Driving down I96 highway, the sunroof/moonroof shattered/exploded with no apparent cause. A loud popping noise followed by spider cracking and fragmenting glass was the result. After closing the top, the glass started to fall. No foreign objects found. Brand new vehicle, first time driving in severely cold weather, brought back to Ford dealership who found "no reports" of defective sunroof/moonroof. There were no cars in front or any overpasses that something could have been dropped from.

The backup camera isn't working properly; it's very dim and glitchy. This was a known and recalled issue for 2021 - 2022 Ford Edges, but because of my VIN number, they won't fix it without charging me. If I'm having the same issue as the other recalled ones, why won't you service mine?

The transmission makes a loud “bang” when shifting from first to second gear. A simultaneous vibration can be felt in the driver seat when this happens. There is also an extremely hard up shift from first to second gear. A dealer reprogrammed the transmission computers but the issue is still present.

- #11617712October 2, 2024SERVICE BRAKES
I was stopping at a yellow light and the brakes were slow to respond nearly resulting in a collision with the car stopped in front. I initially attributed this to wet brakes since it was raining heavily and I had only gone a short distance. I returned home without further incidence. The next morning my wife took the car and nearly drove into traffic after the car was slow to stop leaving the subdivision. I had the car towed to the dealer, they said the brake booster had failed and that brake booster part is on back order and wouldn't available until the end of October or early November. The car is 3 years old with 25,000 miles. I think the parts back order status may be the result of unexpected demand because of a high failure rate. The dealer said the part in question is a common component used on many different Ford models. I'm not aware of any work stoppage or surge in vehicle demand that would account for the part shortage.

I hit a very large item, a diesel tire, and although it broke the tires control arm or axle and was driving and sliding sideways, the cruise control never turned off. Even after hit the brakes it took it a minute before it turned off. This is a big safety issue.

I have a 2024 Ford Edge SEL. The issue is the the driver front and passenger front head rests. The head rest is only adjustable up to down, not forward or back. The current position of the head rest with the seat in normal upright driving position forces your head into your chest and you are looking at the floor with no neck support. There is no position to adequately support your head and neck with the current headrest. It is tilted too far forward toward the windshield. Dealer confirmed. Dealer looked it over and said this is how its made. No warnings. Just the position of the headrest appears to be tilted extraordinarily too far forward. High potential for injury in a crash. What I'd like to see is an alternate Headrest to alleviate the angle the current one poses upon the drive rand passenger.
