On September 28, 2025 I recorded a video of the engine and engine fan whirring erratically because this would happen every time I turned the car on for several weeks and I wanted to document the noise. Then, on October 11,2025 The hybrid system failed twice in one day. The car was in Drive and shifted to Park without driver intervention and the car stopped. First I was in my driveway backing out. The second time I was driving on the highway. this occurred going 72mph in the left lane. There was a cement barricade to my left and 3 other lanes to my right. I had my car set at cruise control when all of a sudden I felt a jolt and the screen said the car was in Park. The car began slowing down. I turned the hazards on and slammed on the brakes and luckily there was no one immediately behind me to cause an accident. I slowly moved over 3 lanes to the right side where there was so cement barricade and stopped the car. It took several tries to turn the car back on and I did not feel safe even once I did. I got the car turned on, got off the next exit, and was luckily less than 1 mile from a Jeep dealership where I brought the car in. They ran the computer system and validated the incident based on an error message in the code. It took 3 days to fix the car , but even when I picked up the car that was "fixed" it makes the same loud whirring sound every time I turn the car on. Today I discovered there is a broader recall that includes my VIN number and customers will be notified in December. I am extremely concerned with the time it has taken for Jeep to inform me as I do not feel safe in my vehicle. I tried to go to a dealership to explain the concern and request a negotiation to get out of my lease but they would not discuss the matter.

My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has multiple open safety recalls with no remedy available. These recalls include fire risk when parked, battery fire risk, loss of propulsion at highway speed, and engine failure due to contamination. The manufacturer warns owners to park away from buildings and avoid charging, which means the vehicle is unsafe to drive or store. We contacted Stellantis and were told no fix exists. This is a serious safety hazard to my family and others. I have already opened a case with Stellantis (Case number #94748033) and was told there is currently no repair available.

While driving at highway speed on November 11, 2025, my 2021 Jeep Wrangler experienced a sudden and complete electrical failure without warning. A “Battery Saver Mode” message appeared, and within seconds multiple safety systems began shutting down. First Failure: While driving on the highway and exiting, the vehicle abruptly lost power steering, ABS, stability control, airbag system, exterior lighting, dashboard displays, and engine power. Multiple warning lamps illuminated at once. Steering and braking became extremely difficult, creating an immediate safety risk. I was able to coast to a stop and park. The vehicle then appeared stable and the messages cleared. Second Failure: After restarting the vehicle, the warning reappeared. While driving on a major high-traffic roadway, the vehicle experienced a total electrical shutdown in active traffic and would not restart. Third Failure: A towing service attempted to jump-start the vehicle; it briefly powered on, illuminated nearly every warning light, then immediately shut down again with the radiator fan running at full speed. The electrical system continued to collapse and the vehicle required a full tow. Inspection and Diagnosis: The dealership confirmed a complete alternator and charging system failure at approximately 36,419 miles. This failure occurred at only 4 years of age, which is unusually early for an alternator or charging system failure. The vehicle’s original battery also failed unusually early (at only 2.5 years old) without warning, which may have been an early indication of a charging system issue. The vehicle is lightly used, garage-kept, never off-roaded, and regularly maintained. The sudden loss of steering assist, braking assist, airbags, lighting, and engine power at speed and in high-traffic areas created an extreme safety risk for myself and others. This appears to be a premature electrical system failure and may relate to broader charging system concerns reported in similar vehicles.

I am reporting concerns regarding the handling of NHTSA Recall 25V-741 (Stellantis 68C) on my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. When I contacted the dealership (Jeep Only – 5255 W Sahara Ave, Las Vegas) to address the recall, the service department refused to schedule a recall-related inspection, refused to open a required STAR case with Stellantis, and told me “nothing can be done,” despite the recall involving a high-voltage battery fire risk. I was also given misleading information about the vehicle’s safety and have been unable to obtain a copy of my signed lease agreement despite multiple requests. Their refusal to follow proper recall procedures leaves me without guidance on a fire-risk safety defect, and I am currently pregnant, making this situation especially concerning. I am requesting NHTSA review of the dealership’s handling of this safety recall and lack of assistance to consumers.

I am reporting an ongoing steering/wheel wobble issue with my Jeep Wrangler. While driving at highway speeds, the vehicle suddenly begins to shake severely after hitting small bumps or uneven pavement. The wobble feels like the front end is vibrating uncontrollably, and the steering wheel oscillates left and right. I am forced to slow down significantly to regain control. This has happened multiple times, and the wobble creates a clear safety hazard because the vehicle becomes difficult to steer and maintain in the lane. The issue is unpredictable but tends to occur between approximately 45–65 mph. I have checked tire balance and suspension components, but the problem persists.

I own a 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: XXX) subject to Recall 68C for the high-voltage battery. Jeep Customer Care advised me in writing not to charge the battery and not to park the vehicle inside or near structures, but could not define a safe distance or provide any specific measurable guidance. I live in a residential community where all parking is adjacent to homes, so these instructions are impossible to follow. FCA also stated they are unable to provide a loaner or alternative accommodation, even though their written guidance effectively removes the vehicle from normal home use. Additionally, FCA repeatedly instructed me to bring the vehicle to a dealership to determine if it is “unsafe to drive,” despite confirming that no remedy exists and that dealers have no diagnostic test or inspection procedure that can detect or reduce the risk of thermal runaway associated with this recall. The dealership cannot change the risk until a remedy is available. I am requesting NHTSA review FCA’s interim guidance for clarity and adequacy, as owners cannot comply with instructions that are vague, contradictory, and not operationally feasible in residential environments. My 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4XE is under a safety recall involving a risk of fire. The recall notice instructs owners not to charge the vehicle and to park it away from structures or other vehicles. Because i live in a residential community I do not have any way to safely store the vehicle according to these instructions. My place of work is strictly prohibiting my vehicle from being on premises due to the risk of fire. The vehicle is effectively unusable. Jeep Customer service has repeatedly told me to bring it in for diagnostics, but my dealership stated that there is no diagnostic procedure available for this recall. Jeep also told me the vehicle is "safe to drive" despite the written recall warning about fire risk and parking requirements. I have been unable to get a loaner or alternate transportation and my case has not been escalated after multiple calls. I am reporting this because the safety guidance is conflicting, there is no remedy available, and i cannot safely use or store the vehicle as directed.

The Uconnect Emergency Vehicle Alert System (EVAS) nearly always causes the infotainment system's audio to cease unless the car or phone are turned off and back on. This glitch prevents other alerts and GPS from having any audio capabilities, increasing my exposure to risk and dangers (unless, of course, I only look at the infotainment screen instead of the road while driving). I have called Jeep customer care (per instructions found online) to disable this feature so that it does not create these unsafe situations. The settings I have access to do not include a way to manage the EVAS alerts, this must be done my the manufacturer (even the dealership, Lee Auto Jeep in Auburn, Maine, confirmed they do not have access/tools to do this from the manufacturer). The employee for Jeep on the phone denied knowing about this and said they confirmed there is no way to address the glitches/change settings. To force a communication alert feature, without the ability to edit settings to meet driver safety needs, and to deny any capability to address it, shows how the manufacturer is liable for any and all wrecks associated with how the EVAS disables audio and sometimes freezes the screen with the EVAS warning blocking everything--including the GPS map if someone is relying on that assistance to get to safety. I am calling on the manufacturer, through our Federal government, to rectify this risk. My dated request should not sit unaddressed until you have enough dead bodies/public pressure to act. My records (evidence of seeking a remedy through the proper channels) WILL dictate the narrative when this goes public. It is already a growing concern on online forums for not just the Jeep brand. Our map services (Google, Waze, Apple) already provide emergency alerts and give settings to empower the DRIVER BEHIND THE WHEEL to have these support, not distract and impede.

My Jeep 4xE popped a check engine light and I lost anything connected to the HV battery. The Jeep was lurching and driving strangely. The dealer said it required a new HV battery that was replaced under warranty. Just a week later the Jeep is recalled because these batteries could catch fire and I can no longer charge my vehicle or park in my garage. This means Jeep installed an HV battery that they knew was unsafe. This Jeep had a similar recall last year at the same time and received the “fix” which turns out did nothing to actually fix the issue with the HV batteries. I have lost confidence in this vehicle being safe for me and my family. This is dangerous and unacceptable!

I just left my house and i was getting on the highway and the service 4 wheel drive light came on then all a sudden the car slowed down then it accelerated really fast so i pulled over and put it in park then when i tried to continue driving i put it in drive and it would not move. The engine ran but it would not move so i had to get it towed to the dealership

While driving my vehicle on October the day after the over the air software update was pushed out I got in my vehicle and started to drive and about a half mile from my house the vehicle shut off and said to put in park. I did that and then restarted the vehicle. immediately after I did that and started to drive the check engine light came on. I had noticed earlier that people were discussing this on a Facebook group so I looked again and saw several people were having the same issue. Some said to try and soft reset the Uconnect device by have the vehicle in ACC mode and holding the power and tune button down until it resets. I did this and and after it reset i was able to drive the vehicle but the check engine light stayed on. I continued driving to the store and when I was almost home it shut off again. I then did the reset and made it back home. Once i got home I disconnected the battery and let it set for about an hour unplugged. When I plugged it back in I did another reset. The check engine light was off due to disconnecting the battery and I did not have any more issues with this.
