Multiple times the seat belt on driver side gets stuck making it a safety hazard, could happen to other seat belts but it is unsafe to have a passenger. The belt gets stuck in the webbing/anchor. I have been stranded in a parking lot multiple times till I figure out how to unstuck it in the webbing/anchor. This puts me in a safety hazard if I am in an unsafe parking lot. And what would happen in a car accident if the anchor/webbing blocks the seatbelt from protecting me? I have disabilities and chronic pain, I cannot imagine another car accident that would further my disabilities.

The car has a egr cooler going out, it caused the coolant to completely drain and the car started to stall on the highway and jolt making it extremely unsafe to drive. It caused the vehicle to start to overheat and not be able to drive while we were driving on the highway, it could have caused a major accident. This is a known defect across 21 rogues but Nissan is reusing to help since it is not a recall. I contacted the dealership and Nissan consumer affairs.

The mirror adjustment knob is broken.this is a very common problem reported by thousands of nissan rouge owners from model starting 2024. The company does not provide just the knob and wants us to buy the complete unit which costs close to $1000.

I was having performance issues and a slow loss of coolant so I took my car up to the dealership to run a diagnostics. It was confirmed to be due to the defect of the engine on my vehicle and all was replaced on Nissan. Now the dealership will not release my car to me after repairs have been completed because they are trying to tell me I am responsible for the diagnostics fee because for some reason they put it in under standard and not recall. And they refuse to change the ticket and resubmit and are unlawfully illegally withholding my vehicle from me until it is paid. I do not have the money to pay for something I am not responsible for and I growing extremely frustrated

I own a 2023 Nissan Rogue with the 1.5L VC Turbo engine. I am reporting an ongoing engine/drivability safety concern involving hesitation, vibration, shuddering/stuttering, abnormal RPM behavior, and trouble accelerating from a stop. On XXX, at about 68,365 miles, a Nissan dealer documented high/fluctuating RPMs and vibration at idle, duplicated the vibration, and performed recall R25D1 by reprogramming the ECM and completing a test drive. On XXX at about 69,410 miles, I returned for continued acceleration problems and vibration. Multiple engine/transmission mounts were replaced, but the symptoms continued. Before another dealer visit in XXX, [XXX] scanned the vehicle after the check-engine light appeared and found P0196, related to engine oil temperature. My Nissan service advisor told me not to disclose that code so Nissan could diagnose the vehicle independently. Nissan then independently found and documented the same P0196 code. Nissan recommended and I paid for repairs including the thermostat assembly, throttle body, and spark plugs after being told they would address my concerns. The dealer’s own repair record states the shuddering was reduced but still present. I continue to experience hesitation, vibration, shuddering/stuttering, and abnormal RPM behavior. I also continue to receive an engine oil service message even after an oil change and reset. My concern is that Nissan Recall 26V080 covers certain 2023–2025 Rogues with this same 1.5L VC Turbo engine for increased engine oil temperature that can degrade lubrication and lead to bearing seizure, engine damage, or engine failure. Nissan Consumer Affairs says my VIN is not included. I am asking NHTSA to review whether vehicles outside the current recall population may be experiencing the same or related engine oil temperature and drivability problems. The vehicle is available for inspection and I have dealer repair orders and diagnostic records. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

passenger airbag light turn off a few second after starting the vehicle. Nissan of Staten Island, NY Technician tried to perform zero-point rest but was unable to do. Found current code B0040-00 Occupant sensor unit in abnormal voltage and pass diagnostic trouble code B-00A0-02 occupant sensor unit malfunction. Recommended to replace occupant detector unit and seat frame . It costs $3,133.26. My concern is that this appears to be a known Nissan issue addressed in Technical Service Bulletin NTB19-071A, which applies to Nissan vehicles experiencing OCS sensor failures. While Nissan has acknowledged the issue through a technical bulletin, no recall was issued, leaving owners responsible for a very costly safety-related repair. I believe it is unreasonable for customers to bear the full cost of correcting a known defect involving the airbag occupant classification system, particularly when the repair exceeds $3,000.

- #11770484October 11, 2026VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
While driving my 2023 Nissan Rogue at highway speeds, the vehicle suffered a sudden, catastrophic loss of motive power without warning. The engine completely failed and would not restart, leaving me stranded on a live highway and nearly causing a major multi-vehicle accident. The vehicle had to be towed directly from the highway to a Nissan dealership. This failure is directly related to NHTSA Campaign Number 26V-080 (Nissan Recall R25E2) for engine bearing failure and lubrication degradation. The sudden loss of acceleration at high speed created an immediate and extreme crash hazard."

On 9/29/2026, my 2025 Nissan Rogue was parked in the parking garage at my workplace. When I left for the day and arrived at my vehicle, I noticed shattered glass on the ground behind it. I immediately went to the building security office to report the incident. Security reviewed the camera footage and identified a three‑minute window in which the damage occurred. No individuals or vehicles were near my car at the time of the spontaneous rear‑window failure.

On December 30 2025, at 33,277 miles, I had an engine failure due to a cracked head. I was stranded on the road in 24F temperature outside and the vehicle had to be towed. It lost acceleration power and heat. Several warning messages and lights were on. Eleven weeks later, Nissan replaced the engine. Two weeks later, the catalytic converter went out and had to be replaced. Four months later, in August, the turbo went out and had to be replaced. On October 7 2026, at 46,800 miles, the new engine failed and I was again stranded at 44F temperature outside and the vehicle had to be towed. No warning lights or messages. It lost acceleration power and heat. It is currently at the Nissan dealership awaiting diagnostics. I drive 100 miles a day. I cannot continue driving such an unreliable vehicle and risk being stranded on the road in adverse conditions again.

The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 - 40 MPH, the vehicle unexpectedly stalled, with the message "Engine Malfunction - Power Reduced" displayed. Due to the failure, the vehicle failed to accelerate as needed, and the vehicle was coasted and push into a parking lot. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed with throttle body failure. The contact was informed that the throttle body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact believed that the failure was associated with a previous transmission failure and replacement and suggested to the dealer that the failure was associated with the throttle body. The dealer informed the contact that the throttle body had been replaced; however, no paperwork was provided to the contact about the repair. The failure mileage was 63,000.

My daughter suffered a catastrophic failure of the drivetrain in her 2023 Nissan Rogue while leaving Knoxville, Tennessee, on [XXX]. I had the car towed to Ted Russell Nissan, 8565 Kingston Pike, 37919. After a few days, they informed us that it would be repaired under warranty and provided us with a new Nissan Rogue (vin#[XXX]) as a loaner/rental free of charge until the repairs were completed. Five days later, she placed her three year old son in his car seat in the back passenger side of the Rogue, in the driveway of her home in Johnson City, TN. When she walked around to the driver’s door, the car locked itself, locking the key fob, her phone, and her son in the car on a hot sunny day. She used a tablet to call her mother who called 911. The police were dispatched and extracted the child by breaking into the driver’s door. The lock system clearly failed, as it is not supposed to be possible to lock the key fob in the vehicle. Clearly, the child’s life was threatened by this failure. I contacted the dealer and relayed this information to them. Their only response was ‘is there any damage to the vehicle’. When I returned the vehicle on September 12, they had no questions about the incident and made no indication that they intended to investigate or repair this problem. There were no warnings or indications that the lock system was failing. The dealer made no effort to contact my daughter, the police, or other witnesses to the incident. While their indifference to the safety of a child is beyond offensive, I am concerned that they had not addressed this failure and someone else could be at risk if they rent or purchase that vehicle. This form did not allow me to upload it, but I also have security camera footage of my daughter being locked out of the vehicle, the frantic effort to comfort the child through the window while waiting for the police, and the traumatized child being remove from the vehicle. On [XXX], I was driving for about 40 minutes on the highway when my car stopped accelerating and the dashboard said it reduced power and required service. It was towed to Lia Nissan in Schenectady NY where they said it was an electrical recall and that they fixed the problem. Then on [XXX], I was driving on the highway again for about 40 minutes when the same issue occurred. I stopped being able to accelerate and the car went into reduce power mode. It was towed to Country Club Nissan in Oneonta NY where they had my vehicle from 8/7/26 until 9/4/26. They determined it was an oil temperature control valve that needed replacing. On [XXX], on the same spot on the highway, my car stopped accelerating and broke down yet again. It was towed to Country Club Nissan in Oneonta NY again where they replaced the same part they’d previously replaced. Both times, the oil temperature in my car was overheated. Now I’m unable to drive it on the highway for fear it will happen for a 4th time. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
