My 2024 Lexus RX 350h experienced a catastrophic 12V battery collapse (2.00V), disabling the electronic 'e-Latch' door system and rendering interior handles non-functional for standard use. While a manual override exists, it is not intuitive for emergency egress. Additionally, the electronic parking brake and shift-by-wire systems remained physically locked, preventing the vehicle from being moved to a safe location during the power failure. I am reporting this as a failure of primary safety and fail-safe protocols. Dealer did not consider this a a problem because he said I “needed to read the manual before I ever drove the car”

I want to raise concern about the safety issue and health issues relating to the new LED headlights on cars now. In the morning and evenings, I regularly encounter these extremely bright headlights. It's a big distraction and my driving visual field is impacted by these lights. I would like to see this addressed and resolved! Please advise. I purchased the 2022 Lexus RX 350 used a couple of months ago. While driving down the highway the instrument panel went blank. I was terrified. I continued to drive not knowing what speed I was driving. The instrument panel went panel came back minutes later. Another incident occurred when the car was parked in my driveway. I turned on the engine and the instrument panel was blank. No numbers and no information on the instrument panel. As I drove down the street slowly the instrument panel returned to normal. A third incident occurred when occurred as we were driving on the highway. The light on the instrument panel began to darken. My husband was driving and I was in the passenger seat I was able to access the light app on the dash and restore the light to the original setting. This car is not on the recall list. It should be because this is a matter of life or death. The car had 59000 miles on it when we bought it so it is not under warranty. I contacted Lexus and they refused any help until I take it to a Lexus dealer and have it diagnosed. I don’t drive it daily because I have other vehicles but I would like to be able to drive it and have full use of the instrument panel. The problem repeats itself.

When coming from a stop, the car will not respond to the gas pedal being engaged OR it will begin to engage and then no response leaving the car rolling for a few seconds until a response is recieved and the car engages again. This has caused us to be put in harms way MANY times with oncoming traffic when making turns or in front of oncoming traffic in intersections. The dealer states this is not a known issue however it is all over the internet that hundreds of reports of this issue have been made. The dealer states no fix since they don't "have a problem". MAJOR safety issue. We have reported this many times to Lexus now with no resolve or help from them.

My Lexus 2019 RX450H is making a squishing squeaking brake actuator noise when pressing the brake pedal. I located well publicized TSB’s documenting the awareness by Toyota/Lexus of the problem. (TSB: MC-10245447-9999) Brake Squawk/Knock Noise. I checked with my local Lexus dealership to see if my vehicle had been repaired. It had Not!. Temecula Valley Lexus, 42081 Dealer Drive, Temecula, Ca. 92591. (951)365-6834. I scheduled an appointment for repair on 1/26/26. They rejected making the repair because my vehicle DID NOT have any codes in the computer OR any lights on the dash. They did in fact, confirm the brake actuator noise. I reject that concept because WHO could know ahead of time if a part experiences a (1st time) total failure without throwing codes and turning on dashboard lights? As I read the symptoms of severe problems experienced in a higher level of failure by brake actuators, I would not want to have to experience a crash accident in which the actuator would operate correctly in a hard stop condition or have ABS failure and brake lockup occur. Personal harm and property damage should not have to be an indicator if I can have the manufacturer cover a repair. Please advise What I should do to increase the response in the direction of getting this known problem repaired. I made a 6-mile trip from my garage and back (12 miles total). The next day, my neighbor asked me to come outside to inspect my driveway where I found a trailing stream of oil. The oil leak was substantial enough to visibly observe an unbroken ribbon of oil spanning the entire length of the asphalt street leading to my driveway and a large pool of oil where I waited momentarily for the garage door to open. Needless to say, I then discovered a large pool of oil under the front of the engine on the passenger side. It was the lower oil cooling line. No warning signal appeared reflecting the leak or low oil pressure. I remembered receiving a letter from LEXUS Corporate stating that this was a known defective part and could be repaired at the dealer at no cost to me. However, the caveat was that the age of the car could not exceed 10 years and the mileage 150,000. My mileage was only 106,400, but the car age exceeded the 10 year limit. Did LEXUS think that the defective part would magically heal itself after 10 years? Why put a limit? LEXUS would NOT assist me in any way, so I had the repair completed at an independent shop. I only repaired one side and now fear the other side will go out and the leak will not be discovered in time before blowing up the engine. I'm white-knuckle driving in a car I used to love. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of "good-will" provided by LEXUS for a known defective part (a rubber hose, replaced with a metal one) because they would not stand behind their product. Loyalty is a delicate trait, and they have lost mine.

The vehicle hesitates with apparent gear dragging and audible whining or grinding noises. The condition worsens when driving uphill and includes occasional sudden increases to high RPMs during normal acceleration. A slight burning odor is sometimes present after driving, along with lower-than-expected fuel economy in city and highway driving. The transmission exhibits harsh shifting, hesitation, and loss of smooth acceleration, negatively affecting drivability and raising safety concerns. Dealer inspections have not resolved the issue and claim the condition is normal.

The 2023 Lexus RX-350 has had complete 12 volt battery failure twice in the last year. The hybrid battery charging procedure for the 12 volt battery is insufficient. Twice I have been stranded. The frequency and duration of the hybrid battery charging is not sufficient. A more powerful 12 volt AGM battery is needed. The dealer says I am not taking sufficiently long trips to charge the battery. Last Saturday I took two 30 - 40 minute trips but the battery had only 11.8 volts requiring a 100% charge. There should be a recall to fix this problem.

When accelerating at slow speed, the engine or turbo turns off which causes the nose of the car to take a hard nose dive and then turns back on within 1 second but results in a big loud sound coming from engine/transmission. This issue almost caused on accident because it does a hard engine break where I was almost rear ended but from other drivers perspective, it might seem that I’m break checking them. Showed car to Lexus but they said it is normal but it not normal and should be investigated as it can cause harm to everyone involved if accident were to occur. Situation occurred 3 times this week and it is entirely random and can’t replicate at will.

Brake system sets a high tone pitch indicating failure accompanied by all Brake, ABS, PS, Traction Control Lights. This is an know failure for Hybrid systems. It can occur completely random, while driving without notice. Complete brake pressure is lost with exception of a hard feel to the pedal that allows some incomplete breaking to occur and can also cause locking of the brakes at slower speeds. We replaced The brake actuator as recommended with factory new in March of 2024 Started much earlier. Problem has returned Summer of 2025.

- #11710520January 12, 2026SUSPENSION, STEERING
Hi. I noticed my vehicle was randomly making a clunking noise in the rear end. Also, on the highway, it would drift and was difficult to steer. I took it to dealership to be examined because it was still under warranty. They showed me that the driver's side rear trailing arm was disconnected. The bolt was not even there. They stated that it was caused by outside influence, possibly from hitting something. But I did not hit anything. The only sign of damage was where the loose trailing arm rubbed against the steering knuckle. They also told me it was too dangerous to drive off the lot. Because they claimed outside influence, they did not cover it under warranty. I took it to my mechanic. He believed the bolt had come loose on its own. He thought this because the trailing arm bolt on the passenger side was very loose and about to fall out. The mechanic replaced the missing bolt and tightened the loose bolt. I would like to document that this happened and see if any other people had reported this problem. Lexus denied that there was an issue.

If we don't drive the car for 4 or 5 days, especially in cold weather, the car will sometimes not start due to a drained 12V battery. We've spoken to Lexus of Rockville, MD and Lexus roadside assistance, who are aware of the issue but say the 12V battery is "healthy." Online research shows this is a widespread known issue with Lexus RX350h and RX500h vehicles from 2023 onward: [XXX] [XXX] . A simple software update to ensure that the high-voltage hybrid battery charges the 12V battery to a greater extent when the vehicle is parked should solve the problem, but Lexus has so far not addressed this problem. - #11708478January 3, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I went to reverse the car. Suddenly, the car's automatic emergency breaking system engaged. This occurred on 2 separate occasions. The first time, was in a parking lot during a sunny day. There was definitely nothing behind me, not even a person, but the camera saw a leaf or something small, and engaged the automatic emergency brake. The second time, it was raining in the evening, the sky was dark. I went to reverse (to complete a u-turn in an empty lot). Suddenly the automatic emergency braking engaged. In both instances, if I was reversing (as part of a u-turn on a busy street, this would have been very dangerous. Please investigate this. It was very scary.

The car started showing multiple error messages on the dash and then shut off while in operation, it would not restart without a service call and battery boost. This has happened multiple times. Online research shows this is a common issue with the hybrid models - the 12v battery doesn't get adequately charged, voltage drops and car ceases to work - even while mid drive on the road, this is extremely scary and dangerous.

Battery has "sulfated" twice in 15 months of ownership. Lexus/dealer have replaced battery two times. Considered safety issue since battery could "die" at any time. Could be locked out of car with infant inside or if battery dies while driving, car could become immobile.

Making a left turn at night going about 10 mph I was struck by a car with no lights. He hit the right front of my vehicle going about 55-60 mph. He hit my front strut and headlights and grill and radiator. My airbags did not deploy, the other vehicle’s airbag did. The police told me I should call Lexus and report the problem. The insurance company totaled my vehicle..
