Front dash of car has severe reflection of light onto windshield. This reflection from the dashboard cowl cover interferes with driver's vision and impairs safe driving. We have created a make-do dashboard cowl cover from non-reflective felt to temporarily solve issue, but feel a recall that would install a new dashboard cowl cover is warranted.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
When purchase vehicle there was only 9,567 miles on it . I had the car for 1 year when lane changing warning and front camera went out. Also effected my car started. Dont know when it was first purchase and they say warranty is up. It could of been the end of 2024 but they say 1/2024.. Miles is under 36000 and the end of 2024 is 3year. My bill they stat is over 1500. I can afford it in this economy. And chevy should honor the bumper to bumper warranty. Im disappointed in Chevy, that there electronics go in less then 3 years. I hope that chevy for a large corporation will make this right. The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at the dealer for the front grille replacement after the vehicle had struck a turkey, the contact was informed that the moon roof was inoperable and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that water later entered the vehicle through the moon roof, soaking the spare tire and damaging the air compressor beneath the cargo space. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 31,000.

I have a 2014 Chevy Equinox 2LT - VIN [XXX] - 2.4L I4 F DOHC 16V Engine Oil Consumption Recall – my engine is consuming oil, I do not see an external engine oil leak on the ground. There is an active recall for the 2013 Chevy Equinox LT – 4 cylinder engine for the internal engine oil leak, allowing recall repair/replacement of the engine pistons and rings, I would like my vehicle included in this recall, since the same exact engine oil consumption is taking place with my vehicle. I have to add at lease 2 quarts of oil each month. My vehicle has a little over 202,000 miles on it. Please respond to my request. Two major complaints this Vechile #1 The current std operating control features are a flat out Safety Issue NO-ONE has taken into account the display of to name a few such as Fan-Speed Hi/Low, AC On/Off ,Heated Seat adjustment you cannot View while driving during daytime hours or late afternoon 1-2 hrs before dark But you can view 100% only when the Sun is directly behind you ( THEY DO NOT LITE UP UNTIL ITS NIGHT TIME & ONLY AT NIGHT) You might be laughing well zip it up ( WHY IT FORCES THE DRIVER TO TAKE THEIR EYES OFF THE ROAD) it’s not funny Gone is Std button or knob you can reach and adj .Trying do certain adjustments I find myself wandering off the highway onto Rumble strips searching for control of certain p.b. #2 This car while Traveling on [XXX] threw PA into Ohio with only 500+ miles we come up on quick stop Traffic back up ( TRYING TO QUICKLY TURN ON THE HAZARD WARNING SW —-NOT FOUND )2-days latter still have not found I should not have to be searching the I/Net or reading some now small portion of a new idea shortened version of a operators manual Basic functions we all should be able to Operate any Brand Vehicle Not this Car this [XXX] design Control Panel is a Ralph Nader example of how to Distract every driver behind the wheel. Also a lot of overall reviews many give this car great reviews But No One Takes Ease of Std Operator Functions into Account of any Safety Factor and I don’t trust you or any Government Agency will be telling GM this design of Std Control access eventually will cause many accidents . We have had nothing but issues with our Chevrolet equinox. The recall that says it is not fixed is actually fixed!! There was no fix when it malfunctioned in the middle of a rain storm and I had to drive an hour and a half very slowly to get home! So we had to have a fixed for it so we took it to motor Inn in Carroll, Iowa, and they put a new windshield wiper on! How did they expect us to go without windshield wipers when they didn’t have a fix at the time? And now we are having issues with our transmission. Our car starts to jerk and lurch forward when we’re driving. It is constantly having the check engine light come on because the engine is burning oil! And sometimes when you shut the vehicle off, it’ll try starting itself again! If you look at all the used car lots around us. It’s nothing but Chevy equinox and I’m betting it’s because people are having so many problems they’re getting rid of them.! My car is chewing through oil, about 1 quart every 500 miles. There are no leaks, I change oil regularly. It went into limp mode, to then discover the 2.4 4 cylinder Chevys and GMCs are having massive issues. It almost stranded me on the side of the road coming home from work.

STEERING, SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
My wife started noticing issues with our 2019 Equinox. We got several error mesaages: service brakes, service sylteering, enigine light and abs. I did some digging online and found similar issues with other Equinox owners. The fix is to replace the battery. We did and after leaving the shop the car won't move. It will go into differnt gears but wont move and is currently at home in our driveway.

I have had my vehicle in for repair three times for an EVAP code. The first visit they found nothing wrong. The second visit they placed the EVAP canister. The third visit they said if the light comes on again it's a faulty part. The light is on again. Since the first occurence, I have noticed the some of the same issues that were reported for the 2020 Equinox fuel pump issues, e.g. hesitation, choking,

The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Water leak flooding the rear passenger compartment floor and the rear spare tire well. The water appears to be entering at the rear pillars. On the left rear leak, it is entering the fuse panel. The right rear leaks by the power outlet. I fear this is going to cause corrosion and create problems in the future. I removed almost 2 gallons of water from the rear floor with a carpet extractor. I was able to pull a drain plug in the rear spare tire well to remove that water. The moisture in the vehicle condensates on the inside windshield, moon/sunroof and the rear back glass making it difficult to leave in an emergency without first wiping all the window down with a towel. FYI: I am the brother of the vehicle owner. She has stage 4 lung cancer and I am handling things for her.

The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while depressing the brake pedal, the brake pedal was hard while depressed, and the vehicle failed to immediately stop, causing the braking distance to become extended. During the failure the message "Brake Assist" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who replaced the brake pads and brake rotors, but the failure persisted. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 71,000.

VISIBILITY/WIPER
The dashboard reflects onto the windshield especially when it is sunny and makes it difficult to see through the windshield. The "texture" of the dashboard reflects sunlight into the windshield. We placed a black, non-reflective, cloth on the dashboard to alleviate this situation but this is not a permanent fix.
