SummaryThe Data Communication Module (DCM) in the subject vehicles are equipped with software to identify the location of the vehicle using the Global Positioning System (GPS) to support features of the Safety Connect system. Due to incorrect programming in the DCM software, after November 2nd, 2019, the GPS coordinates for this system will be calculated incorrectly. This will cause the system to use incorrect vehicle coordinates if one of the system?s features is activated

SummaryTSB: REVISION NOTICE December 10, 2019 Rev2: ? The Parts Information and Required Tools & Equipment sections have been updated. November 14, 2018 Rev1: ? The Parts Information and Required Tools & Equipment sections have been updated. Any previous printed versions of this bulletin should be discarded. SUPERSESSION NOTICE The information contained in this bulletin supersedes SB No. L-SB-0074-14. ? The Part Information and Required Tools & Equipment, and On-Vehicle Data Navigation Update sections have been updated. Service Bulletin No. L-SB-0074-14 is obsolete and any printed versions should be discarded. Lexus models equipped with the HDD Navigation (EMV-N) system require a Special Service Tool (SST) USB drive to update the map, points of interest, Gracenote®, and system software. The SST is used with all vehicles to deliver the update; however, a unique activation number is required for each vehicle. Activation numbers are provided in an Activation Card Number pamphlet available through the normal parts ordering system. Use the process described in this bulletin to perform the update.

SummaryTSB: REVISION NOTICE December 6, 2019 Rev1: ? Applicability has been updated to include 2018 ? 2020 model year Lexus vehicles. ? The Parts Information section has been updated. Any previous printed versions of this bulletin should be discarded. Some 2018 ? 2020 model year Lexus vehicles equipped with the Enform? 2.0 Navigation System require a Special Service Tool (SST) USB flash drive to update the map, points of interest, and system software. The SST is used with applicable vehicles to deliver the update; however, the process for generating license keys differs from previous generations. Before attempting to perform a map update, the head unit?s expiration date must be checked. If the expiration date is still valid, a license key may be generated without the use of an activation card number. Updating the maps without the use of an activation card number is considered an Embedded Navigation Update (refer to pg. 10) and performing this process does not extend the duration of telematic map services. If the head unit?s expiration date is expired or will expire within the next 90 days, it should be recommended to the customer to purchase an activation number. Utilizing an activation number will initiate a Dynamic Navigation Update (refer to pg. 4). This Dynamic Navigation Update will perform the Embedded Navigation Update and provide telematic map services for a period of two years from the day that the Dynamic Navigation Update is performed. Activation card numbers are provided in an activation card number pamphlet available through the normal parts ordering system. Follow the process in this bulletin to perform the update.

This condition is characterized by no DTCs present and after the initial SOS light flashing sequence after ignition on, neither the red nor green light stays on in the overhead console. To determine if a vehicle is experiencing this condition, connect a Techstream and navigate to: Telematics-Data List - ?Telematics Activation Status?. If this value is displayed as ?Shipping?, continue to the recommendations below, and do not create a TAS case.
