On 2/14/26 my car decelerated on the interstate. No warning lights came on. I parked the car and had it towed the next day to the dealership. Several days later they told me I needed a new engine, and then later told me that Nissan would not replace the engine but told them I need the EGR Cooling System replaced and that would resolve my problem. 3 weeks later I picked up my car ($3722) and immediately upon driving it off the lot the car started smoking. Once home, it decelerated again prompting another tow back to the dealership on the same day I picked it up. During that time, dashboard and engine lights came on. 3 days later I received a phone call from the dealership stating I need a new EGR sensor which should have been done the first time but was not (by a less experienced mechanic), for free, and the part would be in tomorrow 3/12/26. He also stated that now the car is running extremely rough and knocking (which I told him has not been our experience at all and I did not know what he was talking about). He then went on to say it needs motor mounts now. That was 2 weeks ago. Since then I have called multiple times to get status updates on my car and no one will return my call. My car has now been there for 40 days as of today. I have been given a 120,000 mile warranty extension on my engine per Nissan, but Nissan refuses to fix it and my car is not listed as part of the new recall, which I do not understand at all. Nissan needs to replace my engine as first diagnosed but reneged on.

I was going about 30 mph and slowing to turn into my driveway, when my rear window exploded, I thought someone shot it out. I went to dealership and they said it's not covered by my warranty and that they have heard of this happening. So Nissan knows this is a problem yet they refuse to recall it. I've had the car 1 month, I purchased it on February 23, 2026 and this occurred on March 24, 2026. I'm also aware that there is a class action suit against them for this problem, they are trying to say it's wear and tear.

After a routine oil change, the check engine light came on and would not go off. Soon after the idling warning came on, blinking and indicating a system malfunction. The vehicle has been inspected by the Nissan dealership in my area and the piston has been damaged in the engine. This has put my family and myself at risk of having possible engine failure and possible car accident.

The sliding portion of the panoramic sunroof spontaneously shattered with an explosive sound and force without provocation or impact damage occurring. We were driving at 5-10 MPH through our apartment complex, but it would have been more dangerous had we been driving at a higher rate of speed on a street or highway. My husband suffered some light scratches on his left arm, but no other injuries thank goodness. We immediately drove the vehicle to Pinnacle Nissan, but they denied assistance and coverage as well as Nissan Consumer Affairs. Repair is pending through auto insurance through 3rd party vendor Blue Chip glass, so it won't be available for inspection after this week once repaired, but I have photos.

The contact owned a 2026 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that after arriving at her job and safely exiting the vehicle, white smoke was noticed by her manager on duty coming from under the hood. In addition, prior to the failure, the contact stated that while stopped at a red light, the vehicle had hesitated to maintain automotive after independently jolting forward. No warning lights illuminated. The local fire department arrived on screen to extinguish the fire. The source of the fire was deemed an engine compartment fire. A Police report was filed. A Fire Department report was filed. No injuries were sustained, and no medical attention was sought. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard, where it was later taken by the insurance provider and deemed a total loss. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Driver Seat moves forward when brakes are applied - yes the seat and vehicle can be available anytime for inspection. When ever the brakes are applied the driver seat moves towards the steering wheel and windshield. I am concerned the seat will fail altogether and slam me into the windshield and steering wheel. It is not locked into place or something else is failing. Jeff Wyler Dealership in Fairfield Ohio provide an estimate of $2400 to replace the railings. I see this issue is occurring with other 2020 Rogues according to the internet. There is a recall for the 2021, 2022 and 2023 models for the issue. No lights or warnings on now or prior. We bought the vehcile used from a dealer in Nov 2025 and this occurred shortly thereafter. It is possible the dealer know about this issue and did not to fix or divulge to customer.

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH in Canada, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact exited the highway and pulled over to the side of the road. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact inspected the engine compartment but could not find a failure. The vehicle was restarted but failed to exceed 25-30 MPH while driving. The vehicle was taken to a Canadian dealer, where an oil change, a turbocharger hose, and other unknown repairs were performed. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine and Cooling), which the contact associated with the failure. The vehicle was taken to Steven Nissan (2275 E Market St, Harrisonburg, VA 22801); where the recall repair was completed. Additionally, the contact filed a reimbursement claim with the manufacturer for previous repairs and provided the supporting documents; however, the reimbursement claim was denied. The failure mileage was approximately 64,280.

While driving on the highway, when I attempted to break the car did not stop. The warning lights came on and the vehicle hesitated but still would not stop. I then had to swerve the best I could to the right, but my car still hit the corner of the car in front. This is the third incident with the ABS, but the only one resulting in an accident. The dashboard reads system malfunction. The vehicle is currently in possession of the insurance company.

CVT has failed....Drive goes forward reverse goes forward neutral goes forward always gives see drivers warning call maintenance and check manual ... transmission is burning so high the transmission fluid is evaporating.... I've called so many times to have fixed but when it has a warranty they wanted $115 times 3 because of three components in the tranny needed to be checked and I couldn't pay that so now it's a giant paperweight that is used fir storage that I pay 412.32 a month for that cannot be driven....it sputters shakes stutters jerks and slams something gear but will not go up any hill ...I believe that the transmission should have been recalled in this model as well ..

ON CHRISTMAS DAY 2025 AROUND NOON MY 2024 NISSAN ROGUE WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE AS ALWAYS. GARAGE TEMPERATURE WAS ABOUT 45 F. I OPENED THE REAR HATCH AND HEARD A CRACKLING SOUND. WHEN I CLOSED THE HATCH THE GLASS EXPLODED INTO A MILLION PIECES. CLEARLY THERE MUST HAVE BEEN A MANUFACTURER DEFECT IN THE GLASS FOR THIS TO OCCUR. CONTACTED DEALER, THEY TOLD ME THAT THIS IS NOT A RECALL ISSUE NOR IS IT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER, AFTER CHECKING WITH SOME OFF-SITE AUTHORITY, THEY SAID THAT SINCE THE CAR WAS SO NEW THAT NISSAN WOULD MAKE AN EXCEPTION AND PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE GLASS. LATER THEY SAID THAT SINCE IT HAD MORE THAN 36,000 MILES THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR IT AFTER ALL. HOWEVER THEY DID SAY THAT THEY WOULD "SPLIT THE COST" WITH ME. I ASKED HOW MUCH MY SHARE OF THAT COST WOULD BE, AND WAS TOLD $480. THIS WAS THE EXACT PRICE QUOTED BY SAFECO TO COME TO MY HOUSE AND REPAIR IT ON THE SPOT. THIS A VERY COMMON ISSUE IN THE 2021-2024 NISSAN ROGUES. THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST NISSAN ABOUT THIS ISSUE. AT LEAST IN MY SITUATION I WAS PARKED WHEN IT EXPLODED BUT HAD I BEEN DRIVING THAT GLASS FLYING COULD HAVE BEEN A MUCH WORSE SITUATION. I JUST WANT NISSAN TO OWN UP TO THIS AND COVER THE REPAIR. I ALSO WANT TO MAKE OTHERS AWARE OF THIS KNOWN PROBLEM.

Hello, I am writing to report a sudden rear windshield failure on my 2025 Nissan Rogue. On March 20, 2026, the rear windshield shattered without any impact or external cause. I am aware of ongoing reports and a recently filed class action lawsuit alleging rear windshield defects in 2021–2025 Nissan Rogues. Based on the circumstances, I believe my vehicle experienced the same defect. I have video and photographic documentation available upon request. Due to immediate safety concerns and inability to operate the vehicle, I had the windshield replaced on March 21, 2026, by Windshields R Us at a cost of $337.04. Given the known safety concerns and reported defect, I am requesting reimbursement and documentation of this incident under Nissan’s defect review process. Please provide a case number and advise on next steps. Thank you, [XXX] and [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] 2025 Nissan Rogue VIN: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The vehicle is exhibiting abnormal engine noise consistent with Recall 26V080 (Engine Bearings). There is a high pitched/white noise sound that consistently increases as the car's speed increases. I have turned off the speaker sound item, and all electronics and it is still there. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The abnormal noise indicates an imminent engine bearing service (Recall 26V080), which causes a total loss of motive power and fire risk. This makes the vehicle unpredictable and unsafe to operate in traffic, especially given the documented hesitation during restarts." Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No, I have an appt. on 3/24/2026 at 7:30 a.m. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The transmission malfunctioned when I shifted from reverse to drive. It took extra effort to put it into drive from reverse, and when it finally shifted/clunked into place it made a loud sound, literally jerking the car. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Not, yet. I have an appt at 7:30 a.m. on 3/24 with Pinnacle Nissan repair, but they are not aware of this issue yet. I will add it this morning, 3/23/2026. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No

**Timeline Summary – Vehicle Safety Recall Case** **Owner:**XX **Vehicle:** 2022 Nissan Rogue (VIN: [XXX] ) **Dealer:** Pine Belt Nissan of Keyport **Recall:** NHTSA 25V-437 (engine bearing defect) **August 2025:** Owner received recall notice describing a potential engine bearing defect that could lead to engine damage, sudden power loss, or fire. Nissan indicated remedy was not yet available. **December 2025:** Nissan notified owner that remedy was available. Repair protocol included ECM reprogramming, diagnostic drive cycle, and DTC scan, with engine replacement if faults were detected. **December 3, 2025:** Vehicle serviced at Pine Belt Nissan. ECM reprogrammed (campaign XXX), diagnostic testing completed, and no DTCs found. Vehicle returned to owner. **Mid-January 2026:** Engine suddenly failed during normal driving, resulting in complete loss of power. Vehicle became inoperable and was returned to dealer. **January 16, 2026:** Dealer diagnosed catastrophic engine failure: “engine ran without oil… knocking… needs long block, turbo, and Bank 1 catalytic converter.” Estimated repair cost exceeded $10,000. Owner declined repairs. Oil, filter, and drain plug washer were replaced during this visit. **Current Status:** Vehicle remains inoperable. Failure occurred shortly after recall repair and appears consistent with the defect described in Recall 25V-437. **Key Issue:** Catastrophic engine failure occurred soon after completion of the recall remedy, raising concern that the repair did not adequately identify or prevent the defect.
