STEERING
I received this Recall Notice in November 2023. I called my local dealer & was told that I would be put on a list & they would call when the parts came in. I contacted them again today & was told it would be “months” as the parts were coming in slowly. I contacted the American Honda Customer Support. They contacted David McDavid Honda in Frisco, TX and I was told they had the repair kit and it was being held for me. They transferred me to David McDavid Honda and spoke to Marissa in their Service Dept. Marissa told me they did NOT have the part after all.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
On at leas 8 occasions in the past 3 years the Automatic Braking System (Forward Collision Avoidance System) engaged with audible warning while on the interstate driving at highway speeds unexpectedly with no vehicles or other obstructions in my lane in front of me. The majority of occurrences were as I was attempting to pass in the left lane, but on at least 2 occasions there were no cars to the left or right of me. The sudden braking could have caused a serious collision. I have not brought the problem to the attention of a dealer or independent service center as I doubt they would be able to reproduce or confirm the issue, as I have experienced before on intermittent issues before. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Driving downtown seattle going through an intersection - green light - no pedestrians in walks - no oncoming or opposing traffic at the time. Uphill orientation. Doing about 25 mph. The system did a sudden and hard brake! This is the second time this has happened. First time was in a parking lot at low speed going over a speed bump and the passenger hurt their knee on the dash. It is clearly a problem and a serious hazard to all.

VISIBILITY/WIPER
The driver's side mirror repeatedly shakes at speeds above 40 MPH and is very prolific at highway speeds (especially 70 MPH). It is extremely disorientating and makes it difficult when trying to get an accurate read of surroundings when changing lanes. I had the mirror glass replaced at a dealer, which only made the issue worse. Another dealer replaced the entire mirror assembly, which seemed to solve the problem temporarily. However, it resumed less than a month later and may even be getting worse.

was sent a recall from Honda on a fuel pump impeller module that was manufactured incorrectly. They claim they are having problems getting the part at this time but when they do they will contact me to bring in vehicle for repair. This notice was sent February 2024. Have heard nothing since. Claimed the part could arrive as late as the fall of 2024.

STRUCTURE:BODY
The harness inside the left hand side back door was crushed and shorted thereby autolock not functioning. After discussions with dealer and Honda US HQ they would not cover any portion of $530 bill to replaced crush harness cable that is inside the door, Even though nobody has access to this wire as it is inside the door. The only reason why it would be crushed is due to poor or incorrect assembly during manufacturing and over time it shorted out causing the autolock to stop. The only thing that is visible is the black tube that routes the wiring from door frame to inside the door. The problem is crushed wire inside door. On a door that is hardly used (left hand passenger side behind driver door). Due to safety issue, car was repaired at Madison Honda at Madison, NJ for $530+tax. This is an unreasonable repair expense to consumer.

The contact owns a 2012 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact noticed that the heating system and defroster were inoperable. The contact stated that both the heater and defroster would not function properly as no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the water pump may have failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The mechanic referred the contact to the dealer for further assistance. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 117,000.

SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
On 01/08/2025, Time: 8:10 PM EST – Automatic Emergency Breaks applied though there are no objects, people or vehicles in front of the vehicle. My wife, [XXX] kid and I were heading back to home from COSTCO, Mathews NC. Suddenly, the Automatic Emergency Break applied without any warnings on the dashboard. Because of the sudden break, my wife got injured, she hit her knee to the back air vent. I must take a long breath for a min and move the car to the parking lot and check back with my kid and wife. There was a little distance from my car to the other car behind me. So, luckily, we avoided the collision. Otherwise, there would be a major collision. This is the third time we were run to this issue at the same spot. I am keep observing the warning messages earlier while driving on the highway and but stopping all the sudden without any warnings make us very scary. I was still doubting the security measures and investigation process being held at the HONDA. Please consider the fact that, “Human Lives matter and security is a fundamental right.” and resolve the issue at the earliest. I experienced an incident related to the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) yesterday afternoon. I was driving on a highway at ~40mph and as I went through a (clear) intersection, my car suddenly decelerated, jerking me forward. Thankfully, I was wearing my seat belt and the car behind me left enough room between us, so there was no impact.

I drove to Pittsburgh on [XXX]. I got back in the car, pulled down the driveway and when I tried to enter traffic the car lost power, the dashboard went crazy with error messages and the car was useless. Had it towed to the nearest Honda dealer, they suspected fuel. The high pressure fuel pump was the part that fixed the problem. Fault code dtcp0087 was found in the ECU. I obtained a fuel sample and had it checked, the water content was a little out of spec but nothing really bad. I do have the fuel pump in case anyone wants to do a failure analysis. To add insult to injury, my extended "warranty" is refusing to cover the repair because they just want to say no. [XXX]... The bill was $1786.11, not including a rental car and my time. I have heard of quite a few recalls on these Hondas, you might want to add my model year to that list. Please advise if you have had other reports. Thanks! I received a safety recall notice for my vehicle in November and immediately called 3 different local Honda dealerships in the area to try to get it serviced. None were able to accommodate me or schedule me for service. I was put on a wait list at some, but still have not been called to schedule. Today I followed up again and still can not get an appointment as they say they don't have parts. Your letter says Honda is supposed to remedy this in 60 days, but it appears that will never happen. How do I get them to fix the car as they are required to do? I am filing this complaint per the letter. Thanks for your help.

ENGINE
As i was driving on the highway, and with no warning my engine just shut off. Without any warning ligts or anything. Car then started back up and was able to pull off the highway when again this time the engine light came on and then just seized. And would not turn back over. Luckily traffic was not moving very fast on the highway or a serious accident could have happened due to the engine shutting down. Vehicle has been in shop for 2 months and was just returned to me, with a lot of the engine having to be replaced.
