FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
I was driving down the road out of town about 3 hours away from home when I heard a beep and car started to stop, later finding out it was going into “limp mode”. It was then towed to a car shop which was not any help, they stated that they didn’t know what was wrong with it and that I needed to take it to Honda down the road 2.5 miles that it just needed a system update; very mistreated and rude not offering towing service suggestions or anything told me I can still crank and drive it just not fast. I got into my car and drove it to Honda which would not go over 15mph trying to get there before closing on a Friday afternoon. After their diagnosis, I was told it was a fuel pump issue but my VIN was not included upfront but prompted me to file a claim report with Acura to see if I could get a reimbursement later on, which was denied due to no recall listed on my VIN which led me to file this claim to get my VIN reanalyzed as I believe it should be included since it is directly related to the known recalls on Acura and don’t agree that is enough to exclude or disprove my VIN. Unfortunately Honda did not have any courtesy vehicles to offer at the time so I had to have someone come pick me up 3 hours from home. The low pressure fuel pump was initially replaced but then stated there was still issue with my car and it was also the high pressure fuel pump as well, both of which are recalls listed on other various year and models of Acura. About a month prior to this situation, a few lights came on related to ABS, the code read mass airflow, still driving as usual. I made an appointment at mechanic to have it worked on and had to wait a few days, the day of the lights weren’t on and when arrived they stated did not see anything wrong with it but may return if happens again.

The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and 23V751000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that an appointment was scheduled with the local dealer for the recall repairs; however, the contact was informed by the dealer while in the repair bay, that parts were still unavailable. The recall repairs were not performed. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The car is constantly throwing codes for faulty emissions system problem and parking brake problem but the car runs fine. The dealership will not do anything unless I pay them a fee to diagnose it and then they suggest replacing the catalytic converter even though it’s very likely a faulty fuel hose or faulty sensor. This needs to be recalled and fixed immediately

POWER TRAIN
The all-wheel-drive stops working and the car becomes front wheel drive only. There are no warning lights on. The only way you could tell is to jack the car up with all four wheels off the ground and put it in drive to see if all four wheels are spinning. Also the driveshaft should be turning out of the transfer case. The the roads are wet or with snow the front wheels brake free very easy and the traction light comes on, which is also sign. I took it to the dealer and they verified the issue. They said it needs a new transmission and transfer case because the splines on the output shift of the transmission strip out and also damage the splines on input shaft of the transfer case.

All wheel drive system began to fail. Experienced a loud bang followed by a leak from the transfer case that was observed when I arrived home. No check engine lights of any kind just car is stuck in front wheel drive. Dealer confirmed AWD system is not working. No safety risk and no insurance notifications or police because item is covered under warranty.

The contact owns a 2019 Acura TLX. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights illuminated and the back-over prevention camera was independently enabled. In addition, the vehicle stalled, and the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to several different dealers over a dozen times, however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The manufacturer had an electrical technician to inspect the vehicle; however, the failure was not duplicated. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.

Transfer case failure with no warnings or symptoms of problem prior to failure. This is a safety issue as my car was only operating In Front wheel drive due to the transfer case failure. This is a common issue that needs to be investigated.

My vehicle was stolen from apartment parking structure. Car was locked and both keys were with me. Thieves were still able to get in my car and start the vehicle without the keys in less than 5 minutes. This problem has been happening all over the country try with Acura specifically. Just the other day at work another 2023 Acura TLX was stolen. I tried to speak with Acura and they said theft has increased and thieves can steal the car in seconds. This is a huge issue and Acura refuses to do anything about it such as updating their security hardware/firmware. The issue is all over the United States. Now for my new vehicle I need to install a 2000 dollar security system because acuras vehicle security is horrible.

The All Wheel Drive system stopped working due to a transfer case/transmission failure. The repair was warrantied by the dealership however everything that i have read states this is a common issue and acura has not provided a permanent fix to prevent this from happening in the future

The transfer case blows up and which causes the all-wheel-drive system of the car to go away and the car becomes from wheel drive which changes the way the car drives and makes it very dangerous. The car has a lot of oversteer and this is very dangerous to highway roads.

There are two outstanding recalls on my vehicle, and I have been unable to get scheduled for these repairs with Motorcars Acura in Bedford, Ohio. I have been told for almost a year, that I was on a waiting list, and that I should continue to call them for availability. I would like to know what type of resolution there will be going forward, if the dealer is unable to perform these repairs in a timely manner. I am starting to feel concern with driving my vehicle safely.

Three years ago, the car started stalling at traffic lights coming to a stop battery was replaced and the problem went away. A new battery was installed a few months ago and in the last week the same stalling situation has occurred three times. Acura says there’s a software update, and when the car was brought in for the recall on the connecting rod bearings, they said they refreshed the software pertaining to this issue, but obviously it does not work others say that it has to do with the idle stop and that disabling it resolves this problem. I haven’t tested this yet, but I am going to, but it’s an ongoing problem. That’s a major safety concern and could cause a fatal accident.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The vehicle's dash states the following are malfunctioning: Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto High Beam, Collision Mitigation System, and Lane Keeping Assist. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. A few days prior to this message appearing on the dash, the car flashed and beeped that I needed to BRAKE when there wasn't anything in front of me while driving. The car automatically braked without me doing anything. There weren't any vehicles behind me in that specific moment. With how sudden the car braked, this could have caused a collision. This vehicle has been repaired by the dealership where it was purchased, for this exact issue. The first sign of sensors malfunctioning was in January 2022 (I purchased the vehicle in June 2021). I have taken the vehicle to the dealership for repairs 3 times in relation to sensor malfunction and for replacement of rear actuators, which is stated in the Service Repair Summaries. Since the last repair in 2023, the same problem has occurred once again. This latest incident has included the automatic braking without any objects in front of the vehicle. I have not driven the vehicle in two days due to this safety concern.
