Summary2021-2022 F-150 vehicles with 2.7L, 3.3L, 3.5L EcoBoost or 5.0L engines, 2020-2022 Transit vehicles with 3.5L Duratec/3.5L EcoBoost engines, 2023 Bronco with the 2.3L engine having charging system diagnostics performed in the Workshop Manual (WSM) may experience the generator voltage desired (GENVDSD) parameter identification (PID) missing from the powertrain control module (PCM) PID list in the Ford Diagnosis And Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. This may be due to a software parameter in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.

SummarySome 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with a soft top roof may experience a strut that has detached from the soft top frame. It is not possible to reinstall one of these struts once they become detached from the frame. If this occurs, a service strut must be ordered which will arrive with a compression bracket which maintains the exact strut length required for installation. For installation instructions, refer to the Workshop Manual, Section 501-18A. The larger, rear struts are available by ordering (service part number: M2DZ-78515A60-B). The smaller, front struts are available by ordering (service part number: M2DZ-78515A59-B). Each part number contains 1 strut.

SummarySome 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 2.7L or 3.0L EcoBoost engine may exhibit noises coming from the brake pedal while applying and/or releasing the brake pedal or while the vehicle is off without brake pedal application. A single click and/or clunk may be heard during brake pedal application and again on brake pedal release and is considered normal. Clicking may also be heard while the vehicle is off, and without the brake pedal being applied. The clicking heard with the vehicle off is due to the EBB going through the normal shut-down process. The amount of noise will vary between EBB modules and replacement of the EBB module is not expected to reduce the noises.

SummarySome 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 2.7/3.0L engine may experience a loss of the go over any terrain (GOAT) mode and/or differential locking function when two diagonal wheels lose traction simultaneously while the other two wheels maintain traction. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0415 may be set in several modules. The issue should correct itself after the vehicle is driven on flat ground and over 28 MPH for a few minutes. This may be due to the software within the anti-lock brake system module (ABS). To correct this condition, reprogram the ABS module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use casual part 2C219.

For some 2021 Mustang Mach-E, F-150, Edge, Nautilus and Bronco vehicles technicians may experience the inability to update the accessory protocol interface module (APIM), telematics control unit (TCU) or gateway module (GWM) using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) and Universal Serial Bus (USB) drive. The PTS OTA Dashboard on vehicles with this condition may also display multiple APIM and/or TCU updates have failed, and/or a no OTA history message. In addition, on vehicles with this condition, the customer may have reported experiencing a Ford Power-Up software update failure message via the vehicle display and/or FordPass/LincolnWay. This may be due to an internal software error. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to update and/or recover the APIM/TCU. Note: Only 10% of vehicles may require this procedure.

SummarySome 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with a soft top roof may experience a broken window buckle on the rear quarter or rear window assemblies. It is no longer required to replace the window assembly to repair this condition. Order the following buckle parts as needed: male side of the buckle (M2DZ-00817-C), which is located on the soft top window assemblies and the female side of the buckle (M2DZ-00817-A), which is located on the soft top cover. To install the male buckle, cut and remove the old plastic clip leaving the fabric loop (on the window assembly) fully intact. The service replacement male buckle includes an open slot that is used to slide the fabric loop through for installation. Sewing is not required for installation.
