The window regulator for 3 of the 4 windows have failed, the first at approx. 80,000 miles, the second two at 113,000 miles. The windows were not being operated when the component failed and just randomly opened while driving and could not be closed via the switch. This caused distraction and difficulty driving as it was raining for the second incident. When observed, the plastic window regulators were degraded to the point that the plastic was a powder.

The paint on my 2018 Hyundai Tucson began peeling off the side mirrors and the shark-fin antenna on the roof. I have found that many other Hyundai owners are experiencing the same issue. It appears to be a widespread manufacturing defect related to improper paint adhesion, and I believe it should be addressed even though my vehicle is out of warranty.

- #11659237May 6, 2025AIR BAGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Owner [XXX] [XXX] . Driver [XXX] [XXX] ) [XXX] All of a sudden my 2024 Tucson vin: [XXX] gages indicated emergency braking for about 1 to 3 seconds and the front end went down ,(my wife and I went foward ) as though I was stopping (scared me ). It was the forward collision avoidance sys. I was so happy no one was behind me. Avoided a rear end collision. [XXX] we were Traveling west in the left lane of a three lane highway. I released the gas pedal to make a left turn in a left turn lane. The light was red. No one really behind me or to my left. Only one car to the right of me in another lane. This is dangerous! This is my wife’s car. Enough said!!!! Car was at the dealer for a couple of hours. They could not duplicate. Said it could have been my floor mat “that made my emergency lights come on the dash.” “STUPID” This occurred the day after picking up my car from the dealer. Feb. 28, Hyundai replaced the Air bag. STS light came on. Picked the car up Monday. Today [XXX] Thursday) the STS Airbag light came on again. The bag was replaced again. [XXX] the front collision sys emergency stop sys alerted again. Again, Hyundai declared they could not duplicate. This is an unsafe car. A death trap. Hyundai warns death may occur if using while driving can cause death. They also warn us using the emergency brake while driving may damage the brakes or cause a collision. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

- #11659099May 5, 2025FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Driving on the highway when my car stopped accelerating when pressing down on the gas pedal. It was very risky to be driving on the highway without the ability to accelerate so we put our hazard lights on while we got out the highway ay the nearest exit and parked the car in a nearby parking lot. We were stranded about 100 miles away from home and had to have the car towed back home. Dealership confirmed that it was the fuel injector that was the issue and has been a known common issue for this type of vehicle.

Purchased this in June of 2024. Ran fine until August 19th 2024 when I was returning to work from my lunch break. I went home for lunch and everything was fine. On the way back, I was pulling out into highway speed traffic and while merging, the engine just stopped. No warning lights or anything. It just stopped running. The vehicles behind me luckily were able to see what happened and get around me without incident. Once I was able to coast back to a safe area, I proceeded to try to restart it with nothing but a click as a response. Tried a few more times with same result. Called roadside assistance and proceeded to check under hood. Found oil stick barely showing any oil when just under 2 months ago it was full, and I had not seen any warning light indicating low oil. Took oil cap off and felt what was inside and found metal shavings in oil. Roadside showed and pretty much confirmed the metal shavings and my worst fear. Still had it taken to a Hyundai dealership where they told me the motor was seized at it would be $13,200 to fix. Asked about the existing class action suit and pretty got told my engine wasn't part of it. After looking at all the complaints here, not seeing how they CANT classify this as a major issue. Still fighting with dealership I purchased from to get something done.

- #11658340May 2, 2025LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
All new Hyundais have a driver assist warning that does not function well and suggests the driver to take a coffee break every 15-20 minutes if it thinks it detects something that is inattentive. This error distracts the driver from the road and requires the driver to manually clear it with pushing buttons. This is an unnecessary distraction. Hyundai should be able to correct this with a software update, but has failed to do so for at least a handful of years.

The transmission failed, and it's only at 70k. This was only diagnosed AFTER being told that my dual clutch was faulty. I had that replaced, only to be told that my actuator was faulty and NOT the clutch, after haviing paid for the replacement. Now, the vehicle will barely move with rpms through the roof. So not only was Ithe vehicle misdiagnosed TWICE, the cost of repairs was sky high! This could have been avoided. I contacted the dealerships, at they advised that they did everything as hyundai instructed them. Well, hyundai was wrong, and now my vehicle doesn't even work.

The contact owns a 2023 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH, there was a loud explosion coming from the roof of the vehicle. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and discovered that the rear of the sunroof had exploded, and there was glass inside the cabin of the vehicle. - #11658012April 30, 2025FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, ENGINE
I purchased a 2022 Hyundai Tucson brand new, expecting it to be a reliable and safe vehicle for many years. Unfortunately, the fuel injectors failed and had to be replaced far too early in the car’s life. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The fuel injection system failed. The injectors had to be replaced, and the problem persists even after the repair. I believe the issue may still be present and can be made available for inspection if needed. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle continues to run poorly and unpredictably, which puts me and my family at risk—especially while driving at higher speeds or in heavy traffic. I’m concerned about stalling, power loss, or a potential engine fire due to leaking fuel. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, the issue was diagnosed and confirmed by the dealership, and the fuel injectors were replaced. Despite this, the engine still doesn’t perform correctly. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? The vehicle was inspected by the dealership during service, but not by police, the manufacturer directly, or insurance representatives. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes, there were signs of rough idling, engine hesitation, and overall poor performance before the failure. These symptoms started appearing within the first year of ownership. I have since learned that many other owners of 2022 Hyundai Tucsons are experiencing the same issue. I believe this is a widespread defect that poses a safety concern and needs urgent investigation. I was driving home from the store a short distance from my home. The check engine light came on, the car ran rough, lost power and would not accelerate. I was able to get home. My husband checked the oil; it was 2 quarts low. He previously changed the oil 3000 miles prior. He connected a code reader and it read "DCT 1326". I drove slowly on the berm of the road & able to get home. Had I been on an interstate, my life could have been endangered. Top speed a rough 30-40 mph. After my internet search it appears that oil consumption and engine loss is a common problem. My car has less than 60K miles. No prior history and oil changed every 5K miles.I am very upset about the lack of responsibility on Hyundai's part. This is our 3rd Hyundai and we were loyal customers. Oil consumption issues upon oil change no oil registered at all. It was confirmed no leaking and was advised to contact due to recall on this motor using oil. Also advised to request request a motor replacement due to this vehicle already showing signs of this issue to assure it doesn’t lock up.

The emergency braking system slams on brakes prematurely when the car in front of me is 4 or more car lengths ahead which is causing the cars behind me to swerve to avoid rear ending me. The safety of the emergency braking is making the car more dangerous to me and other motorists.
