I am writing to report a critical safety issue involving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe following the most recent Uconnect system update. After installing the update, my vehicle completely shut off while driving on the highway, putting my entire family in immediate danger. This was not a minor malfunction—our lives were at risk. After researching online and communicating with other Jeep owners, I have learned that this Uconnect-related failure is affecting multiple 2024 4xe vehicles, indicating a widespread and serious defect that must be addressed immediately. I am demanding immediate contact from a senior executive or engineer to discuss this issue, next steps for resolution, and assurance that Jeep will take full responsibility for this safety hazard. If I do not receive a prompt response, I will be escalating this matter through legal channels and reporting it to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for investigation.

My car shut down while I was driving it. There was an update that my car did which caused it to stall. And then the engine light went off. Took it to the dealer and they did some things. Oil change tire rotation and I thought the recall but maybe not. Picked it up. Drove it out and in our way home it shut down on us in the middle of the road.

I updated the uconnect software. After the Jeep ran maybe a block and wanted me to put into park then the jeep engine shuts off you put in park and restart. Engine light is on. Jeep lasts for a block and then all lights flash and goes dead again. Not drivable. Very dangerous I was on a busy road where I couldn’t pull over. Jeep should be ashamed and held accountable

My vehicle is no longer working properly after the most recent update that happened on 10/10 my vehicle experienced weird sticking/stuttering while accelerating and then fully turned off on the road while driving. It was incredibly dangerous and I’m just glad there wasn’t anyone directly behind me at the time otherwise I would have for sure been rear ended. Now it shuts off every few minutes and the check engine light is on

My vehicle did a software update Friday, October 10 10th after the update the vehicle went into a limp mode. I had to put the vehicle in park. Turn the vehicle off. Turn the vehicle back on immediately a check engine light came on. After the incident, the vehicle would only operate for about 10 minutes and I would have to repeat the same steps in order to get me safely home. Basically left me stranded with no power steering no warning that the vehicle even turned off just simply stopped in traffic in some cases and I was losing control.

Immediately following a Uconnect software update performed around 11:00 AM on October 11, 2025, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe stalled multiple times while driving on the highway. The vehicle lost power and became inoperable, creating an extremely dangerous situation. I was transporting my child at the time. Trouble Code: P1E1D. Number of Stalls: 3 total (1 on highway, 2 shortly after). The dealer confirmed they had received around 12 other Wrangler 4xe vehicles towed in the same day for the same issue, and another nearby dealer reported over 15. I have since learned through online owner forums that many other 2024 Wrangler 4xe owners are experiencing identical failures after the same software update within the last 48 hours. Jeep/Stellantis has not issued any public statement or safety notice. This is a critical safety hazard affecting many vehicles and should be treated as a potential defect related to the most recent Uconnect update.

After downloading the latest UConnect update, I turned on my Jeep and started my drive. About 500 feet later all the dash lights came on, told me to shift into drive to drive (I was) and I lost all power and steering control. I turned the Jeep off and back on and I could drive. This time I made it 1/4 mile and it shut off again, same situation in the middle of an intersection making a left turn. I was nearly hit by other vehicles and had to rely on the downhill slope to roll into the closest parking lot. The software update is bricking all 4xe jeeps that download the software update. UConnect help said they didn’t have a solution and to call Jeep Customer Support. I called them and a man answered the phone and said “we can’t help, call back on Monday” and hung up. I called my dealership and they didn’t know what was wrong with it either. I now do not have a vehicle until Tuesday at the soonest due to the holiday and the weekend.

Forcing me to stall on the freeway and almost cause crash. Look like this is wild spread issue affecting all 2024 jeep 4xe after update and I dropped my car to dealership twice today but they not able to fix it. On October 11, 2025, in the morning, shortly after installing a software update recommended by Jeep via the vehicle's infotainment screen panel, I experienced a sudden and complete loss of vehicle power while driving on the road at approximately 45 mph. This failure prevented me from controlling the vehicle, as the steering wheel locked up, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and into a ditch. I was able to restart the vehicle, and it initially appeared to operate normally. However, the same issue recurred within 60 seconds of restarting the engine, with another sudden loss of power and steering control. This defect nearly resulted in a serious collision, posing a significant risk of bodily injury to myself and other motorists on the road. No injuries occurred, but the incident could have been catastrophic at highway speeds. I believe this may be related to a software or electrical defect in the vehicle, potentially linked to the recent update. I request that NHTSA investigate this as a potential safety recall issue, as similar complaints of power loss and steering failures after software updates have been reported in Jeep models.
