The rear windshield in the liftgate shattered while parked in front of my apartment without any possible object that might cause the breaking of the glass. Currently there are still some shattered glass inside the liftgate which the Nissan and AutoGlass company can't totally remove and sometimes causes me some headache because the liftgate won't open.

I have a check engine light that just appeared on. I'm receiving messages that my Nissan Rogue may have an emission control system malfunction. I am advised not to drive the car above 45MPH, avoid hard acceleration or deceleration, avoid steep hill grades, and reduce the amount of cargo being hauled if possible.

- #11722212March 5, 2026AIR BAGS
The contact owned a 2025 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving at 65 MPH on an interstate, the vehicle was struck by a drunk driver at a high rate of speed approximately 75-80 MPH, causing a secondary collision with a semi-trailer. The back bumper was damaged, the rear window was shattered, the passenger side was smashed in, driver's side door frame was separated from the body of the vehicle. The vehicle came to a complete stop in the middle of the interstate. Despite the catastrophic nature of the accident and the significant impact forces, none of the ten air bags deployed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard. A police report was filed. The vehicle was rendered inoperable and was subsequently declared a total loss. The driver sustained minor soreness injuries and received medical attention via ambulance. The dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 12,100.

- #11722096March 4, 2026ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed downhill, the vehicle lost motive power. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who informed the contact that oil had accumulated on the engine bearings; however, the failure was unrelated to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); which was associated with the VIN. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and the recall repair was denied due to the mileage. The failure mileage was approximately 144,000.

Vehicle was on a slight incline. Shifted into park. Vehicle was running and I went and got into the passenger side, waiting for my daughter to come out of work and drive home. Vehicle evidently came out of the park gear and rolled approximately 100' backwards into another vehicle parked behind me on the same incline.

On Friday my car wouldn’t start. I put in a request for AAA to come out and do a battery test. The technician comes out and hooks up my battery to the portable box and it still didn’t have the power to crank the car. The car turned on and was clicking it didn’t have enough power to actually start the car. My dad came and gave me a jump saturday morning, and said he thinks I needed a new battery. I drove to advanced auto by my house had them perform a battery test and the told me the battery was complete shot. I had to spend $300 on a new battery. After I left there and got onto rt 70, The thermostat in the corner of the dash, the needle started moving up more towards the hot once I accelerated to 50 mph. The way home was a night mare as the car started to lose power, check engine light came on then the check oil light. At this point my car is jerking across the intersection where I had to put on my hazards and barely made it home. It’s weird this all happened within a day and so sudden. I got notification about the recalls and was thinking this is all related. Monday morning 3/3 I get the car towed to Nissan on rt 37, where the told me I needed a engine but not due from the recall. the recall was for oil temp and the car has a coolant leak that leaked on the engine and I would have to pay out of pocket. I asked for the report they haven’t sent anything over yet. I bought that car from carvana last march on the 17th, so it hasn’t been a year and they told me i’m out of my warranty’s at 71 thousand miles. I feel so defeated as i’m paying 500 a month for this is car and haven’t had it for a year. I’m reaching out to file a complaint or to see if there’s anything I can do on my end. with the coolant leak, I’ve never had any issues with the car prior as it drove regularly and never saw any residue on the ground. Nissan representative said she’s working with her manager to see if they can do a good will.

- #11721819March 3, 2026SEAT BELTS
The driver seatbelt latchplate binds and continually cinches tighter during normal driving. The issue occurs where the seatbelt webbing passes through the latchplate slot where the shoulder belt transitions to the lap belt. There appears to be insufficient clearance in the latchplate slot, allowing the webbing to slide easily in the tightening direction but not easily in the loosening direction. As a result, the belt continually tightens and specifically pulls the lap portion tighter, while slack cannot be easily fed back through the latchplate without excessive force. This creates a driver distraction because the belt must be forcibly loosened while driving to relieve pressure on the lap. When slack is created to restore comfort, the slack must be maintained because the belt will not easily slide back through the latchplate. This creates a safety trade-off between driving distraction from repeatedly loosening the belt or maintaining excess slack in the restraint system. Two Nissan dealerships inspected the vehicle and declined repair, stating the system is operating within specification.

I was told at 58,000 miles that the front control arms where cracking and need to be replaced. I requested Goodwill assistance and was denied by NMAC. I searched this problem and found that Nissans have a history of recalls and complaints of control arms needing early replacement due to poor quality parts.

- #11721639March 3, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Vehicle will come up with a collision warning and tell you to refer to the owners manual. And then tells you to pull over and shuts off the vehicle. After 10 seconds vehicle starts up again and drives. My wife it have been seriously injured or worse had others in the road not been paying attention. No check engine light. Researched multiple people online with the same issue. Vehicle needs to be recalled. This is a dangerous safety issue.

While at work with my new car (I bought it the day before), I was sitting in my car and heard a pop. When I looked behind me, the whole windshield had shattered but not fallen out of the frame yet. Little by little pieces kept falling. I had it repaired that day in order to keep the vehicle functional. There were no warnings previously. I still have the receipt for the replacement window and I have pictures that show the window damage.

Back glass completely shattered while driving around 65 MPH down the road. Had been driving for around 1 hr prior and weather was a consistent 30 degrees. No objects hit the glass and then it sounded like a loud explosion. I had a service inspection on February 20, 2026 where no issues were stated. No warnings appeared prior to this incident.

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while unloading groceries with the liftgate open, there was an abnormal, gunshot sound coming from the vehicle. The contact looked up and saw a hole in the liftgate glass and a portion of the glass fell out of the vehicle after the initial failure, and most of the remaining glass fell out once the contact closed the rear driver’s side door. The dealer was notified of the failure, and the vehicle was driven to the dealer, where it remained unrepaired. The contact was provided a loaner vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 11,000.

I went to start the car. Got out and shut the drivers door and the rear windshield shattered and fell in. There were no cracks or chips in the window before. Broken glass shards got all in my 7 month olds extra car seat that we use for a stroller. The Nissan dealership we bought the car from said the glass is on back order with no idea when it will be in stock. They put plastic over it and sent us away until they find more information out.
