked up the car in the turn lane, which became the car directly in front of me, and an immediately sensed obstacle, going at a significantly slower rate speed and cause our car to automatically, rapidly, and startlingly apply the brakes to our vehicle, though we were still at a safe distance behind the car going around the curve in front of us. This not only caused a significant risk to us as we were trying figure out what was going on in a split second while trying to get to the side of the road thinking something was failing in our vehicle and was quickly becoming unsafe, but for the safety of the vehicle behind us who may have been surprised by the immediate and significant braking our vehicle was undertaking by the computer in the car, placing a higher risk for a rear ending when there was no risk in front of our vehicle. Add to that, if there were several vehicles behind us the potential for a domino effect crash.

I believe there is an issue with the transmission. While driving, the vehicle is unable to accelerate. The engine revs high and the RPMs go really high. I have to pull over and turn off the car. When I restart, I am able to proceed, and the car acts normal. This has happened several times and has occurred in heavy traffic. This issue has happened many times over the past few months.

The vehicle was experiencing judder on two recent occasions. The vehicle was just over 90K miles and due for a CVT fluid inspection. After experiencing brief but violent jerks/judders while operating between 1,500 and 2,000 rpms, I took the vehicle into the Nissan dealership for said fluid inspection/change. The dealership declined to perform the requested service that day and instead recommended I 'Replace transmission and install transmission cooler' due to a "P0744" code read from the vehicle's ODB. The vehicle's tachometer would bounce when the vehicle was experiencing the issue. What's particularly concerning is that the vehicle has received the regularly suggested maintenance and shows no warning lights on the dash. I researched the P0744 code for the 2014 Rogue and found the NHTSA published service bulletin related to this problem. I'm quite concerned that the dealership didn't offer this investigation as a primary option. The steps detailed in this bulletin: [XXX] are surely less expensive than the transmission replacement recommended. It concerns me that Nissan is skipping prudent and more cost-effective diagnostic steps seemingly due to their tacit acknowledgement that these CVTs were poorly built- hence the extended powertrain warranty that was offered to settle the class action lawsuit. It appears that poor/self-serving advice continues to be given to Nissan customers rather than acknowledge the design flaws of the 2014-18 Nissan Rogue CVTs. My vehicles tie rods broke on my way home from work while I pulled slowly onto a snowy road from my work driveway. I felt my car slide and tap the side of a curb, or so I thought. When I couldn't drive the vehicle I had to have it towed. The Nissan dealership I took it to said the damage, $9000, was caused by bumping into the curb. My insurance company did not agree with their repair amount and my vehicle was again towed to a nearby alternate dealership. After one month and half, my vehicle was repaired and I picked it up, only to find that the vehicle is intermittently vibrating and shaking. I believe this is the prelude for the same issue I had before. The break in the tie rods made me lose control of my vehicle. I have since seen tie rod recalls from Nissan and multiple complaints about the same issue. I am afraid for my safety while driving this vehicle. I contacted Nissan Consumers Complaints and they wanted me to wait for their 90 day investigation in order for them to take responsibility for anything, while I remained in a rental I had to pay for. This puts not only myself at a safety risk, but anyone who is driving with me or near me. I told that to Consumers Complaints. I don't want to see anyone else get hurt because of this issue. My vehicle is currently available for inspection. I am leasing it at $500 a month and am afraid to drive it.

Rear window shattered without previous damage or impact of any object. Vehicle was parked in the middle of a garage, temperature was 32F and driver was present during event. Heard loud noise followed by rear glass shattering and fragments flying all the way to back seat passengers. Nobody was hurt, but glass shards had to be removed from their hair/ clothing. Problem has not been reproduced in dealership, but multiple reports for same vehicle have been filed online. Vehicle has not been inspected by insurance, as they will not cover it. There were no warning signs, or evidence of malfunction. Glass was inspected that same day before driving, had no cracks or breaks. Rear wiper was off when this happened.

- #11642560February 13, 2025SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK:ABS WARNING LIGHT, STEERING
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 30 MPH just after a snowstorm, approaching an intersection, and attempting to slow the vehicle, the ABS failed to prevent the brakes from locking, causing the vehicle to skid. As a result, the driver briefly lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and only came to a complete stop after colliding with a snowbank approximately 200 yards from the roadway. The contact also stated that at that same moment, his wife became aware that the electronic power steering was not functioning properly, requiring increased effort in her attempt to regain control of the vehicle. The side curtain air bags were deployed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who had yet to provide a diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact stated that he and his wife both sustained various injuries as a result of the failure: scratches, bruises, and burns possibly caused by the curtain airbag deployment. However, they did not immediately seek medical treatment but planned to at a later date. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 109,000.

I was driving and began hearing knocking sounds from under the hood. The car began dragging, so I was afraid to go at any speed over 25 or 30. I was almost home and it was night, so I resolved to go to the mechanic by my house the next morning. When I set out to go to the repair shop, the car was knocking louder, and I did not go more than a mile before the car stalled at a stoplight. It shuddered and then cut off. I tried to restart it, but it kept coming on and going off right after. I was in the turning lane, and had on my hazard lights, but several motorists still came up close behind me and honked their horns for me to move. This happened about a dozen times before the tow truck arrived. One man came up beside me, yelling and making gestures (I kept my window up and ignored him). I called AAA and was towed about a mile to the shop. The shop owner checked the oil to see if I had run out of oil - I had not. He then said to have it towed to Nissan because it was under warranty and the “engine is done.” He said that due to the sounds he heard coming from the engine. Days later (it was Saturday, and Nissan was not open Saturday or Sunday) I had it towed to Nissan and they have yet to diagnose the problem, after several days.
