ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
On at least 7 occasions the driver was TRAPPED inside the vehicle. The car failed to start and the doors and windows locked. If the driver had not had a cell phone to make an emergency call he would have been locked inside until someone discovered the problem. Had this happened in Phoenix, AZ in the summer, there is a very good chance the driver would have been dead before he was rescued. The last time was December 11, 2025. We replaced the starter battery for 2nd time in 2 years and 40K miles.

SEATS
My vehicle has 39800 miles (64k kms). I have the exact same issue with my driver side heated seat. The lowest setting may take time to warm up then gets scorching hot. Eventually after heating it up, I will turn it off manually to stop heating it, as it burns. My wife also mentions that the passenger side as well doesn’t seem to heat much. At this low of kms, I should not have this issue but saw someone else have the exact same issue. I have not taken it to the dealer yet as I fear they will charge a fee just to verify the problem. I have an old ES300 and I do not have this problem with the heard seat. My trim level is also the ultra luxury.

I was dropping my husband off at cardiac rehab. I was stopped and had my foot on the brake suddenly the car launched forward into the back of a car parked in front of me. The other driver got out of the car and said he wasn't hurt. We were able to drive the car home stopping 3 times to pull pieces of the car off that were dragging on the road. We took the car to a mechanic at the end of the road. He scanned the codes for us. Pre-collision 2 ClAll ; Intuitive Park Assist ClAll Front Sensor Comm. Circuit ; Front Recognition Camera ClAll ; Lane Keeping Assist ClAll Front Radar Sensor Incorrect Axial Gap ; BCM B124B Light Source Sensor Open/Short. The insurance adjustor totaled the car and they picked it up today. No warning lights showed up on the dash until after the accident.

The dealer informed the contact about a possible diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer declined to accept a Trade-In due to the recall. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that the repair was not available and offered the contact a rental vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 76,000.

The car battery goes dead when car not used in 14days, or not driven on freeway long enough to top off battery. We've had to jump it for being in a cool garage for a couple of days, and the battery is only 2yrs old. The car needs a stronger battery.

The tire (Bridgestone Ecopia 422 Plus 235/55R 20 102V M+S) failed within seconds while driving on the highway at 70 MPH. Luckily I did not lose control and was able to steer the car from the middle lane to the birm thanks to the semi driver on my right who allowed us to get off the road quickly. There was almost no rubber remaining on the rim and the tire pressure sensor was gone. The tow truck driver and NTB tire technician said the tire appeared to have failed due to delamination of the steel belt. Subsequent searches on the internet seem to support belt failure as the cause of the rapid loss of the tire. Walmart has refunded the cost of the failed tire. Bridestone is being less than helpful relative to the remaining three tires, which have less than 2,000 miles on them.

The contact owns a 2024 Lexus RX. The contact stated that while idle at a red stoplight, the entire vehicle began to violently jerk back and forth. No warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with a software malfunction, and the failure was replicated. The vehicle was repaired. Medical attention was sought for severe depression, anxiety, PTSD, memory loss, concussion, head, neck, and back injuries. No police report was filed. In addition, the contact stated that after the injuries, she was no longer able to work or drive. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 22,790.

Dashboard crack in 2024, that started on passenger side near air vent, expanded recently causing the "passenger air bag off" alert to light up and stay on continually. If I were to have a passenger at the time of an accident, the air bag might not deploy, which would be a safety issue. This could possibly lead to a liability issue, so I have not had any passengers but that isn't sustainable, so I contacted the dealer. I was told that the previous recall for cracked dashboards ended in 2017 and that it was cosmetic only, not safety related, but that the part was available for $964.50, not including labor, tax, etc. I feel that a safety related recall should be issued, the previously known dash cracking problem didn't end when their recall did, the fact that my vehicle is primarily garaged preserved the interior integrity, I don't believe I should be penalized for my dash not cracking 8 years earlier. When using android auto and I get a phone call the car screen will not return back to it's original screen. If I use apple car play it's just fine and it works like it should and the screen returns to it's original screen. I had the same issue with my 2022 Yukon when I purchased it. General motors later came out with two software updates and after the last update the issue was resolved. I filed a complaint with lexus three different times and they refuse to correct the problem. The safety issue I have is after the phone call I have to keep punching the screen to get it back. I should be watching the road rather than looking and punching the screen. Why should lexus just build their vehicles for apple and not android since 50% of the phones are android. I have a 2024 identical Rx lexus and it has the same problem. General motors seen the software issue and they corrected it but lexus WON'T. Lexus told me originally that it was a android problem and I didn't know any better until my Yukon was updated and fixed. This vehicle was just taken in to lexus and there where no update to fix the problem. Like I said I've been dealing with this on both vehicles since 2023. Like I said I have filed three case complaints and made ten plus phone calls with NO results. The last call was with the corporate office and was told there was no update software update for android phones.

I bought this vehicle last Thursday, The new Lexus we only drove it three times, but all power down. The first time we were about to go to work, the whole vehicle no power, so I checked the battery, it was 10 Volts, so I used my CRV battery turned on Rx350, it's working, Second time, when I arrived my work place, I turned off the new vehicle, The Whole power down again, After I checked the battery, it showed 12 Volts, after I checked the battery, the power came back. The third time, After working, I got totally locked outside the RX350, I tried so so many times, The Whole power was gone again, so I broke the handle and used the key get into the car, and checked the battery, still 12 volts, after my checking battery, the power back again! So I am sure it's not only the battery problem, but also Power management module something wrong with it, or a module named 89690-0E011 Is damaged , I am very sure the new RX350h needs very very professional technician repair, This vehicle has serious safety hazards and poses a threat to life and safety.

My vehicle caught fire a few days after being repaired by a licensed repair shop in California. The repair was performed by: Brodie's Tire & Automotive Address: 1276 Petaluma Blvd N, Petaluma, CA 94952 Phone: [XXX] After the fire, the repair shop admitted in writing that: • The intake manifold melted after the fire • The engine became “not repairable” • The fire occurred shortly after their repair • They offered to “fix it for free,” which indicates awareness of responsibility The fire caused severe heat damage to the engine compartment, electrical wiring, and surrounding components. The vehicle became unsafe to drive, and the engine can no longer operate. This incident presents a serious safety hazard because the fire happened shortly after a repair that involved components near the engine and fuel system. Improper or unsafe repair work may cause similar fires for other consumers. This incident is already under active investigation by: • California Department of Insurance (CDI) – Complaint #XXX• California Bureau of Automotive Repair (DCA/BAR) – Case No: XXX I am reporting this to NHTSA because the fire and melted engine components indicate a dangerous defect tied to improper repair work, which may pose a risk to other drivers. Carfax shows the vehicle actually had a major accident with airbag deployment, which they failed to disclose. The contact owns a 2022 Lexus RX 350. The contact stated that after refueling, there was an abnormally strong fuel odor coming from the vehicle. The odor was more pronounced while the vehicle was parked in the garage, and the garage was filled with a gasoline odor. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle with a failure of the high-pressure fuel pump. The high-pressure fuel pump was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was returned to the dealer approximately 3 weeks later. The contact stated that the battery and charcoal filter were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was returned to the dealer a third time, at which time the dealer had not performed a repair. The manufacturer was informed of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.

Pot affects 2007-2011 RX350/450= 459,285 units. 1. On Friday, [XXX], the oil cooler pipe burst on our 2010 RX350. 2. All six quarts of engine oil were lost in approximately 700 feet while traveling at 70–75 mph on the highway. 3. Massive amounts of smoke poured from the front of the vehicle & through the air vents, causing my wife & daughter to fear for their safety due to risk of a fire & smoke inhalation. 4. No warning lights appeared on the dash, meaning the vehicle could easily have been driven to engine failure had there been no smoke. 5. 2 Colorado Department of Transportation vehicles & a State Trooper stopped to be sure they were ok & monitor the risk of a fire. 8. Towed & Lexus dealership confirmed seen many 3rd gen RXs with this same issue, some with seized engines because no dash warnings were triggered. 9. Lexus updated part from RUBBER to STEE, acknowledging design flaw. Major Safety Concerns This failure represents a serious safety risk that could have resulted in fire, injury, death, or catastrophic engine/property damage. - Oil spray on hot engine components like the headers & exhaust pipes (700-1100F) poses a legitimate fire hazard considering oil flashpoint (400-700F). - Oil sprayed onto the brakes increased the risk of loss of braking & traction control in sudden/emergency maneuvers. - Engine seizing/stop due to loss of oil could result in an accident if the vehicle stops suddenly on the highway when it seizes, loses control, or the electric steering, braking &/or other safety systems fail. - If this had occurred on a mountain descent from the Rockies into Denver or any other long descent, a fire caused by oil spraying on 700-800F brake rotors or loss of control could have occurred. - Entire underside of the vehicle is coated in oil, contaminating the rear brakes, potentially damaging wiring, solenoids, & other safety-critical components, as well as representing an additional fire risk due to oil on the exhaust pipe. I have a 2022 Lexus RX350 F Sport. There are many complaints for this problem with this era of Lexus that happen daily. When pulling out into traffic the vehicle stutters or hesitates; this could cause a serious accident with injuries or death. I think it is a problem with the transmission shift programming. In an attempt to be fuel efficient, Lexus created a serious safety problem in my opinion. My car is under warranty, I brought it to the dealer and they said that is normal and a known issue with that era of Lexus; there is no fix or repair. Despite being under warranty, I paid to have the transmission system reset to learn my style of driving. The reset had no effect positive or negative. There were 750,000 Lexus RX's made between 2016 and 2022. Nearly all are affected by this problem. Note: Lexus RX450 hybrid uses a different transmission and likely does not have this problem. Please force Lexus to find a fix for this likely injurious, potentially deadly issue.
