SERVICE BRAKES, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
The brake vacuum pump is bad. It was hooked up to solious and that's the codes it's throwing. Out of no where while driving on the highway my brake pedal became very stiff and difficult to push down. I could barely stop in time off the exit. Now when the truck is in Drive it doesn't even move. When you do go u have to put all your might into pressing the brake down to stop. Even then the pedal won't go down. Very dangerous especially since I had my [XXX] daughter with me. Very scary situation. I looked up recall for VIN but I have 0. Which is weird because there's a recall on 2016 chevy tahoes for this exact symptoms and part. Now I did go to [XXX] and found a recall under my Vin and also a warranty for this part under my Vin. Several months back I took my car in to my local dealer for a recall and asked them about what was going in with my navigation and radio because when I'm driving the navigation system will deter from my destination that I put in and then start flipping through radio stations on its own and will not let me change or control it at all.

SERVICE BRAKES
While my wife was driving her car going down a slope, Her brake pedal fell to the floor loosing brakes and would not return to normal position for a few minutes. I took the vehicle into the dealership over two weeks ago and they have not been able to re-create the situation that took place while my wife was driving the car and still have not returned the vehicle. My concern is that my wife will not feel comfortable driving the car with our toddler and new born if there is no actual repair.

I called my local Chevrolet dealership to get the recalled on my Tahoe fixed and they can’t fix the recall for a full month. I’m very concerned because it’s a recall on the vacuum pump so it affects my brakes. My truck is a daily driver so I will have to gamble for a month on the streets and pray the brakes don’t get any worse.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
It’s happened about 10 times since I’ve owned the car but the dealer can’t recreate it so we are out of luck. The vehicle accelerates on its own. Scenario 1…with constant light steady acceleration, it will lurch forward like I’ve stomped on the accelerator a bit, for about a second then go back to my normal input. Scenario 2, same lurch but this time while coming to a stop at a stop sign WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL ONLY. scenario 3…I’ve been using the adaptive cruise control and had it disengaged by braking, coming to a stop, then parking and turning the vehicle off. Then after getting back in and starting up and slowly pulling forward, the cruise control suddenly and abruptly renegages and attempts to accelerate to the last demanded setpoint. Image this scenario pulling out of a spot at a crowded gas station with pedestrians. I almost ran someone the hell over just now at the gas station and I’ve had enough. The dealer won’t do anything and when I called Chevy engineering they put zero effort into it, it was a 20 second phone call stating if it can’t be reproduced at the dealer there’s nothing they can do. This is absolutely completely 100% dangerous and unacceptable

In September 2024, our vehicle was unable to be start with engine light on. We were unable to get the car into drive or neutral. We were forced to pay out of pocket to have the car towed to dealer, which it needed to be dragged onto the tow truck. Upon inspection at the dealership we were told it was the fuel pump control module that failed and needed to be replaced. They searched recalls and found none on our vehicle but did comment they are replacing these a lot on same type of vehicle. The part was out of stock & backordered likely due to multiple issues, and took 2 weeks to arrive. Reviewing online many have experienced same issue while driving, luckily, we were not. There is an open recall on this part for many models of the same year and time, but for one reason or another our vehicle is not part of that recall #21V739000 / GM #N212332040. The replacement was covered under warranty but does not cover the tow of almost $300.

I can smell gas inside my cabin and also when parked in garage. Mechanic said my fuel injector seals are leaking and this is a known issue . The safety bulletin 18-NA-137 November 2019. This is a SAFETY ISSUE and needs to be addressed for the safety of myself and others. Please issue recall immediately so I can get fixed.

The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while reversing out of the driveway, the vehicle suddenly lost acceleration and the message to restart the vehicle was displayed on the instrument panel. While attempting to restart the vehicle, the vehicle failed to restart and another message that the conditions were not met to restart the vehicle was displayed. The contact contacted OnStar to assist with starting the vehicle. The vehicle was started; however, the engine failed to remain running. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who informed the contact that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V739000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and completed the recall repair. The contact stated that approximately two years later after the recall repair was performed, the failure reoccurred while the vehicle was idling. The message to restart the vehicle was displayed on the instrument panel; however, while attempting to start the vehicle, the started sputtering. The vehicle was towed to the same dealer and the contact was informed that the vehicle needed to be repaired under the recall again. The dealer informed the contact that the remedy was no longer covered under the recall, but the repair would be covered under warranty. The dealer informed the contact that the part was on back order and the vehicle would be repaired once parts became available. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was 8,345.

The windshield wipers stop working. This is the third time it has occurred in the last 8,000 miles. While driving they quit working and will start back after.20-25 minutes. I took it to the dealer and they did a software update however it has done this again. This is a major safety issue.

The contact was able to pull to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle failed to restart. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with fuel pump control module failure. The contact was informed that the fuel pump control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the fuel pump control module was recently replaced prior to the failure reoccurring. In addition, the contact stated that the fuel pump control module was also replaced in 2022. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance.
