There was no reported fire or police report filed. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted by email but had not responded. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
While driving in traffic I proceeded to give the car gas to move 2 car lengths forward but the car jerked back and then accelerated on its own. I applied pressure to the brake and as the came up off it the car accelerated again. I swerved off the highway and once in park the car continued to have high rpm of 3.5 while in park. Keep in mind i had been driving the car for over an hour so it wasn’t cold. After the vehicle was towed to the dealer, the tow truck driver experienced the same thing with high RPM.

My daughter and I we leaving Walmart in Mulberry, FL. We has been there a few hours starting at 10:15 am. We got our nails done and then shopped for a little while. When I got in the car I let it run for about 10 minutes and then left. It was not too hot in the car when we left. We drove less than a mile and we stopped at the light in front of the 7-11 turning onto Shepherd Road. We just missed green light so sat for a couple of minutes. We were joking about spending almost 4 hours at the store. All the sudden it sounds like a bomb went off. We had no idea what happened and as I looked the back window blew out. We waited for light and pulled into Walgreens. The car behind me also followed me in. He asked if we were okay. He said all the sudden glass was hitting his hood. He said nothing hit the car and he had never seen anything like it! I called the dealership and they told me it was an emergency and to come straight over. We headed over and now they are saying they have to talk to corporate. I bought the car from my mom, at 30k miles they had to have a new transmission, on my way home to Wisconsin right in the middle of the interstate the transmission went out again thank god I'm alive, this is less than 20k miles after the dealership put the new one in, now it needs another transmission. I'm scared for my life to drive it again, please do something so no one gets hurt or killed

When the vehicle is turn off the radio is still on and playing when the car is off and had several diagnostic test nothing came back battery ran down 4 times in 1 week got new battery drained it in 2 days..pulled the fuse to audio battery hasn't drained since...something is not wired right...should not have to remove fuse of audio/radio on a 2018 vehicle...this needs to be recalled...please I spent $400 unnecessary dollars on this issue..please

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
While turning into a busy intersection the automatic emergency braking engaged even though I had manually disabled it causing my vehicle to be stopped in intersection and when I tried to accelerate the car would not move and the AEB light came on as well as a triangle with exclamation point symbol telling me to check owner’s manual due to malfunction. There were no cars, people, or other obstructions in front of vehicle but there were vehicles behind me and my children and I could have all been injured had they collided with my vehicle due to the sudden stop/loss of power in intersection. I have not yet taken it to dealership but plan to ASAP

My front airbag light was illuminated during normal every day usage of the vehicle. The vehicle was not involved in an incident, fire, or crash. The vehicle was inspected by the dealership and I was advised that one of the air bags is not operational anymore which in turn would affect the rest of the airbags. The vehicle is only 7 years old. My safety and the safety of my family and passengers is at great risk while operating the vehicle. The cost for this repair is 4K+. I could understand being responsible for this repair if something happened to the vehicle but nothing did. I feel this should be the responsibility of the manufacturer or dealership to repair.

I was driving on the expressway when my car started shaking and a malfunction message came on. My steering then started to steer only to the left and the car would not allow me to control the steering any longer. I hit the median wall, did a 360 and was facing the opposite direction of traffic. The door initially would not unlock to let me out. I kept trying in a panic and all of a sudden they unlocked for me to get out. My car was totaled out by my insurance company.

I have leased this vehicle since May 13, 2022. Soon after taking delivery, I started to notice a faint smell of gasoline every day when it is enclosed in my garage. The smell has been getting stronger and I am very concerned. There have been times when I can now smell the gasoline when I enter my car when it has been parked outside. I did take it back to my dealer and informed them of my concern. They told me there was no viable leaks and said Nissan is aware of the problem but there is no fix at this time. My dealership has tried to assure me that the vehicle is safe. I have gone on Nissan Rogue owner forums and many owners have the same complaint but no resolution. This morning the smell of gasoline in my garage was very strong. How can this be safe for my health and for the risk of fire?

POWER TRAIN, ENGINE
While attempting to accelerate up a hill the vehicle's engine rapidly increased RPM to 3500 and then down to 2000 and back up to 3500 repeatedly with no increase in speed or change of pressure on the gas pedal. Also, from a stopped position at a red light, the vehicle would shudder/shake when the tachometer reported between 1500 and 2000 RPM, while attempting to accelerate. Finally when shifting from reverse to drive, the vehicle would shake/shudder while the RPM would increase to 4000 all while the car did not accelerate at all, and with no increase in pressure on the gas pedal.

I was driving about 20mph or less on a street, there was no one in front or back of me luckily. But all of sudden my sensors started blinking my car started to break on its own like wheels starting to lock the sensors blinked so fast I couldn't see what it was as I was watching road to make sure no one is around. It did it a few seconds and I was able to press on gas pedal and keep driving. If someone was in back of me I would of got in a accident.

POWER TRAIN, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving 55 MPH, she heard an abnormal squealing sound coming from under the hood on the passenger's side. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to continue driving. The vehicle was taken to the used car dealer, where it was purchased from. The used car dealer diagnosed that the front brakes assemblies needed to be replaced. The dealer also informed the contact that the rear brakes were beginning to fail and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, while the dealer was test-driving the vehicle, the failure persisted, and there was an abnormal grinding sound coming from the transfer case. The dealer diagnosed that the transfer case metal shavings had contaminated the transmission fluid, which damaged the transmission. The dealer diagnosed that the transfer case and the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The Nissan dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.
