The Driver's Side headlight Daytime Driving Light and Blinker stopped working at around 40k miles. We currently have have about 85k miles on it. The dealership stated is till cost over $1,000 to replace the headlight as the LED DRL and Blinker is not replaceable and the entire unit must be replaced.

The contact owns a 2021 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the driver's side front LED headlight was flickering. The driver was unable to drive at night. The Police had made the contact aware of the situation. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was determined that the lamp housing assembly needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that there was no warranty coverage for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 58,359.

My 2021 Dodge Durango drivers side daytime running light went out around 55000 miles. I do have an extended warranty through the manufacturer, but was informed that this is not a covered part despite it being a known issue and a “max care warranty”. The reason being that it is considered a “bulb” however to replace it requires the entire new left headlamp assembly to be replaced, per the dealership. This is a high cost of around $1650. Regardless of the cost, This is a safety issue and a concern for myself as well as others on the road. A quick search shows this is a known and ongoing problem with the 2021 dodge durangos in particular the drivers side daytime running light which does not have a safe, cost effective fix. I ask for you to take a look at the many people who have been impacted and the safety concern associated with this.

Vehicle engine shut off while driving approximately 50mph. No prior issues or warning lamps. The failure happened without any warning. I had over half a tank of fuel at the time of the stall. Loss of engine propulsion is extremely dangerous as I was in rush hour traffic on a major highway in Houston, TX. Luckily the stall occurred at an exit and I was able to safely get to a area to pull over. Dash read out said I needed to be in park to start the engine. Engine started without issue and I finished my drive home.

The contact owns a 2024 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that the vehicle was equipped with dual exhaust pipes located on the driver's side and passenger's side of the vehicle. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed that a part of the passenger's side rear bumper that was close to the exhaust pipe had melted significantly, and the failure started to occur on the driver's side rear bumper. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the modifications to the vehicle, or the vehicle itself, might have sustained an impact that caused the exhaust pipes to move closer to the rear bumpers. The dealer ran the vehicle's Carfax report and confirmed that no accident had been reported. The dealer determined that the exhaust system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to several independent mechanics, where the contact was informed that the exhaust pipes needed to be extended outward. The dealer notified the manufacturer of the failure, but the manufacturer declined to cover the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 9,500. The VIN was unavailable.

Left turn signal stopped working. I learned to find out that it’s not replaceable. The whole headlight assembly needs to be replaced the cost of it over $1000. My vehicle is only four years old. Why isn’t it on a recall or replaceable by the manufacturer on the warranty?

On the morning of July 8th our carbon monoxide detector went off. It woke us up at 4:00 a.m., I went down to check what was beeping open my garage door to see where the smell is coming from and my garage was close to 100°. I woke up my boyfriend and we tried to get the car out of the garage and into the driveway. The car was towed to a dealership near us, and they have had the car ever since, today is September 2nd we still do not have our car back and it still does not run right due to the fire in the gas tank they suspect that it was a faulty fuel pump. My car insurance has paid for these repairs thus far. But the car could have exploded and could have harmed me or my husband or my grandkids or my neighbor it's a very scary incident and we really do not want the car back.

My driver side front LED turn signal has failed after 42,890 miles. My safety and others safety is affected as my drivers side front LED turn signal is no longer functioning which makes it hard for others to know I’m turning left. The turn signal has stopped functioning on Monday, Aug 25th 2025 resulting in it not functioning since. Warning light shows on dashboard in “stored messages” on instrument cluster (pics and video of both can be provided). The vehicle has not been inspected by the dealership or anyone else yet. The vehicle is scheduled to go into the shop late September for brakes (will have them look at code for led turn signal being out). Reading over my extended warranty from the manufacturer and asking a representative; they informed me that the replacement of a headlight assembly was not covered under warranty, but gave no proper explanation why. Only that it’s not listed under covered parts; yet covered parts does state a “concealed headlamp module.”

The vehicle suffers some type of known issue that is causing a driver's side daytime running light failure. From all the research I have done and forums I have read, this is ALWAYS the driver's side failure. The manufacturer can offer no solution to this when questioned about it other than offering up a complete headlight assembly at over 2000 dollars. The LED lighting that fails is non replaceable and non repairable. Having this failure on the driver's side can cause immediate threats in low visibility situations that could lead oncoming traffic to believe the passenger side that continues to always work is actually the driver's side. This causes in my opinion a threat of head on collision in low visibility such as dense fog like i have in my area daily.

The contact owns a 2023 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that upon shifting into reverse, the vehicle failed to respond with the message “Service Shifter” displayed. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact shifted the gear shifter between neutral and reverse until the vehicle responded as needed. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. There was no warning light illuminated. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.

I am experiencing ongoing and serious issues with the infotainment system in my Dodge Durango. The screen frequently goes blank and enters a restart loop that continues over and over while the vehicle is in use. During these episodes, critical features such as navigation and the backup camera are unavailable. This creates a significant safety hazard: I rely on navigation for driving directions, and when the screen goes blank or freezes, I can easily miss turns or be distracted trying to recover the system. The lack of a functioning backup camera during these times is especially dangerous, as reversing without visibility increases the risk of an accident or injury. I have attempted the recommended soft reset using the power and tune buttons, but the problem persists. I have also taken the vehicle to dealerships multiple times, and their “solutions” have been limited to replacing wiring harnesses or attempting unrelated fixes that clearly do not address the root problem. This not only wastes time and money but also shows that dealerships currently have no remedy for this defect. What concerns me most is that this is not an isolated incident. Many Durango owners across the country are reporting the same issue online, with no clear resolution being offered. This points to a widespread defect in the infotainment system that directly impacts vehicle safety. Drivers are being forced to operate without reliable access to navigation, backup camera visibility, or other safety-critical functions integrated into the screen. This issue needs to be addressed at a national level by Dodge/Stellantis before it results in accidents or injuries. Simply replacing wiring or pushing the burden onto individual owners is not enough — a real fix is necessary to protect driver and passenger safety. I am submitting this complaint regarding recurring safety-related defects on my 2023 Dodge Durango RT. 1.Uconnect Failure: The Uconnect infotainment/communication box has repeatedly failed, causing loss of access to critical vehicle functions. These failures affect visibility of system warnings, navigation, and driver settings, creating distraction and limiting awareness. 2.Driver-Side Daytime Running Light (DRL) Failure: At just 40,000 miles, the driver-side DRL failed. This significantly reduces vehicle visibility to other drivers during the day, creating a safety hazard. What raises my concern further is that I have personally identified at well over 10 other Dodge Durangos in my local area experiencing the same daytime running light issue. This strongly suggests a widespread defect. Both failures directly impact vehicle safety. The Uconnect issue undermines system reliability, while the DRL defect reduces daytime visibility, increasing the risk of accidents. I request that this issue be investigated as a systemic defect requiring corrective action. Dodge owners should not have to repeatedly pay for repairs on essential safety features. FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
While exiting I95 in Jacksonville, FL onto I10, the vehicle stumbled and lost power. Felt like it was running out of fuel. This happened at 500PM on Thursday, 14 August 2025. Thankfully, I am good driver and alert and made a two lane change onto a shoulder. The vehicle barely made it off the road with cars having to scramble to avoid us as we slowed. The vehicle would crank but not start. Upon investigating simple things, I discovered that fuse 70, the fuel pump motor had blown. I replaced with another fuse but the vehicle would still only crank but not start. We even added fuel to ensure it was not a pickup issue. My wife and I were towed home (we rode in the two truck) after a few hours on side of the road. It appears this fuel pump issue is fairly common. I am out of warranty and will pay for a repair myself. However, this could have been a very serious situation had I not been alert and had the room to maneuver across the lanes. No warning lights or any such thing is present on the dash. Also the car was NOT out of fuel.

While enroute to a priority call our officer experienced a catastrophic engine failure. Said vehicle was in the day before for brakes, and our mechanic always does PM to include a check of coolant fluid level, oil and windshield washer fluid, and car was fine. Vehicle overheated, and shut down shortly after, taking officer out of service and leaving call without an police unit to respond. For personal vehicles this creates a risk of car failure, but for emergency responders it is a much higher safety risk based on the nature of our calls we are responding to. At one point last year i had 4 cars all down at once for same issue. I spoke with Dodge dealer who said this is a very common issue. I tried to file a complaint with Stellantis which was not helpful.
