The contact owns a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that the turbo was making an abnormal loud mechanical grinding sound. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken three times to the local dealer and the contact was informed that the vehicle was working as designed. Additionally, the contact was informed that the wastegate turbo had a lot of play and the wind was causing the abnormal sound. The vehicle was not repaired. I've owned my car for 3 weeks and have driven it ~10 times in total. On 2 different occasions (most recently yesterday), it has stalled out while standing in traffic. On both occasions, it was a "soft stall" just as a vehicle with auto on/off would have. I had no warning lights, and wasn't even aware that the car had stalled until I put it in gear and began to let the clutch out, at which point I discovered that the engine was off.

There was a legal settlement between the US and VW in 2016. This settlement provided mandates upon the company to perform repairs and give warranty to owners of VW vehicles, so the vehicles are in a safe and emissions responsible manner. This settlement info can be seen at www.vw.courtsettlement.com The main part that applies to our situation is: We purchased a 2013 VW Jetta TDI on 12/30/20 with 179,109 miles. Prior to that, it had the Emissions Modification done to it. We purchased vehicle from the original owner, and we are the 2nd owner, per VIN report Our purchase was the 1st resale transaction done after the modification completed We purchased the vehicle in good faith and for purposes other than resale We purchased the vehicle due to the warranty. The vehicle currently should have a 4 year 48,000 mile court ordered warranty starting 12/30/20 and at 179,109 miles. If followed by court order, this warranty is good until 12/30/24 or 227,109 miles. Since this vehicle was purchased 6 months 14,000 miles into warranty, it still has 34,000 miles or good until 12/30/2024. VW has refused to honor there court ordered warranty. This potentially is putting a vehicle that is in need of safety repairs at risk of a danger on roadway by not honoring warranty. Term of agreement at www.vwcourtsettlement.com Not only are they not fulfilling there obligations as they should under the terms of settlement, they are egregiously allowing vehicles to be driven around with clogged filters emitting more pollution that they should, when they have since agreed to fix them as they were rigged unlawfully to settle the VW corporate violations within the US They should immediately honor this warranty with this VW owner and recompense me for warranty related expenses they incurred of approx $750. Car was placed in park but key would not turn to off position and therefore would not come out of the ignition nor turn the car off. Inability to turn car off causing increased carbon dioxide released and higher change of fire occurring especially in poorly vented areas such as garage. This occurred right after an inspection and there were no warning or messages before or after this issue.

SUSPENSION
I own a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta SE TSI And the rear coil spring on my drivers side snapped into 3 pieces. I was just on the highway and was coming through torrential downpour in the middle of Rhode Island. I was lucky enough to just have pulled in my drive way and put the car into park when a loud bang occured and my car dropped on the driver side a few inches. there were zero warning signs or indicator lights. The car just drooped. could have been a disaster had it happed in the downpour on my way home.

I had hit snd run By this car. IT looks like that Driver had attention to hurt me Moving in same line, I Made him space behind me than he hit on back, I was tih king tha he/she was trying to escape he moved again in right line but he again started to move in left side where I was driving. I hit part of shoulder and there is a damege on my car from the back side and both left side how he/she hit me and right side how I hit on shoulder. Than he/she was trying to run as crazy trought crowd but my car got only body damages and I was able to run after him/her and wrote down License plate. I am a Remitter agent, I was able to find only lien holder for this car but not yet the assigned owner. Hopfully I can get same help from you. Thanks.

ENGINE
2015 VW Jetta, 1.8L turbo engine. While interstate driving, the engine abruptly failed, running very roughly, causing a severe loss of power. This was in the hills of Tennessee at 65mph, and the sudden loss of power made us a traffic hazard and put all our lives in severe danger, being forced to travel under 40mph to reach safety. There were no warning lights prior, and the car had just had an oil change and inspection. After the loss of power, we had warning lights all over the dashboard. The Traction Control, ECM, and a flashing Check Engine were the ones I can recall. After reaching a safe place with cell service, the car was towed to a VW dealership in the next major city. Technicians there diagnosed it with an exhaust valve failure, which in turn shattered the spark plug. This was verified by CNA National, an extended warranty company.

When I try to start the car it was giving me a hard time to turn the key in the ignition then when I got it to start I was coming home and I park the car try to stop the car and take the key out the ignition it won't cut off and the key stuck in the ignition while the car still on it wouldn't let me stop or cut off the car and the key wouldn't come out of the ignition

The contact owns a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that her husband was driving at an undisclosed speed, when the ABS, traction control, brakes and air bags warning lights were illuminated. The dealer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that she needed to pay for the diagnostic test. The VIN was not included in a recall. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle with codes 16352, 01130 and related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 16V913000 (Service brakes, Hydraulic, Electronic stability control). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall however, if there was a recall later that included the VIN, the contact might be eligible for reimbursement. The failure mileage was 181,000.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
My car would randomly stall while driving, happens both when braking and not braking. When it stalls steering wheel locks up, cannot press gas pedal, and brakes stop working almost. This is incredibly dangerous because while on a road at 50mph+ and my car suddenly stops it can cause a serious accident. The dealer has been able to reproduce it multiple times, and has said it is a common problem. The only warning light that switched on was the battery light after it had stalled. Currently at the VW dealership and was told that it was the fuel filter, was not the problem and car continued to stall more. Not only was a good part replaced but created an even more dangerous situation than before.
