Transmission does engage and slips. Eventually transmission warning light comes stating transmission is overheated. After you pull over for several minutes to let it cool down then trying to restart the car is very difficult. Pulling out into the road car is not safe. Transmission slips and will not engage making yourself a target to get hit by another car. Called Ford customer service at the advice of several service advisers because I was told that Ford had put out faulty transmissionson on the Focus and Fiesta"s. So I called Ford and I was told there is nothing Ford will do about this situation. I sent Ford a certified letter requesting for help to fix transmission, I was turned down. I called Ohio state Attorneys General Office, after communication was made Ford stated they will not repair vehicle. That the time given had passed and they will do nothing to repair thier bad transmission issue. The Attorneys Gennerals office told to file a complaint with you NHTSA.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle jerked abnormally. The contact stated that the vehicle jerked more violently while accelerating. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the purge valve failed and needed to be replaced. My car sounds like its going die when putting fuel in my car, I have to leave car running while fueling. No matter the level of fuel. If I turn on my car after fueling, it takes a few tries to get car started back. Sometimes my car shakes when taking off or speeding up. This has been going on for the last year. POWER TRAIN
My 2014 Ford Focus is having issues with the clutch and powertrain. This is the same issue that the PowerShift transmission lawsuit describes here ( http://fordtransmissionsettlement.com/ ). I had problems with this before 100,000 miles and after 100,000 miles. Currently, it needs another clutch and the total price quoted by Future Ford of Clovis, CA is $2,355. I feel it is ridiculous that Ford and their dealers are making profit off of products that they put out for sale. The Ford rep said that since the car has over 113,000 miles, that it is over the 100,000 limit and there is no assistance available. This is very frustrating and is something that I cannot afford. WHEELS
Cannot change my tires due to swollen lug nuts. Because of this my tires have not been able to be rotated and will need to be replaced because of too much wear. Several mechanics have had difficulty getting them off and on and have said that I need to purchase replacements because Ford lug nuts are notoriously bad. If I were to get a flat tire, I would be stranded.
