Passenger side air bag light does not indicate that the airbag is on. This happens very often when you sit in the passenger seat and fasten the seat belt. This has been happening for several weeks.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The Blower Motor Resistor and Harness are faulty causing smoking and short circuit instead of blowing a fuse. Im afraid this could cause the car to catch on fire. I opened the area where the resistor is located and the equipment reads "MADE IN JAPAN". This makes me concerned that there may be other areas of the electrical system that have not been tested properly for safety.

SUSPENSION
I purchased this 2017 Chevrolet Trax in Dec 2020 with 36748 miles on it. In I believe 2022 I had to have the front driver side tire rode replaced as it was broken at just a little over 50,000 miles on it. Now at 73,027 miles I had to have both sway bars links replaced as they both were broken as well. Upon further inspection from dealership the also found the left front suspension strut needs replacing. I heard noises from front end when turning with popping and creaking as turning. Now after replacing sway bars I have more popping and creaking coming from front end but not just when turning now it's most of the time now and the steering is pulling at different times. It does not feel safe to drive this vehicle anymore. No light came on dash to warn of any issues at all. I have paid for most repairs on the vehicle, but these Costs are adding up more and more.

The air in the car started blowing warm in 2021. I took it to the dealership and they said maybe a leak. They did a leak test and put something I. It to make it cold for a couple days. I’ve been having g the same complaint since. After looking online, I saw that it is a compressor issue. I had an oil change done last week and asked them to look at it. They said it was my compressor. The car is only 7 years old with 77k miles. The cost to replace is too high for a manufacturer’s issue.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
THE EVAP PURGE PUMP SYSTEM FAILURE: it is available for inspection upon request. Pump recirculates engine unburned gasoline fumes to be re-burned by engine. Safety/risk - unburned fumes. Yes, on 07/23/23, a loud explosion was heard coming from underneath the vehicle and said problem was then confirmed by an auto part store by inspecting for a diagnostic code. On 08/01/23 the problem was confirmed by Ingersoll Auto Danbury, Ct. 06810; still awaiting for EVAP-PURGE-PUMP-Part to be received by the above dealership for future repair (repair part not received as of 08/30/23) still driving vehicle until repair. After the pump failure, the dashboard engine light appeared.

The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Trax equipped with Continental Tires, Tire Line: ProContact, Tire Size: P205/70/R16, DOT Number: P50WWBVD4219. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the rear passenger’s side tire experienced a blowout. The contact was able to pull over on the side of the road and replaced the tire with the spare tire. The tire was taken to a dealer that stated that the tire could not be repaired. The tire was replaced. On another occasion, the contact noticed that the sidewall on the front passenger’s side tire was damaged. The tire was not replaced. The manufacturer was contact and stated there was no recall for the failure. The failure mileage was 30,000.

The vehicle did not properly accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. On several occasions the vehicle stalled while idling. Additionally, while operating the vehicle, the check engine warning light remained illuminated, with the stabili-trak message displayed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the turbo charger and exhaust flex pipe were replaced; however, the failure persisted. Design flaw turbo returns too close to exhaust manifold plastic tube melted turbo burned out due to oil leakage to to dealership to make diagnostic and they could not find anything .oil started leaking after my second oil change . Oil has run all the way to the fuel tank can cause a fire . Do I need to pay for this or a dealer issue

This vehicle is programmed to shut off, if the driver leaves the vehicle with the key fob, after 15 minutes. This is very dangerous. I left my pet in the car, in the Florida sun, with the air conditioner running, while I stepped into a store briefly. When I got back to the car, I was surprised to discover my car had shut off. My pet was in a black SUV, in the Florida sun, without air. I researched the owner's manual. The owner's manual indicates the vehicle is designed to turn off, in this situation. I called Chevrolet customer service, and asked if this could be disabled, they said no it cannot be disabled. This is very dangerous for someone, if they leave a pet, an infirm person or a delicate item or product, which needs temperature control. The problem? Chevrolet will not permit an owner to change this feature. It is only a matter of time, before someone or something gets hurt, because the vehicle automatically shuts off, without the owner's knowledge. They do allow other safety features to be selectively disabled, why not this one?

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, she heard an abnormal sound coming from the hood of the vehicle. The contact’s wife veered off the road to inspect underneath the hood of the vehicle when the radiator cap popped open and burned the contact’s wife. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the cooling fan had malfunctioned. Additionally, the electrical circuits failed and needed to be replaced.
