The steering feels off when driving on the highway. It feels stuck when I try to make minor adjustments on small curves. I have to force it to release.

When I am driving above 45 MPH in a straight line, it becomes hard to make small adjustments using the steering wheel. The best way to describe what it is like is that is becomes stuck in a position and once you apply enough turning force, it suddenly breaks free or becomes unstuck. This is a continuous issue and happens every time I drive above 45 MPH. It makes it hard to stay in the lane on the highway because making small adjustments is difficult.

The steering wheel 'sticks' at highway speeds and makes it difficult to make minor adjustments. Have to apply more than normal force to turn the wheel and causes the car to overcompensate and jolt. Could be quite dangerous.

Last week my body control module (bcm) malfunctioned in my car. I was first alerted to this from a car alarm going off. I tried my key fob and nothing happened. Despite nothing happening I walk outside to find it is actually coming from my car and none of the key fob buttons are working.(I have 2 I tried) I was completely locked out of my car and even the physical key was not opening the door. Yet for some reason the trunk was unlocked.(not able to enter car through here.) Looking inside the care to my amazement it was turned on in accessory mode despite me having absolutely no contact with the key except hours prior but the vehicle was properly shut off at that time. The safety concerns posed by this is that this could happen at any point potentially locking a pet, a child, or myself into my car with no means of escape. The car was only in accessory mode, but that means it’s fully capable of turning itself on by itself. Had I parked my car in the garage and it turned over, I’d probably be laying in my house dead from carbon monoxide poisoning. Upon looking online, there were countless occurrences of this happening in Honda’s newer vehicles 2016+. Even to the point where Honda recalled the same body control module issue in their accord and insight models. But why not the civic in their line which suffers from the same issue as their flagship vehicles? I am still unable to get into my car at the moment so I have the part but I’m looking to get it fixed asap as it’s my only vehicle.

The car has a problem where the clutch prematurely wears out and the cars acceleration cuts out. this happens at different RPM ranges and in all gears. it is very unpredictable. Several others have had to repair their drivetrains and honda claims its due to a production issue with the clutch. they have a dealer service bulletin for this issue however Honda needs to recall the part since this problem doesn't come on gradually. it is a sudden loss of a connection in the drivetrain which has caused several issues merging on the highway.

Wiper blade broke in an explosive fashion upon activating throwing plastic and metal components onto the drive way. Since this was in the drive way the components did not cause any harm to any other property but if this was the high way it is likely the components may have caused damage to other vehicles or motorcyclists. Wiper blade was purchased new 3 weeks prior to incident on 10-03-2023 and failed on 10-26-2023, in this time frame the vehicle had not been used frequently as it was having multiple parts repaired so the part should not have much wear and tear. The wiper blade is saved and available to test, it broke into 7 separate pieces in an explosive fashion including 2 metal wires, blade backing broke into 2 pieces, component that holds blade to mechanism broke to two pieces and a single rubber blade. Mechanism that holds blade in place was left in a jagged state. Concern was that if blade was allowed to continue operating it may have caused damage to glass. There are no warnings and component has not been notified to manufacturer yet but I will look into contacting manufacturer after completing this report during their next business hours.

Keep receiving LKAS, Adaptive Cruise Control and collision mitigation errors on my car. Started once every few months and would reset after the car would be turned off and on. Now, the warning stays on. Both sensor areas are clean and unobstructed.

I brought my 2022 Honda civic touring model to dealer for a defective steering wheel issue and they said everything was ok. There is a recall on car as well. I drive 100 miles a few times a week and I personally feel the sticky steering wheel which causes me to over steer, and I don’t feel safe driving vehicle.

The steering on my 2022 Honda Civic EX started to feel “sticky” while just off center at highway speeds starting at about 11.7k miles. I’ve noticed it starts around low 40s MPH and usually continues to mid 50s MPH. It makes a kind of clicking feeling when I first start to turn the steering wheel for minor steering adjustments.

The steering wheel feels like it’s sticks. It’s very hard to drive on the road jerk from side to side because of how hard it is to manage the wheel while driving because of how stuck it feels.

Cracked engine block to the front, lower passenger sideof the engine block behind of the catalytic converter. Issue unknowingly began when commuting on the freeway until car was left parked for an hour. Coolant had puddled under the car in that time and upon inspection noted dried blue coolant sprayed all across the under side of the car originating from the cracked area indicating I was still driving when the leak started without any warnings. Given how much coolant leaked over that hour, this could cause rapid engine overheat while driving if the leak remains unknown. After some research, Honda knew about this manufacturing defect for a number of years and issued an extended warranty but those have all since expired, while engines are continuing to crack and fail.

There was a recall on the 2006 Honda Civic EX Sun Visors which Honda replaced only to have it break again. I think Honda should be responsible to replace and to ensure it stays intact. It is very dangerous and difficult to drive with the direct sun in your eyes. Please respond. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Have sticky issue . My vin was due for a recall took it in . Like always "couldn't replicate the issue" so no fix was provided . Vehicle was not fixed just cleared from recall. All dealers are going to say that just clear it and say there's no issue . Something else needs to be done . They said my tint was causing the issue but I had the issue was before tint was applied . Has completely nothing to do . No rental was given . Waste of my time and money . My steering has completely lost steering twice already intermediate then comes back .

After the vehicle has been been warmed up, the steering wheel seems to slip or stick when driving at speeds above 45 mph when driving in a straight path and after you try to make a small steering shift. The wheel feels like it sticks then gets loose for a split second. This started happening righ around 10K miles. When you are driving at slow speeds you don't notice it. Also, when you are making the actual turn, the steering wheel moves freely without skips or slips. It only happens when you driving in straight paths on a a highway when you are holding the wheel and you feel the wheel slipping or getting stuck. You have to over correct which could create a hazard when driving at high speeds. There are no warning lights on the dashboard. I feel that the problem has been getting worse and pronounced every week now. Secondly, the wheel also does not return to the center postion after turning the wheel to the right. Typically the steering wheel should return to center after turning the wheel on its own. I have to turn the wheel back to the center postion manually. I am taking the vehicle to the dealer for them to check it out.

The contact owned a 2020 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle was on cruise control, and the vehicle slowed down as if the contact had depressed the brake pedal. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated or warning chime sounded. The contact crashed into a truck and bounced off the side of the truck and the vehicle hit the highway divider at the front end of her vehicle and came to a stop. The contact stated that only one side air bag had been deployed. The contact stated that the police and emergency services arrived but she did not seek medical treatment. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot and later declared a total loss by the contact's insurance provider. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact had researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V458000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.

Steering wheel is sticky. It usually happens when I’m driving on the highway at high speeds. I have taken the car to the dealer ship and they concluded that there was nothing wrong with it.

when driving, especially 45+ mph, micro steering (0-> 1degree or 0 -> 359 degree) when straight (making micro adjustments) has too much resistance and requires more force -I feel like I’m fighting the steering wheel. I’ve brought it to a certified Honda dealer, and the technician told me he couldn’t duplicate the problem. No warning lamps either. I just have to hold the steering wheel tighter & put more force when making micro adjustments to keep car straight. This presents an issue, as I was on the highway going around a curb, and steering got so sticky I had to put more force than usual to take my car out of the turn. A collision could have happened.

Steering is sticky when driving above 40 mph. Mainly on the highway. The steering wheel sometimes becomes stuck when driving through a curve and doesn't go back to the same position. I think this can be very dangerous. Scheduled to take it to the dealership.
