FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Car cut off twice while driving and could not be restarted for 14 - 25 minutes. This happened while driving. I took it to both an independent mechanic and a vw dealer, bit they were unable to diagnose the issue. Also, after being driven, intermittently the car will not start for 15 - 25 min. Other drivers are also having this issue. ENGINE, POWER TRAIN, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
This engine or transmission is acting odd it boggs down for no reason and I know for a fact there should be a recall from the wiring harness back in 2011. I accidentally clicked it was fixed when I pushed the wrong button and it wouldnt let me undue it. Stalls white smoke out the tail pipes in gusts. Foul smell in vents

SUSPENSION, ENGINE
The transmissions are bad on these cars and when it's shifting gears it jerks and almost takes you off the road. I've had my car completely stop as I was driving and almost cause a wreck hurting myself in the process of not trying to kill someone walking because these cars are KNOWN TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM THERE WAS AN ENTIRE LAWSUIT AGAINST VOLKSWAGEN AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. Please help if there is a recall done I can get the car fixed and continue working as an in-home caregiver. I am currently out of work because IT IS NOT SAFE TO TRANSPORT CLIENTS IN THAT DEATH TRAP. The mechanic said the entire transmission is built to brake and it's not a new problem these cars are bad.

AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:DRIVER CLOCKSPRING/SPIRAL CASSETTE
The contact owns a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 MPH and depressing on the horn, the horn failed to make a sound. The contact stated that the air bag, ABS, and Electronic Steering Control (ESC) warning lights were illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the clockspring needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the horn to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I was driving my car down at residential area and it came to a complete stop on its own I could not get it to accelerate it all I had to get out of my car pop the hood disconnect the battery and then I was able to put in a drive and accelerate all the lights are flashing on the control panel I had no control over my car whatsoever I took it into Tracy Volkswagen and they said they couldn't diagnose it because it wasn't connecting to my computer in my car. Tracy said the control module for the ABS didn't work and they couldn't replace it for me until the headquarters approved it or something about the recall didn't include the control module I can't afford to fix this it's all ABS connected that's what the safety call is for safety.

Vehicle has only 10,000 miles. Developed unidentified leak. Shortly after the car was on the freeway in 6th gear and started smoking and revving the engine. Car would not shift into gear and the car stalled. Clutch, flywheel, throwout bearing, and pressure plate were completely destroyed. Towed to dealership.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Electronic Power Control (EPC) issue: The car unit bogs down the acceleration and limits the RPMs, making it dangerous to drive on high way or even local road. The issue pops up spontaneously but went away after car was OFF for hour and restarted. Engine runs ruff and shacks along with laud banging sounds from under car. Suspect sensors, other messages seem to be out of place, such as "turn lights on" in morning when driving directly into sun light or the large red accident display with nothing around at all, different locations. Scan taken of car by dealer, nothing to explain why, however 2 plugs were somewhat dirty & will be replaced, only 1800 miles on car. Other errors on display, the yellow Front Assist which switched between that and the ECP, to far left under the temperature a yellow triangle priority symbol (some what red) These all came on at time of fault. Speed varied from 20 to 30 even when pushing pedal to bottom.

I AM A AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN AT AVIS BUDGET. I ORDERED A NEW FUEL TANK FOR THE SAME MODEL AND YEAR CAR. I GOT TOLD BY THE DEALER , TO INSTALL THE NEW TANK "WITHOUT HEATSHIELD" WHERE THE EXHAUST WRAPPES AROUND THE PLASTIC TANK. THE VIN I REPORTED=WE SEND TO THE DEALER FOR SAME REPAIR. I TOOK PICTURE, SEALER DID NOT INSTALL "A HEATSHIELD" TO PROTECT TANK FROM EXHAUST HEAT. ON A 2021 MODEL "VW IS USING THIS NEW TANK" BUT WITH HEATSHIELD." I AM FORCED NOW, TO INSTALL THE NEW TANK WITHOUT HEATSHIELD ! I DONT WANT TO BE RESPOSIBLE, IF THE CAR KILLS SOMEONE. SAME DEALER PERFORMED PRIOR REPAIRS, WHERE ONE CAR COUGHT FIRE, BECAUSE DEALER DID NOT INSTALL A HEAT WRAPP ON A REPLACED OIL CONTROL FLOW VALVE, IN BACK OF ENGINE. PLEASE ADVISE !!!

The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed and determined that the clock spring needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the clock spring for the vehicle was on national back order. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The forward collision system does not work. When the system is activated it does not work. I bought the car new in April 2022.I activate the system all the time while driving. To this day the system has never warned me [NO DASH LIGHT OR AUDIBLE SOUND WARNING ME TO BRAKE]

Many fault lamps lite up on panel. List: Brake light, Adaptive cruise control, ASC, Power steering lamp, Seat belt lamp and sometimes the seat belt alarm goes off when seat belt is clicked IN!,ABS,Air bag lamp is intermittent,EPC lamp is intermittent. Problems have been confirmed by: Independent auto repair center and Vista VW of Pompano Beach, FL. As far as safety sometimes the engine goes into limp mode during driving a few minutes after starting. Having to pull over quickly to get out of the flow of traffic. To stop the engine after a few minutes it does restart.

I have had to replace two manual transmission clutches. The first was at 19,261 miles. The second was at 50,358 miles. Both times the engine excessively revved up while driving without shifting and there was a putrid and foul smell of burning rubber along with smoke. VW repair shop isn't taking ownership of a defective transmission, defective clutch, or defective material. I had to have the vehicle towed both times because the vehicle was not safe to drive.

POWER TRAIN
2015 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid, 73,000 miles mechatronic transmission failure. Vehicle repeatedly experiences loss of power/stalling and low and highway speeds. Losing power at any speed, specially highway speeds is a SAFETY issue. VW service shop has diagnosed issue as mechatronic transmission failure, hairline cracks, loss of fluid and gear damage sustained in transmission. VW service acknowledged the transmission damage is the same as ongoing recall. Transmission will need to be replaced. VW service shop advised vehicle VIN is not covered under current NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V866000 (Power Train). VW service advised VW will have to include this vehicle/issue under a recall for them to fix it without cost to me. Safety issues, symptoms, and diagnosis is succinct to that documented in 19V866000. VW customer service was contacted and advised that due to the vehicle VIN not included in current NHTSA campaign, it is not covered. VW is dodging responsibility in fixing this prevalent safety failure in Jetta Hybrids which makes the vehicle a safety hazard and worthless when considering the $10,000 repair estimate. They must me held accountable!!

ENGINE
My EPC light has been coming on and off for months now. We've had it in to multiple mechanics. All of them replacing different components. The light goes off and we drive it for a few days. Then it comes on randomly and we lose power to the vehicle and have to quickly pull off the road. This has happened TWICE while on the expressway in BUSY traffic with my children in the back. And its happened countless times on county roads and side roads. We've had the Accelerator Peddle replaced, the Throttle Body, new Spark Plugs..... the list goes on. I decided to do some digging online and found a MASSIVE forum of VW, Audi owners with this same exact problem. And they are ALL explaining the dangers. I am shocked this isn't on a Recall List. As I was driving, all gauges went black. The vehicle continued to run until I came to a complete stop then the engine stopped. It would start for a few minutes. When it did it would shut down when I put it in gear. After letting it cool down, it started and I was able to get home. It still happens. Sometimes the lights will work when it happens other time they won't. I got it diagnosed and the could find any thing wrong. The check starter system warning comes on as well as ignition switch warning. It seems to happen during hot days.

POWER TRAIN
Was driving about 25-30mph when we heard a pop sound and the car started to become very hard to control. Everytime I would press the brakes the car would become even harder to control. I tried to turn into a driveway to see what happened and the car jerked and caused us to go into a deep ditch. The front passenger tire hit a concrete water drain and the car stopped abruptly. Impact caused the rim to completely break in half and also snapped the front axel in half. The tow truck driver informed us that the drivers rear axle trailing arm was broke in half and he had never seen anything like that before. That night we learned of the recall for that exact part. Over the weekend I've had a chance to go out and look a little better under the rear of the car and it appears to have the steel inlay piece that was supposed to fix the recalled part. The welding is terrible and most of it is rusty so it's been broken for a while it seems. I pulled a car fax on the vehicle and it has went in several times for maintenance at various car dealerships but it doesn't seem that anyone put the fix in the system for it. It has definitely been repaired but nothing shows that. We are waiting on insurance to look at the car. It is available as of right now to be seen. No warning lamps were on in the car. This accident could have resulted in major injuries or even death if they wouldn't have hit the ditch. I have a ton of pictures if you need more. The police did come but didn't file a report because it was a 1 car accident.
