Wipers have stopped twice now during rainstorms. I had to pull over during heavy traffic until they started again. The recall letter I received is dated April 2022....shouldn't they have the parts to fix this issue by now ?

On a trip to the hospital in rain, the windshield wipers failed. Doing some research, I found the current open recall. Kim’s Chevrolet in Laurel, MS is refusing to check the open recall. They claim they are not able to because there’s been “no remedy”.

- #11480943August 24, 2022SEAT BELTS
When buckled, the part of the seat belt buckle where the LAP belt slides through the actual buckle part becomes binding and has to be manual pushed through the buckle in order to move your hips when seated. This issue has absolutely nothing to do with the shoulder part of the belt or the belt not retracting. It is solely an issue with the plastic buckle and the belt not sliding through it when seated. This is a safety issue because the lap belt becomes binding while seated. If the driver needs to shift in the seat, he must pull the shoulder belt out to create give in the belt and then use both hands to manually feed the belt through the buckle. This is unsafe when driving for obvious reasons if the driver is unable to use any hands on the steering wheel. If the driver doesn't continuously adjust the belt in this way, it becomes so tight across the hips that it causes discomfort and redness on the skin and abrasions if the vehicle turns wide or breaks quickly. This intense discomfort makes me avoid wearing my seatbelt which causes obvious risk or poses a risk to myself and other drivers if I need to take both hands off the wheel to adjust it while driving. The front passenger seat belt has the same issue. I began to notice this issue about 6 months ago and have taken the vehicle to a dealer/service center 3 times without any recourse other than being offered the opportunity to replace the entire seat belt system for $700 each.

We were driving home and the car was losing acceleration power. My husband would press on the pedal and there was no acceleration. the all of a sudden the car would seem to get a connection and lurch forward. Thankfully we were were close to home and there wasn't a lot of traffic as it was scary. It ended up being the O2 sensor and I did see recalls on this part for earlier model years of the same car but not for 2018. It appears the issue has not been resolved in the newer models.

We received a letter in the mail approximately April of 2022 stating there was a recall on the ball joints of the wipers. There was no parts available at the time for them to repair, The letter stated just wait. We continued to check in and there was still no fix. We were driving 2 hours away in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday August 19th when a torrential rain came down. The windshield wiper ball joint failed almost causing us to get into an accident on the interstate. We had to wait the storm out, and then made it home later on that night. I called the number on the recall sheet and GM told us that my husband's dad could fix the problem and we could be in reimbursed because he was a certified mechanic. My husband and his father who is a certified mechanic fixed the problem with a part from O'Reilly's. It's an OEM product they put in. After the part was fixed on Saturday August 20th, we called back like the agent said to get the reimbursement form. That's when the agent told us we could not be reimbursed because it wasn't done at the dealership. They have told us many different stories on how we are supposed to take care of this recall. But the dealership couldn't have fixed it anyway because there's no fix for it in place. I'm not working due to health issues and I go to many doctors appointments so I have to have a working vehicle with working windshield wipers. So in case it were to rain I wouldn't get into a horrible car accident like we almost did on Friday. I just want to be reimbursed for the recall that they still do not have a fix for. How are people supposed to drive around in vehicles that could have faulty windshield wipers, possibly causing accidents and even death?.

the camshaft actuators continue creating difficultdriving conditions. The POO11 and POO13 Codes continually show Faulty even after replacement. the Vehicle {2012 Chevrolet Equinox} Lurches and Bucks, creating difficulty for the safe operations of this vehicle. This creates Adverse reactions from other motorists by just acting up ,even after repairs. This is my 3rd time replacing these components to no avail. The OBD does kick out the engine light, but its Definately Manufacturer POOR DESIGNing. This problem while driving in traffic is Concerning. Is there any remedy? I was heading north on US23 in northern Michigan when I was in a rainstorm, traffic was going about 30mph due to how hard the rain was coming down and I had my windshield wipers on full blast when they suddenly stopped working and sat there in the middle of my windshield. I had to cut across 2 lanes of highway traffic with very little visibility to pull over on the shoulder of the highway to figure out my windshield wipers and let the storm pass. I found out there is a recall on the wiper windshield motor, however Chevrolet does not have parts to fix the issue until December at the earliest. They do not have a temporary fix. They do not offer rental cars. Basically Chevrolet is forcing customers to fix this issue out of pocket at their expense and when I reached out for reimbursement, they told me that is not a possible solution.

the timing chain went bad and had to be replaced before the break pads. Chevrolet wanted twice as much to repair as my mechanic did, and he used OEM parts and he replaced a few other things that *might* go out, since the entire engine had to be removed.

- #11479774August 17, 2022AIR BAGS, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
I was in a vehicle accident the 4th of August. After the accident I noticed the airbag light on. I check the passenger seat belt and it wouldn't budge, but the air bags never deployed from the accident. About a month ago I had an issue with the car. I was driving down the road and I took a sharp left turn and the car acted like it was starving for gas. It was on a full tank and I was stranded for a few hrs until the car cooled down to where it was operational.
