  Some customers may complain that the ambient temperature on the instrument cluster is displayed more than 50 °F (10 °C) lower than the actual temperature, resulting in insufficient performance of the air conditioning. This is caused by inappropriate soldering in the ambient temperature sensor. To eliminate this concern, the soldering process has been enhanced at the supplier.

This operating condition can occur on new vehicles which have been delivered to Mazda dealers (due to loading and unloading from transport trucks or customers moving their vehicles in and out of their garages to wash the vehicle, etc.). Mazda Motor Corporation has decided to conduct an Owner Notification Program on certain 2023MY CX-50 vehicles built at the Mazda Toyota Manufacturing Alabama (MTM) plant and sold in the United States equipped with the Mazda original accessory Roof Rail Crossbar part # VA40V3840 and VA40S3840. Please see the description, model, year, and VIN ranges below. Concern Outline: To reduce wind noise, an Aero-Infill kit containing rubber strips are inserted into the CX-50 roof-rack crossbars, making for a quieter driving experience. The rubber strips do not need to be removed once installed.

  Some customers may complain that the tire sidewalls are distorted or "damaged". Sidewall waviness/indentations/undulations are common on radial tires and are more noticeable on tires with taller sidewalls. The higher the tire pressure, the more noticeable the effect will be. Be sure to set the tire pressures at the recommended tire pressure on the vehicle tire label. Sidewall indentations are a cosmetic condition that does not affect the performance of the tires.
