- #11724314March 14, 2026STEERING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The electronic steering quit working at 55 mph, I was very hard to steer afterwards, there wear other indicator lights besides the steering warning light, I will add a picture of them. I did already do a report but have pictures to show the problem. I kept the core to figure out what happened, there is water in the unit control area for the motor. The issue started at the same time the water pump was leaking, and I believe that caused the water and corrosion in the electronic area. I also have another invoice for the diagnosis from the hudson dealer for about 600 dollars but mislaid it, If I need it I can get a duplicate.

I am submitting a complaint regarding NHTSA Recall 25V-766 affecting my Jeep 4xe vehicle. This recall states that engines may have been contaminated with sand during manufacturing, which can lead to catastrophic engine failure, sudden loss of propulsion, or vehicle fire. My vehicle currently shows the recall as open with the status “remedy not yet available / parts unavailable.” This means there is no repair available to address a known safety defect involving potential loss of propulsion and fire risk. I am concerned that sudden engine failure or loss of propulsion at highway speeds could create a significant crash risk for my vehicle, my passengers, and other motorists. Operating a vehicle with a known defect that could cause sudden engine failure while driving presents a potential crash hazard to occupants and other motorists. Owners are being asked to continue driving these vehicles despite the manufacturer acknowledging the defect and not yet providing a remedy. I respectfully request that NHTSA review the handling and timing of this recall to ensure a timely repair solution is provided to affected

Vehicle head gasket blown. Stated by mechanic that this is a chronic problem with model due to cylinder head warming and gasket failure. Shortly after repaired the left rear Factory OEM rocker arm broke and damaged one of the overhead cams. Again stated by mechanic that this is a common problem due to known oiling problems with this model. Repaired once again. Vehicle drove less than 500 miles before complete engine failure. Also stated by mechanic as well as multiple online forums that Jeep stoped recalls for these problems because they had become to widespread. They were only willing to repair if the vehicle was still within factory warranty.

I am the owner of a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe which is currently subject to two urgent safety recalls: Recall 68C (NHTSA 25V-741) regarding a high-voltage battery fire risk, and Recall 95B (NHTSA 25V-766) regarding engine sand contamination. On March 13, 2026, I attempted to have these recalls addressed at an authorized dealership (Brooksville Jeep). I reported two specific safety symptoms: Abnormal loud engine noise during acceleration and shifting, which is a documented warning sign of catastrophic engine failure under Recall 95B. Significant electric range depletion (a 10% drop from 32 miles to 29 miles), indicating potential battery cell instability under Recall 68C. Despite these reported safety symptoms and the official "Park Outside / Do Not Charge" advisory, the dealership and the manufacturer's recall department refused to provide a loaner or rental vehicle. They instead placed me on a "waitlist" and instructed me to continue driving the vehicle. By refusing to provide a safe, non-defective loaner vehicle while remedies are "under development," the manufacturer is forcing me to operate a vehicle that is a documented fire and stalling hazard. This puts my safety, the safety of my passengers, and my property at risk of a thermal event or a sudden loss of propulsion on public roads

I own a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk which we purchased new. On Dec 30, 2025 we were driving home and received a service suspension message on the dash. We took it to our mechanic immediately and they diagnosed it and replaced the left front ride sensor. $380.88 In Jan 21,2026 the ride height message was back. They removed and replaced the air pump assembly with a new united. To remove & replace-suspension-rear suspension-ride control compressor, R&R $2,026.31. Feb 26, 2026 Took back to Lithia Dealership . Stability Control light was on and Traction control light are on check on advise. Changed out Module Transfer Case $1,013.33. Upon further research found out other Jeep owners had the same problem with the air suspension system. I feel this should be looked into.

I am reporting a suspected odometer fraud involving a vehicle I purchased from a licensed dealership approximately one year ago. At the time of purchase, the vehicle’s odometer displayed about 64,000 miles. The dealership paperwork and sales documents also listed the mileage as approximately 64,000 miles, and I relied on this information when purchasing the vehicle. After the purchase, the vehicle was financed through my bank and the title was processed by the lender. When the bank received the title documentation, the mileage listed on the title was 101,985 miles. This indicates a discrepancy of nearly 40,000 miles between the mileage represented at the time of sale and the mileage recorded on the title. Key details: * Odometer at purchase: approximately 64,000 miles * Mileage listed on dealership paperwork: approximately 64,000 miles * Mileage listed on title received by lender: 101,985 miles * Current odometer reading: approximately 73,000 miles This discrepancy suggests the possibility that the vehicle was sold with inaccurate mileage disclosure or that the odometer may have been rolled back before the sale. The inaccurate mileage may also create a safety risk because vehicle maintenance schedules rely on accurate mileage. If the vehicle had already exceeded 100,000 miles, important maintenance or inspections may have been delayed or missed, which could increase the risk of mechanical failure while driving. The issue has not been confirmed by a dealer or service center because it was discovered through documentation rather than mechanical inspection. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives regarding this issue. There were no warning lights or mechanical symptoms before the discrepancy was discovered. A copy of the paperwork from the dealer can be provided at a later date.

Battery failure upon diagnostic at dealer per recall 68c. I had no issues with the car prior to bringing it into the dealer for the recall. The car has now been at dealer for over 11weeks. Neither dealership nor Stellantis is providing update on ETA for when battery will be ready and recall addressed.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe that has been subject to multiple safety recalls involving the high-voltage battery system and a risk of fire or explosion. The manufacturer, Stellantis, issued safety instructions advising owners not to charge the vehicle and not to park the vehicle in garages or near structures or other vehicles due to the potential fire risk. It says "Sand from the casting process can contaminate internal engine components, leading to a catastrophic engine failure, which can result in a vehicle fire or an unexpected and unrecoverable loss of propulsion. These instructions significantly restricted the normal use of the vehicle and created serious safety concerns. I have young kids Additionally, the recall notice stated that a remedy for the defect was not available for an extended period of time. Despite the seriousness of the defect and the safety warnings issued, the vehicle remained without a repair solution for months.Jeep has now discontinued the vehicles altogether with no solution for the vehicle. Due to these conditions, the vehicle could not be safely operated or used for its intended purpose. The unresolved safety defect effectively rendered the vehicle unsafe and unusable. I am requesting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration review this matter and the impact that these unresolved safety defects have had on vehicle owners. I believe the situation raises significant safety concerns regarding vehicles that remain in use while a dangerous defect exists without an available remedy. Please let me know if additional documentation is required. I am willing to provide recall notices, written manufacturer communications, and other supporting documentation. The vehicle was in Hybrid mode. My wife was driving and had slowed to enter a roundabout to yield to another vehicle. When she accelerated and entered the roundabout, the vehicle stalled / shut itself off and flashed Service Hybrid System. She had to coast to a stop as it lost all propulsion. The vehicle started again after shutting it off and letting it go to sleep by opening the door. This same issue happened while slowing, then accelerating into a roundabout while I was driving a few weeks before in "Electric" mode. During this event, it stalled in the middle of the road and was blocking traffic. I had to shut the car off, open the door, wait, then restart it by going to "sport mode" to get the gas engine started.

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to report serious safety concerns regarding my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, VIN [XXX] , which still has 11 months remaining on the lease. During the two years of this lease, the vehicle has had several recalls and repeated mechanical problems every 2–3 months, including a recent transmission replacement. The vehicle is currently affected by Recall 68C. I have maintained the vehicle responsibly and completed oil changes on time. Recently, while driving on the freeway, the dashboard began flashing red warnings and the vehicle lost power, forcing me to slow down in traffic. With help from Highway Service Patrol, I managed to move the car off the freeway. The vehicle would not restart properly and required several attempts before it began working again. I scheduled an appointment with the dealership for the recall repair and oil change. However, after one of the case managers informed me that my vehicle appeared eligible for the Buy Back program, my recall repair appointment was canceled. Later, my case was reviewed by Mrs. Khushbu (Customer Retention Specialist), who informed me that the vehicle was not eligible for buyback and closed my case (#[XXX]) without clearly explaining the reason. As a single working mother, I depend on reliable transportation. I now experience anxiety every time I drive this vehicle due to safety concerns. Two days ago, the same issue occurred again on the freeway — the dashboard flashed red, the gas pedal became unresponsive, and the vehicle stopped, taking 20–30 minutes to restart. Because of these repeated failures and safety risks, I no longer feel safe driving this vehicle. I respectfully request that Stellantis/Jeep review this matter and provide a fair resolution. I am not interested in replacing this vehicle with another Jeep, as I have lost confidence in this model. Given the circumstances, this situation may fall Thank you for your attention. I look forward to your response. Sincerely INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT

While driving, engine immediately shuts off. Dash, radio, lights, etc. all function as normal. Dash cluster shows an error message, saying to shift into Park. After parking vehicle on shoulder, engine turns over but does not restart after several attempts. After awhile, engine finally restarts. No error codes or messages are displayed. Scanning with an OBD device shows no stored or pending error codes. Vehicle now operates normally. This has happened twice in the span of two weeks, and never previously.

The dashboard has warped and lifted significantly from the underlying structure, particularly near the defroster vents and windshield area. The deformation appears to be caused by failure of the internal adhesive or mounting system used to secure the dashboard. The vehicle has only approximately 55,000 miles, and the issue does not appear to be due to normal wear or misuse. The vehicle and dashboard are available for inspection upon request. The warped dashboard creates potential safety concerns related to the passenger-side airbag deployment area, as the deformation occurs near the airbag seam and mounting points. A compromised dashboard structure could potentially interfere with proper airbag deployment in the event of a crash. In addition, the raised and distorted panel can cause glare or visual distraction while driving, which could affect driver visibility and concentration.
