SummarySome 2020 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a TCU may exhibit incomplete user authorization, no authorization pop-up on the SYNC infotainment system, vehicle connectivity concerns, vehicle location disabled message and/or various FordPass/LincolnWay App command/control concerns. To correct these conditions, ensure that customer connectivity settings (CCS) are turned on in the SYNC system. If the concerns persist after CCS is turned on, turn CCS OFF, perform an ignition cycle, and turn CCS settings back on. After any CCS changes, force-close and relaunch the FordPass/ LincolnWay app on the customers phone. Once CCS is turned on, program the TCU to the latest IDS/FDRS version level. If the concern is still present, follow normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00. Refer to PTS OASIS home page for TCU version identification. For claiming, use causal part 14G229.

SummarySome 2020 Escape/Corsair vehicles built on or before 26-Jun-2020 may exhibit a lack of power steering assist with DTC U3000 in the PSCM. This DTC is set when a battery charger is installed on the vehicle and the ignition is cycled ON. For vehicles that set this DTC due to the use of a battery charger, the DTC can be cleared and power steering assist restored without replacement of the PSCM. To clear this DTC using the FDRS, select and run the PSCM - Reset the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) application. Once cleared, cycle the ignition. Reprogram the PSCM using the latest version of FDRS. It is not recommended that a battery charger be installed and running on the vehicle when the ignition is cycled. For claiming, use causal part 3C529 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

SummarySome 2020 Escape vehicles equipped with the 1.5L and an 8F24 transmission may exhibit a light to moderate buzz/sizzle/rattle noise heard while seated in the driver's seat. This noise can be heard under moderate to heavy acceleration (2500-4000rpm) and radiates from the lower left side of the dash panel. This may be due to the manual park release cable internal steel cable rattling against the plastic covering. Disconnecting the cable from the transmission will aid in determining if the manual park release cable is the cause. If it has been determined that the cable is the cause of the condition, use updated service parts LX6Z-7D246-N and LX6Z-7D246-L to correct this condition.

SummarySome 2020 Escape vehicles built on 24-Sep-2019 and through 15-Jun-2020 may exhibit a condition where the interior A-pillar trim panel appears to be out of position and/or the edge of the headliner is exposed near the top of the interior A-pillar trim panel. Inform customers that Ford is developing a new A-pillar trim panel to remedy this cosmetic issue. The new part is expected to be available in August 2020 and a TSB will be published at that time. Let the customer know that they can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment for repair in August. Once the update becomes available, contact the customer and confirm the service appointment is going forward. Monitor OASIS for updates.
