Vehicle came without any provision for flat tire. I discovered this after purchase. There is no spare tire, there is no tire inflation (fix-a-flat) provision. Contacted dealership and manufacturer and they confirmed that vehicle does not come with any provision for flat tire. Prior years, same vehicle did come with spare tire and jack. Vehicle chassis has spare tire well and is designed to hold and carry spare. Furthermore, manufacturer makes an OEM "spare tire kit" that can be purchased and retrofit by dealership service mechanics at total cost of over $1,500. Manufacturer has refused to furnish me with any solution. I must pay over $1,500 only to drive safely. This is wrong. Please intervene and stop them from taking advantage of me.

Forward collision warning and adaption cruise fail on every drive over 20 to 50 miles. This has been occurring since new. Three trips back to dealer have failed to correct. A visit to a second dealer who stated it is a common problem without a current fix.

A light was coming on and off shortly after my husband and I purchase the vehicle from Landers in covington tn. On 10/24/24 I showed the manger of store AJ. And he advise me to make sure I address this with the service department. Misty was the lady that did my oil change and tire rotation that day. I showed her the picture, she couldn't tell me what it meant, but she started that it was probably a dirty sensor. My husband was involved in a car accident on [XXX]. He left the road way due to a deer striking a light pole. Our biggest concern is when he first hit a driveway culvert the emergency breaking did not engage and after striking the light pole. Not one air bag deploy, which could have resulted in less injuries to him. And this is the 2nd crash this vehicle has been in. The first one is when I struck a deer head on. And again the emergency braking did not engage. And from the body shop that repaired that I quote " the air bags should have deployed since you hit the deer head on" INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

- #11657611April 29, 2025EXTERIOR LIGHTING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The daytime running light on the drivers side stopped working. Appears to be a very common problem on 2021 durangos. After inspection of the headlight assembly, it appears the DRL are 2 separate strips which makes it highly unlikely that both LED strips failed at the exact same time. This leads me to believe the issue is electrical. I dont want to replace the headlight assembly with an underlying electrical issue and dodge does not want to take responsibilty and investigate further. They want to replace the headlight assembly. This is an ongoing issue with many durangos and it needs to be properly addressed

Complete brake failure when stopping for a red light. This caused the vehicle to rear end a Jeep stopped at the light. Brake pedal went completely to the floor. This was verified by the investigating State Trooper, who started the Durango and checked the brakes, they went all the way to the floor as indicated in his report.

Rear spoiler flew off on highway as I was on my way to my son‘s [XXX] birthday party with a vehicle full of children. This is a major concern because it could have endanger the people in the vehicle as well as the people outside of the vehicle on the highway. This was a disaster. No one was hurt, but I have full intentions on contacting my attorney. After research there was a recall for 2021 through 2023 on spoilers for the Dodge Durango possibly not being intact and could potentially fly off. I purchased this vehicle with less than 500 miles on it at the end of 2023 December to be exact I was never notified of a recall and after a year and a half later, it happened to me. What should I do and how should I proceed? I have pictures and videos. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2021 Dodge Durango. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the vehicle started to pull to the left, and the steering wheel became difficult to turn. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact felt a vibration in the steering wheel, and the vehicle pulling to the left or the right while driving downhill or on the highway. The vehicle was driven to the residence. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed with wheel alignment and steering wheel failure. The wheels were aligned, and the steering wheel was adjusted; however, the failure recurred two more times. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,854.

Fuel System- Had the Durango 1 month spent 50k. At least 50% of the vehicle attempted starts fail. The second attempt the vehicle starts every time. Started researching this, this is very common on the newer Durango's as well as the older ones. I have a huge fear of being stranded and the cost associated with that. I had it looked at the dealer I bought it from and they could not replicate the problem, however when I got into leave it did it the first try. Here's a forum link with supportive material that should support this NEEDS to be a recall. There's tons of online discussions on people experiencing this. Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Willoughby, Ohio. I traded in my 2022 Ram 1500 V8 HEMI Midnight Edition, which was in mint condition with only 8,800 miles, because I needed a vehicle with more space after the birth of my child. I chose a Dodge Durango GT Premium, effectively trading down, and I expected not to come out of pocket for anything. While I was willing to cover the taxes, I did not expect any further expenses—especially not for basic safety or cosmetic issues. Right after leaving the lot, I noticed that all four tires on the Durango were severely worn, and one had a deep cut, making it a legitimate safety hazard that could result in a blowout. I immediately returned and showed the salesman, who refused to replace the tire, even the damaged one, instead offering new tires at what they claimed was “dealer cost”—$271 per tire. However, I quickly found the exact same tires available from major retailers like Walmart and Amazon for $198–$226, proving that the dealership was not being transparent about their pricing. In addition to the tire issue, I also noticed numerous paint chips all over the front end of the Durango while I was still at the dealership. At first glance, I assumed they were just dead bugs. It wasn’t until I took a closer look that I realized the paint was chipped in many spots. Rather than offering to fix it or even acknowledge the issue, I had to ask for a paint chip marker myself. They never offered to repaint the area or do anything beyond handing me the pen. This is a vehicle I had just agreed to purchase, and this level of poor presentation and lack of attention to detail is unacceptable

I have been having issues with the start button, the engine cranking but not turning over. It will crank for 30 seconds, not start, all the lights come on and usually on the second attempt the car will start. Also I have powered off the radio while driving for a second, then the screen will not turn back on.

While driving on the highway, the engine overheating light came on, the car seemed to be losing power, and I pulled over and was then towed to the dealership. My safety was put at risk as I could have been hit as the car was slowing down in fast traffic; it also was extremely cold (about 5 degrees F) while I waited for the tow truck. The tow truck driver noted that I had lost coolant fluid due to a large puddle beneath the car. The dealership reported that the aluminum coolant line had rubbed against the transmission cooler and had broken through, causing a loss of fluid. The dealership replaced the coolant line and also stated that they cut an extra piece of aluminum and wrapped it around the coolant line to reinforce that line and stop it from rubbing through by rubbing against the transmission cooler. I stated that this seemed like a design defect but the dealership responded that these things just happen. I note that there appears to be a similar recall in 2022 Durango Hellcats for the coolant line being subjected to abrasion from rubbing on the serpentine belt. The dealership did not return the parts to me; I do not know whether they provided them to the manufacturer for inspection.

DRL on left side does not work. After looking online it looks as if this is a common issue and most likely 2021 models are no longer working. It is safety hazard due to it being a light.
