SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The steering wheel locking up during driving randomly without warning this cause me to crash into the sidewalk during my right turn damaging my right side lower bumper and front wheel cracked so I already replaced the wheel with a new refinished one. This issue is a non stop problem I would really appreciate if HONDA reconsider all trim not just Sport and Touring as my car is an EX-L model which I paid for Touring price so I want to be help too. I already took it to the dealership and they didn't fix it and just joy ride my car caught it on dash cam even the sound of the wheel locking up too. GOUDY HONDA ALHAMBRA inspected my car. This was an on going issue since I test drove the car and I call it out and the salemen told me its normal which I knew it isn't, but I waited 3 month for this pre-order car so I'm not going to not take it. Please help me fix this issue as its should be under warranty, but dealership state they won't do anything unless the issue is serious which I don't feel safe driving my new honda.

My car has about 3k miles it started to make a Crack noise while backing up and pressing the brakes on the right front wheel took it to the dealer and they checked but didn't fix it it appears to be normal on this cars wich I don't believe it sound like if something is backing also now is doing it while I pull forward sometimes I hope there is more people experiencing this issue

Honda knew of an issue with their Electronic Parking Brake system which required a software update per service bulletin 17-007 since January 17, 2017. Honda claims that the issue was not associated with my 2016 Civic Coupe EXL VIN however on Oct 29, 2023 my Civic threw this error which then cost me $112 for the service center to diagnose and an additional $150 for the software update to be installed. Total cost of $262 for an item that Honda knew was an issue and never addressed on my vehicle. This issue creates a dangerous and possibly life threatening situation which Honda is fully aware and should be held liable. American Honda states that my vehicle was not effected however I disagree as the photos and failure occurred. I was expecting more fro Honda.

When steering the car the steering feels “stuck” when trying to make slight adjustments to maintain the car in its lane. Extra force is required to make minor steering adjustments causing over correction.

Frequently the EPS (electric power steering) feels “sticky” when making minor adjustments while steering at speed. Usually happens above 30 mph and sometimes can be scary as the stickiness nearly causes over correction in steering. After inspection Dealer stated my car needs new eps system. It seems like this is an issue with many vehicles like mine.

I have not had any issues related to the current recall of hearing a rubbing noise from the tires due to a steering rack issue. I am having a problem with the power steering. At speeds above 45 MPH, the steering is "STICKING or BINDING" and I am having to use excessive pressure to get the steering to return basically to the "CENTER" position. This is very noticeable at freeway speeds when trying to keep the vehicle centered in the lane. It is also noticeable on curves, like when merging on an on-ramp. At times, I don't notice this as much when it is colder outside, like in the mornings but DO notice it when it is warmer outside, like when I am headed home from work iin the late afternoon. I have an appt with my Honda Dealer on 11-4-2023 for the new open recall and plan on bringing this steering issue to their attention.

DCH Honda of nanuet 10 route 304, ny 10954 The dealership provided no photos of remedy to indicate any problems with car. They also drove 3 miles after I told them you have to drive it for a min of 25 mins at least. Also they fabricated what I said was my complaint which was steering wheel feels heavy. I said steering wheel feels sticky and I have to apply a little bit of pressure to make adjustments on road in which I end up over steering.

during highway driving steering wheel gets sticky when the highway veers to the left or right. there is a resistance,and then it jerks in the direction you are turning. also,there is a random static noise coming from the tweeter right front door are. have attached copies of my visits to my local dealership.

The contact owns a 2023 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel became difficult to operate. The contact stated that excessive force was needed to turn the steering wheel. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The contact stated that whenever the driver’s aid system was activated, the failure was more persistent. Additionally, the failure also occurred while exceeding 60 MPH. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer who was unable identify the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.

Honda Civic 2014 - The right CV axle (drive shaft) was corroded and detached causing the vehicle to become immovable while in traffic. Fortunately, we were near a stop light and traffic was going slow and able to go around the vehicle without causing a crash. The vehicle had to be towed. This same issue is already a recall for the Honda Accord 2013-2015. We had this same thing happen to our 2013 Honda Accord at a major traffic intersection. Again, the vehicle had to be towed and repaired. The remaining side was replaced via Honda recall. We are asking that there be a mandatory recall of this issue for the 2014 Honda Civic as it is a safety risk. We are just lucky that both of these incidents occurred while near stop lights and no one was injured. However, there is one side remaining on our Civic that needs replaced and hopefully the recall will be issued before the car breaks down and causes a crash and possible deathly injury. We contacted Honda and they said we can take the car in for a diagnostic inspection at a personal cost to us of $100-$500 depending on the dealer. This is unacceptable.

1) Steering. Malfunctioning. Yes it is available for inspection. 2) Had I not taken action my vehicle could have moved into oncoming traffic. 3)No. Only by myself driving it. 4)No. 5)No warning lights. I purchased the vehicle as a "Honda Certified Used Vehicle" in June 2023. The car steers fine to the right. When turning left its a similar sensation like when the vehicle shuts off while in automatic shut off mode. I have to physically pull the wheel back to the right. I believe I still have some warranty remaining but this seemed like something I should report.

After coming to a complete stop at a Stop Sign with the Honda Civil, my husband (he) started to accelerate, but he could only go up to about 20 mph in a 55-mile zone. Next, the car made a bump noise when his foot was on gas pedal. The car went about 100 feet before it started to slow down on a busy highway. The car was not going the speed limit because it couldn't pick up speed. Multiple cars and trucks had to go around. Next, he had to pull over to the shoulder of the road because the car wouldn't pull no matter what gear it was placed in. The car stopped completely, and it had to be tolled home due to inability to move. Langdale Honda was called and asked about a possible recall on the transmission. They said that I would have to pay about $140 for an inspection for the problem.

I was driving on the highway and all of a sudden all the warning lights came on on the dash and the car started decelerating when I went to press on the gas pedal the engine revved but the car would not pick up speed it was in limp mode. I took it to the dealership and they said it's the transmission that needs to be replaced. Apparently this is a common. problem and should be a recall.

The vehicle's steering wheel gets stuck in place when making turns or going straight. This makes it harder to adjust the wheel and leads to steering over-correction. This sticky steering issue is noticeable at high speeds(>= 45mph), however, when the issue starts it also occurs at low speeds.
