The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V013000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 61,000.

Car would not turn over only grinning noise. Stranded in parking lot. Had to have car towed to dealer. They replaced the fuel pump. The car would not start again 2 days later. I was stranded again. I kept trying and it finally started. It stopped intraffic just died on the way home. Before help came I got it started and made it home. I had it towed to the dealer again. This time they said it is the fuel pump modular. The fuel pump cost me $1300.00 and norw the charge will be $400.00. SOME 2022 Equinox were recalled but mine was not included. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the mileage was approximately 72,170, and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was approximately 206,352.

On July 23, 2025 My Equinox quit running as I was pulling out into an intersection. After several attempts to restart with no success I called my roadside assistance provider and had the Equinox towed to a repair facility. After diagnostics on July 24, 2025 it was determined that the Fuel Pump Control Module had failed. The Module was replaced and reprogrammed. After the repair was completed it was brought to my attention that there was a recall issued on "some" 2022 Equinox 's but not all 2022 Equinox 's. My VIN was not included in the recall but suffered the same failure as the recalled units. No warning lights or symptoms prior to the failure. This continues to be a safety issue because without warning the vehicles just stop running. The Equinox had 45,939 miles on the odometer at the time of the failure. This in a know safety issue and GM should have included all 2022 Equinox 's or at least a broader range of VINs in the initial recall.

Hello, on September 5, 2025 I was driving my 2015 Chevy equinox. I was in a collision while driving my 2015 equinox going at a speed of 60 mph on a highway. On the day of the collision i hit a cargo truck that was carrying vehicles an it completely destroyed the front of my 2015 chevy equinox despite the severity of the impact. None of the airbags deployed. Fortunately me and my daughter did not sustain any injuries but I agree strongly that air bags should have deployed by the severity and location of the impact. This could have been more dangerous if someone else had been in the vehicle or if the wreck was slightly worse. My vehicle was viewed by the police at scene but no one else. There was no warning lights or messages prior to the accident. I am submitting this report because I believe the airbag system may have failed and I wanna make sure this is investigated I still have the vehicle and can provide photos and further details if needed.

I own a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox with a 1.5L engine. While driving with my children in the vehicle, the car experienced a sudden and frightening failure. The engine began malfunctioning, and after inspection, my mechanic and the repair shop confirmed damage to the vacuum pump, broken engine pieces, and issues with the timing chain and camshaft. These issues are identical to those described in an existing recall for this vehicle, but my VIN is not included. The shop even questioned why my mechanic had to replace the vacuum pump, which shows this failure is directly related to the known recall problem. This situation created a very unsafe condition while my kids were in the car. It is unfair and dangerous that my VIN is excluded when the exact same recall defects are present. I am requesting that my vehicle be included in the recall and that NHTSA investigate this defect further, as it poses a serious safety risk for me, my family, and potentially other drivers.

The contact depressed the brake pedal, and the vehicle jumped unintendedly. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact continued to drive to the residence. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the timing chain had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The independent mechanic advised the contact not to drive the vehicle. The failure became a recurring failure, and the contact parked the vehicle, and the vehicle was no longer driven due to safety concerns. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. Since May 2025, my 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV has experienced repeated electronic malfunctions with the central display and instrument cluster. The screens have frozen, flickered, and rebooted multiple times while driving. On one occasion at approximately 75 mph, the entire display and instrument panel shut down and did not return for about two minutes. The vehicle continued to respond to steering, brakes, and propulsion, but I was driving completely blind with no speedometer, warnings, or navigation. I slowed down and exited the highway to give myself space and carefully made it home. This was extremely stressful and left me concerned for my safety and my family’s safety. In another incident while stopped at a traffic light, the system froze while music was playing and the vehicle became unresponsive. It only restarted after I shifted into Park and restarted the car. The “Buckle to Drive” safety feature has also failed twice. This feature was enabled, but the vehicle allowed me to shift into Drive without the seatbelt engaged. In the most recent case, I drove for about five minutes before the reminder appeared. I have video evidence of this failure. In July 2025, the vehicle lost all connectivity (OnStar, GPS, and remote functions). This issue was eventually fixed, but I had to drive for several weeks without these features while waiting for a backordered part. The vehicle has been at the dealer since July 14, 2025. Many internal components have already been replaced, and one part is still on backorder. There were no warning lamps or error messages before the failures occurred. I am not confident that these problems have truly been resolved, because if such issues can happen with an extremely new vehicle, it raises serious concerns about what to expect from the long-term reliability and safety under warranty.

During the day a strong glair from the dash obscures the driver's ability to see out the front windshield. I have noticed this several times and on one occasion kept me from seeing a man walking on the side of the road until he was next to my front wheel. There were no indicators letting me know someone what in front of me from the vehicle. On other occasions I have had great difficulty seeing the roadway. I took the vehicle to Victory Chevrolet in Charlotte, NC, where I purchased it, and asked them if they had a solution and was told there were no known issues and they did not have a solution. They also stated that they would not be able to recreate the issue.

We just bought the car and are realizing that by removing CarPlay from the EV versions (the ICE versions have it in the same hardware) hands free texting is very problematic. Group texts com through as individual texts, voice texting back to groups doesn’t work. This is a safety issue since it will cause people to go back to looking at their phone and the lack of CarPlay is simply a money grab that comes at the expense of safety.

A go's threw gas really fast the brakes drag and when it starts/stop it acts funny like it has a hard time starting/stopping and my suspension every time I go over something there's clunking started at 34000 miles when I got it from the dealership and I only have 52,000 miles on it it shouldn't be doing that yet

THIS AUTO IS NOT DRIVEN OFTEN DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE OWNER IS OUT OF TOWN FOR WORK MORE THAN SHE IS HOME. THE CAR WAS DRIVEN ON A THREE HOUR TRIP WHEN THE SIDEWALL OF THE MICHELIN LATITUDE TOUR 225/65/R17 TIRE BLEW OUT. SHE WAS ABLE TO JUST MAKE IT OFF THE ROAD AND CHANGE THE TIRE. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION ANOTHER TIRE SHOWS SIDEWALL CRACKING THAT COVERS THE OUTSIDE SIDEWALL.

The contact stated that while the AWD feature was activated and driving up an incline, the vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal with the "Service All Wheel Drive System" message displayed.
