The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the brake and the traction control warning lights illuminated, and a message stating that the cruise control was inoperable, was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with ABS module failure; however, the part was on backorder. The contact had contacted several other repair centers, who confirmed that the part was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer's warranty department was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.

This happens every time im on traffic or reversing around obstacles going up hill. The dash also lite up saying clutch performance is limited reduce clutch use. This is still happening after the recall was completed and its May 2026 currently trying to get it fixed. I have pictures of the dash lighting up with 3 different warning about the clutch plate

ABS module failure without cause. New modules no longer being produced. Lack of anti braking system is a huge safety concern. Vehicle was looked at by a mechanic. Brake light, stability control light, and ABS light all came on at the same time at the time of failure. Vehicle was in park and turned on at the time of failure.

I am writing to formally and collectively express my growing alarm and frustration regarding the widespread failure and unavailability of the ABS control module (commonly referenced as Mopar part number 68259556XX) used in 2011–2018 Wrangler JKs. This component is a critical element of my vehicles' anti-lock braking, traction control, and electronic stability control systems—features required for safe operation and federally mandated since 2012. For over two years now, owners have documented sudden ABS module failures that result in: Complete loss of ABS and ESC functionality “Limp mode” behavior, dramatically reducing drivability Illumination of multiple brake system warning lights Vehicles becoming inoperable or unsafe to drive Failure to pass state safety inspections (in states like NY and PA) This safety-critical component has been placed on indefinite backorder, and in many cases completely discontinued, leaving no viable path for repair or replacement. Some dealerships have confirmed that new replacement modules issued in 2023–2024 were defective or failed to program properly, and were later placed on engineering hold by Jeep corporate. In the meantime, affected owners have been forced to seek out unreliable salvaged units or third-party rebuilders at their own cost and risk. Despite the clear danger posed by these failures, Stellantis has not issued a formal recall, technical service bulletin, or warranty extension for Wrangler JK owners. This inaction stands in stark contrast to: The recall of over 200,000 Grand Cherokees and Durangos (Recall ID 94B) for ABS/ESC failures in 2024 The recall of over 300,000 Ram 2500/3500 trucks for similar brake module issues in 2025 The parallels are undeniable. Jeep Wrangler JK owners are experiencing the same dangerous loss of safety systems, yet have been left without acknowledgment, recourse, or remedy. This inconsistency is unacceptable. My family cannot afford to buy another car to replace this Jeep.

NHTSA Complaint Description What Happened & Safety Risk: While driving a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe at highway speeds on Interstate 84, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic, unrecoverable loss of motive power. Without any warning, the vehicle completely seized up, shut down, and turned off entirely while moving in active traffic. This exact life-threatening failure has now occurred twice. Operating a vehicle that completely dies at highway speeds places the driver, passengers, and all surrounding traffic at an extreme risk of a high-speed rear-end collision, as the vehicle loses all ability to accelerate or safely clear the roadway. Component/System Malfunction: The failure lies within the hybrid propulsion system and electrical/software communication network (specifically relating to active Federal Recalls 25V710 for Hybrid Control Processor software shutdown and 25V766 for engine sand contamination). The vehicle is absolutely available for inspection upon request. Dealer Confirmation & Inspection: The problem is currently being evaluated. The vehicle is currently held at an authorized Stellantis dealership service department, where it was brought immediately following the most recent highway shutdown. Warning Symptoms: There were no advance warning lamps, diagnostic messages, or performance symptoms prior to the failure. The loss of propulsion and complete vehicle shutdown occurred instantaneously and without warning while traveling at highway speeds.

Complete failure of entire instrument cluster including speedometer, tachometer, odometer, and all warning indicators making vehicle unsafe to drive. Issue occurred on startup without warning. Dealership confirmed that instrument cluster is faulty. Searched and found previous recalls for this instrument cluster on similar vehicle year/make/model but my VIN was not included. Please expand recall to include other affected VINs.

My Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe has an active safety recall involving possible catastrophic engine failure, fire risk, and sudden loss of propulsion. The manufacturer recall states that sand contamination inside the engine may lead to engine failure and vehicle fire. The recall remains incomplete and the manufacturer states the repair remedy is still under development. I was informed that repair parts or a permanent repair are not currently available. This creates a serious safety concern because the vehicle may suddenly lose propulsion or experience a fire risk while driving or parked. I am concerned for my safety and the safety of my family. The vehicle is leased and I am still required to continue making payments despite the unresolved safety defect and lack of repair availabilit

Death wobble almost caused me to go head on with a semi at 57mph.. it doesn’t matter the speed either . I’ve had it to two different dealerships they replace the steering stabilizer that made it worse . They tell me it doesn’t do it when they have it .It’s been aligned 4 times replaced tires and it’s getting worse. Something needs to be done I know several people with this issue. And I know there was a recall on other years for this problem

My Jeep develops a "death wobble" whenever the vehicle goes over a bridge junction or bump at highway speeds. I have taken it to the dealer on several occasions and they have been unable to pinpoint the issue,. When my husband personally witnessed the problem and went in to complain, the dealer replaced a rear shock absorber, but the problem persists. The Jeep shakes and vibrates violently and uncontrollably and the problem has become more frequent and more violent. I have to come to an almost complete stop to relieve the wobble/vibration, which is very dangerous on a highway! It happened twice today, Saturday, May 23, 2026, on the highway when I went over bridges at 65 - 70 mph. The issues has been persistent since the vehicle reached approx. 5000 miles. I feel unsafe driving my Jeep on the highway. I know that it has been a problem that was covered under an previous agreement/recall for Jeeps through 2020. manufacturing year. However, since my Jeep is a 2023, I do not believe the extended warranty applies to my vehicle. I am a teacher and I can't afford to pay for repairs, which may run thousands of dollars. Also, I feel my vehicle is unsafe to drive on the highway, which precludes me from driving to my job on the highway. Please advise!

- #11739525May 22, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
On 4/28/26, my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited suffered a catastrophic high-voltage system failure, causing the vehicle to completely shut off at highway speeds on a live road. Stuck on the highway for nearly 3 hours at around rush hour blocking one lane of traffic. The dealership (Ourisman Jeep) diagnosed a failed 48V Hybrid Power Pack Unit (Part #68381513AA) under STAR Order #9575**. This sudden loss of power on the highway is a severe safety defect, and the manufacturer is refusing to cover the $3,327.94 repair or the resulting 3-week rental vehicle loss of use."
