While stopped at a light the engine completely shut off and put itself into neutral. Nothing worked. Had to press and hold the ignition button for at least 5 seconds to shut down and restart the vehicle.

The truck lights came on, with no reason, ACC and LKAS dealer wants to charge 200 just to diagnose, I keep hearing many have thir problem, honda needs to fix this problem that they know they have.

The A/C in my 2016 Honda Pilot is blowing hot air. On my first visit to the dealer, dye was added to detect the leak at a cost of $422. Upon returning to the dealer a second time, the dealer replaced the A/C condenser at a cost of $1,075, which did not solve the problem. Upon returning to the dealer a third time, the A/C condenser was replaced again, and that also did not solve the problem. Upon returning to the dealer a fourth time, the dealer now recommends replacing the A/C evaporator at a cost of $2216. I believe these parts are defective, as Honda has already issued service bulletins extending the warranty to 10 years for the A/C Condenser in certain vehicles. This new warranty extension applies to the Accord, Accord Hybrid, Clarity, Civic Type-R, and Insight. [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] According to the service bulletins "This warranty extension covers vehicles that have a defective A/C condenser from the factory. The A/C condenser was not manufactured to specification. As a result, corrosion may develop in the form of tiny holes in the condenser tube walls that allow the refrigerant to leak out." See (Warranty Extension: 2019–21 Insight A/C Condenser) I am requesting that the 2016 Honda Pilot be included in the warranty extension, as I am experiencing the same issues for the expensive repairs. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the fuse box had failed and needed to be replaced. The mechanic contacted the dealer to order the parts and was informed that the parts were not available. The vehicle was not repaired. Back up camera just suddenly started showing a wide range of colors. It looks almost like a thermal camera. I am unable to see behind me when I back up. There was no warning of this and it was not a slowly changing issue, the camera worked one day and then the next time this happened. There are many complaints about this online from other owners. The new camera prices are outrageous.

Honda is to replace the fuel pump with a new one due to a recall. I have received my notice to go get one more than 6 weeks ago and they never have any in stock and will not provide me any info on when they will be available. Just that they get them randomly and that there is nothing they can do for me and they refuse to contact me when they got one and told me its like a lottery, if you can and we have one then you are lucky and we will replace.

My vehicle several times has jumped forward when I remote start the vehicle. My car is always put into park gear and the emergency brake applied when parking the vehicle. At the same time the engine starts there is a lurch forward. Dealership does not "know of any issues" at this time.

I am the original owner and have regularly maintained my vehicle. Current miles is around 69k, now needs a new engine. Early engine failure, something about a rod. This is the same problem the 2016, 2018, and 2019 Pilots have been recalled for. Original quote from dealer (Norm Reeves Honda in Vista, CA) to repair was over $10k. I have gotten an offer from Honda America to repair it for $1982 now, but the value may be as low as $11,500 after I pay to repair it. About 2 weeks ago I had a Carmax offer for $19,000. Not sure why the value of the car would drop almost $8,000 after I pay to repair it. I see many people online reporting early engine failure on their 2017 Honda Pilots, too. After we shared on Instagram that we were stranded 700 miles from home (and had to pay for a hotel, two rental cars, and $700 to have the vehicle shipped to our dealer for repair) we have heard personally from other owners who had the same problem with the same car.

The state investigator indicated that while the 2022 Honda Pilot was being driven by the owner, the accelerator pedal had malfunctioned and the vehicle suddenly experienced unintended acceleration. During the incident, the vehicle's speed had increased above 100 MPH. The driver was unable to stop or slow the vehicle when pressing the brake pedal or when activating the emergency brakes. A State Trooper Cruiser vehicle was used to forcefully ram into the side of the vehicle to make the vehicle reduce speed and eventually stop. During the incident, the driver sustained undetermined minor injuries. No further information was available. A police report was taken and the vehicle was towed to the local dealer. No further information was available. The manufacturer was not contacted by the investigator. The failure mileage was unknown.

Screen on backup camera is not clear. It now has purple and green coloring and is impeding the picture on the screen. The dealership thinks it is due to the wiring with the backup camera. When backing up I cannot clearly see if any objects are behind me. This is happening each time I reverse. There were no warning sign that I noticed. I did, however, have problems with the current recall with wiring and the audio almost immediately after buying the new car. Took it into the delearship on many occasions to have fixed, prior to recall. I’ve ready many similar issues happening after the recall is fixed.

For the last few years the idle stop feature has resulted more than one dozen times of me being stuck at a stop light and not being able to get the car started. It will idle off and when I lift my foot off the break it will have trouble starting back up. If I wait a minute or so it can sometimes start back up but at least four times it has required a jump start to get it started again. It’s extremely stressful and scary to be at a light and stuck there with people honking and having to get out of the vehicle in a busy intersection to try to jump start the vehicle. I try to remember to turn off the feature every time I start the car but I forget sometimes. After the latest time being stuck with a toddler and trying to get someone to stop to jump start my car I am sending in a report.

Honda informed me of the recall of my vehicle back in January 2024. I have tried to attempt to get this fixed at my local dealership. I was told they did not have parts and expected them in April. To date, I have not heard anything. I just took my vehicle in for service and was told they had no update as to when parts would become available for this recall. This recall happened because of the dangers that the faulty fuel pump presents to consumers and I'm not seeing enough to be done by Honda to rectify this in a reasonable timeframe. What happens if something happens to my vehicle or my safety as a result of Honda being unable to fix this defect?
