On 3 separate instances the car starts to buck, speed dropped from 75mph to 50mg in first instance. Then the engine malfunction light comes on. The engine looses power and will only drive at 30mph. Once pulled over and shut car off and restart, attempt to drive again with zero power from the engine.

VISIBILITY/WIPER, VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES:EXTERIOR
The driver's side mirror vibrates excessively when traveling on the highway or at higher speeds (50+ mph). This has been present ever since taking delivery of the new vehicle on [XXX] and poses a safety risk as it compromises visibility to adjacent traffic. The problem was confirmed by the dealer on [XXX] and repaired according to manufacturer TSB 09-018/24. However, the problem continued to persist after the repair. The defect was reported again on [XXX] and the dealership claimed that they contacted the manufacturer where no additional fix was available. The defect was reported yet again for a third time on [XXX], at which time the dealer still claimed that there was no updated fix. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Going down the road with cruise control I have been used to it dropping a little bit in curves but today and car behind me had to slam on there brakes because the cruise control in a small curve dropped me down immediately from 60 to 45 jerk and all. If the driver behind me had not been paying attention they would have slammed into me since we were both going 60 no other cars around just a small curve on a straight road

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE, SERVICE BRAKES
The contact owned a 2024 Mazda CX-90. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, a clunking noise would emit from underneath the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the control arm had failed. The vehicle had been repaired. The contact stated 3 days later while driving approximately 35 -45 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to respond. In addition, the vehicle was attempted to be veered to the left or right and it failed to drive in either direction. As a result, the vehicle crashed into the rear-ended of the vehicle in front. The air bags deployed. The vehicle was towed and deemed totaled. The contact stated that the other party's vehicle was damaged and towed away. A police report was filed. The contact sustained a left leg, right arm, shoulder, wrist, and neck injuries that required medical attention via hospital. The contact's wife was seated in the passenger seat at the time of the crash and sustained injuries to the right shoulder, wrist, and both the left and right foot's toes that required medical attention via hospital. The contact was unsure of any injuries to the occupants of the other vehicle. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V349000 (Forward Collision Avoidance) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer had been made aware of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was 23,209. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I was pulling into a parking spot. When I do this, my foot is always on the break. I'm an experienced driver (30+ years) and have never had an incident when I felt the car accelerate without my initiation. When I was maybe 5-7 ft from the car in front of me, the car suddenly accelerated (like it was possessed). I immediately slammed on the break and turned the wheel. Thankfully, and amazingly, I avoided hitting the car both in front of me and immediately on my left (the direction I swerved the wheel). No warning lamps, actions, etc were taken by the car itself (other than willing me to smash into the car ahead of me). This incident occurred in a school parking lot. Thankfully, there was no harm to anyone but my confidence in Mazda. But, if I had chosen to pick my children up through the pick-up line, I may have easily hit the car in front of me or a child! Obviously, this can be a tragic situation. Prior to this incident, I have felt that the car regularly does not operate smoothly at slow speeds, especially when accelerating from stop. This is my 3rd Mazda, and I have never felt this lack of control before. I have also noticed that the i-stop works erratically, including when I am moving at 10-30 mph. The light goes on and off when I am slowing down at a light, etc. Plus, when I am stopped at a light, the i-stop will go on for about 20 seconds, then suddenly turn off and the engine will rev up. I shard the stoplight information with the dealer the week after I took possession of the car and was told by the sales manager that this was just normal and a weird part of the electronics of the car. Following this incident, I called the dealer. The service department and manager said that they weren't aware of this issue but took my concern seriously. I then did an online search and found a conversation string on [XXX] with others sharing the same problem. The car’s driver side mirror shakes (glass in mirror) and causing distraction while driving, which seem to be the widespread case. Other 2 CX-90 driven in dealership had the similar issues. The shaking is more prominent at highway speed and while going over bumps.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Car jas adaptive headlight and it malfunctions every other But when it happen low beam and high beam depth go down atlest 20%. This car has very bright light for low beam and since low beam projection tilt down and stuck there while you r driving this make situation so dangerous in night. Light low beam depth(till where it illuminates the road) is so bad it makes you blind and wont be able to judge where the road solid line going to turn. I almost ran into road divider Mazda dealer saying they don’t have solution and mazda has to provide it. I had this in writing when last went for servicing

1st instance 12/06/2023- The battery was drained and it won't start so they changed the battery. Dashboard light says engine malfunction have the vehicle inspected. 2nd instance 02/10/2024- same dashboard light Engine malfunction and Hybrid malfunction. This time they said that DTC was P0E10. They also noticed low battery charge warning. Battery was charged with DCA8000 charger and they said that notif went away. 3rd instance-02/23/2024 same dashboard light. This time they had DTC's of 5. P0E10, P1739:12, P1B05:16, P1739:00 and P1B05:00. to think this is a brand new card purchased last october 2023 with less than 3000 miles.

Started hearing a rattle in the mid console of the car that gradually got worse. When i checked under the car, there was a bolt missing and one hanging that was suppose to be holding the propeller shaft. When i took it to the dealer, they tried to lie and say that they were only loose which is what you will see on the paperwork but when i confronted them that i saw one was missing and the other bent, they said yes, they don’t know what happened but they fixed it.

There has been two dangerous failures both occurring in an intersection. First instance was in December of 2023 whey the fuel pump failed while turning in an intersection. The second incident was a hybrid battery malfunction, rendering my vehicle unusable in the middle of an intersection again. This was 03/2023

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
An ultrasonic sensor located in the right front grill area was determined to have failed producing the following message on the dash display: I-Activsense Temporarily Disabled. Ultrasonic Sensor Obscured. Drive Safely. This message initially appeared at approximately the 1500 mile mark of service and was documented when the vehicle was brought in for routine maintenance to Fort Myers Mazda at mile mark 3583 on 3/12/24. It is my position that safety equipment should be reasonably durable and reliable which is clearly not the case in this situation. There is a small pin sized dimple in the sensor lens. The sensor is currently available for inspection. It is further the position of Fort Myers Mazda that this sensor is not covered by the Manufacturer’s warranty due to component damage.

STEERING
In October 2023 I began to notice that the steering was not working properly. When driving I would notice that the steering would stick and require more force to turn. It would click while turning. I brought it to the tully mazda (nashua NH) who told me that others were experiencing the same but that there was no fix for this yet. On 12/27/23 I again notified tully of this issue and there was no fix for it. On 2/9/2024 I discussed again with tully who advised me that there was a recall to be announced shortly. They did not tell me that there was a safety issue driving the vehicle. On [XXX] while making a left turn (there are two side-by-side turn lanes and I was in the inside/left) i completed my turn and while straightening out the wheel the vehicle overcorrected hitting the vehicle to my immediate right. Car has 5000 miles on it. Numerous issues with car. Unsafe steering. Dealer not able to repair steering until Mazda provides parts for recall. Now on the highway with a medium depressed foot pedal the car speeds up on its own. Happened 2 times so far. Brakes had to be applied to slow car down. It was very brief because I immediately stepped on the brake, but it was definitely an uncommanded acceleration. Both times I did NOT have cruise control on. Definitely not safe.

POWER TRAIN
The vehicle's parking "gear" would not engage. Further, the emergency brake would not engage. Puts all in proximity to the vehicle at risk due to the vehicle rolling into or onto them and damaging personal property. Dealership service department could not recreate the the parking "gear" issue, but were able to recreate the emergency brake not engaging. Vehicle has been inspected by Macdonald Mazda West representatives.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE, BACK OVER PREVENTION, LANE DEPARTURE
The contact owns a 2024 Mazda CX-90. The contact stated while driving the same day the vehicle was purchased, the message "Telematics Malfunction" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where the message was cleared; however, the failure persisted. Additionally, the contact became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V718000 (Back Over Prevention, Forward Collision Avoidance, Lane Departure). The contact stated that while driving, the images of the front-view, side-view, and rear-view cameras failed to appear on the center display intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and the dealer determined that the view monitor control module software needed to be updated; however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,500. Parts distribution disconnect.

The major issue that happened to our newly purchased CX 90 last February 3 with more than 500 miles on it started around 5:30 pm of February 8, while my wife is driving this vehicle with my daughter, all of a sudden the car stopped at the middle of the road with warning signs popping up in the dash screen like I-active sense malfunction, hybrid battery malfunction, engine malfunction light on, and on top of these, critical vehicle malfunction. The car won't start and disabled. Also, the vehicle cannot switch to neutral gear to push/pull the vehicle to the side that made the vehicle blocking the roadway until the tow truck came in. My wife and daughter's life was put in danger when this vehicle suddenly stopped in the middle of the road with cars passing by on both ways. I also found out based on the NHTSA vehicle safety, Mazda recall website, carfax and Kelly blue book, that this particular vehicle with its VIN has a SAFETY RECALL due to its steering issue that may increase risk for crash. This was not disclosed to us when we are on the process purchasing this vehicle and they did state inspection and passed it that made we doubt how did it happened.. The vehicle is now with the dealership repair shop and the last update I receive was the technician is still checking on it.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
On 02/07/2024, malfunction prompts displayed on my dash relating to I-stop functionality, hybrid functionality, engine. Took the vehicle the next day to be diagnosed, the appointment was set as an inspection with oil change, filter change, and the prompts on my dash. I was advised that the issue to the prompts stemmed from the hybrid battery. I was told that contact was made to the manufacturer and that the battery would have to be replaced. The battery is on backlog and it would be about a month to arrive. I called in after leaving with additional questions as to the safety of the vehicle with the hybrid battery problem. The man on the phone said it is safe to drive, what would be affected would be the mileage I would not get because the hybrid portion was not functioning. He mentioned that a separate case was created with another 2024 cx-9 car owner with the same hybrid battery issue. It’s now two known cases with the hybrid battery issue. I called customer service and was provided with case number 00174049. The resolution to that call to corporate customer service is that I would receive a call back from the local dealership about a loaner car with about an hour. I became aware of a fourth recall, that the corporate agent referred to as a campaign, pertaining to the steering wheel. I asked my dealership advisor if that can be looked in addition to the other issues. She stated that she could not because it has not been launched. The corporate agent advised me that notification would normally happen 2-3 weeks. I looked up the steering wheel recall on the dep of transportation website. The recall has been published since the 18 of Jan 2024 and have yet to receive notification. I only found out today when I took the vehicle in for inspection.
