These concerns may be caused by faulty connections between the pickup bed, tailgate, rear lamp assemblies, or bumper where connectors are disconnected, damaged, or coated with bedliner. Prior to performing any warranty diagnosis or repairs, verify if the vehicle had an aftermarket spray-in-bedliner. Any repairs resulting from aftermarket products/installation, including but not limited to a spray-in bedliner, are not covered under warranty.

If the vehicle is going into deep sleep outside these conditions, this may be due to the telematics control unit (TCU) software. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the TCU to the latest software. For claiming, use causal part 14G229 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

If Pinpoint Test A: Brake Shift Interlock in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-05 leads to a concern with circuit SBP07 (white/red), remove the left side scuff plate from the floor and inspect circuit SBP07 for any damage. If damage is present, repair as necessary. Refer to Wiring Diagram, Cell 005. Submit a Report a Vehicle Concern form at the bottom of the OASIS screen and attach any available pictures to assist with the engineering investigation.

This may be identified as coming from the bellhousing and the front of the transmission fluid pan. The whine noise may become louder when the transmission is at operating temperature and may increase with engine revolutions per minute (RPM) in the park (P) position. A small amount of whine noise is considered to be characteristic of the 10R60/10R80/10R80 MHT/10R100 transmissions due to the offset gear drivetrain in the front support and has no effect on durability.

This may be due to a cracked oil pump drive gear. If the noise originates from the lower front of the engine, remove the accessory drive belt and retest. If the noise is still present, remove the oil pan and rotate the crankshaft 360 degrees to inspect for cracking. If cracked, replace the oil pump drive gear (LC3Z-6306-A).
