Vehicle Safety Complaint – Fuel Leak I am reporting a serious safety issue with my vehicle. Vehicle: Nissan Rogue 2021 There is a fuel leak from underneath the fuel tank area, and a strong gasoline odor inside the cabin. The smell is noticeable while driving and when the vehicle is parked. This creates a fire and explosion hazard, and I believe the vehicle is unsafe to operate. The manufacturer/dealer informed me that the warranty has expired and refused to cover the repair. No accident occurred, but the fuel leak is ongoing and presents an immediate safety risk. I am requesting that this issue be reviewed as a potential safety defect.

My wife [XXX] ) was traveling in her 2024 Nissan Rouge at highway speed on her way to work on 1/5/26, in Southeast Alabama, no defroster on, or other car in sight. While traveling her rear windshield randomly busted into a thousand pieces. She immediately notified myself [XXX] ) and the local Sheriffs Office, first believing someone had shot at her car. After deputies arrived and a thorough investigation, revealed that fortunately no one had shot at the car. That it appeared to be a random flaw/defect with the back glass windshield. They also noted that that a similar incident occurred last week mid morning, with a gentleman in a same make and model rouge, as he was traveling, busted without warning. I attempted to call dealership, but they send unbothered and informed me nothing could be done due to no active recall. Upon my own investigation today, I have noted and located many instances of the same occurring in similar models, and even some class actions suits potentially in the works. Please review this with the correct persons and hopefully find some safe resolve. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

At about 9:40 a.m. on January 5, 2026, the rear window shattered. The incident occurred on I-26 northbound, about 10 miles North of Charleston, SC. Temperature was about 50 degrees. No road hazard. No throw rock or road debris. And we were not near any overpass. Just a loud bang and the window failed. Two holes were created and the rest of the window was completely crazed. No foreign object was found inside the car, only fragments of broken glass. Our safety was never at risk. I maintained speed and pulled into the first rest area to check the damage.

- #11708915January 5, 2026ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving 60-70 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that while driving in the mountains, the message "Engine Malfunction-Losing Power" was displayed, and the vehicle failed to accelerate upon depression of the accelerator pedal. The contact pulled over to the side of the road. The contact stated that upon restarting the vehicle, the vehicle shuddered significantly. The contact turned off the vehicle due to safety concerns. The contact and her four family members, who were also occupying the vehicle were picked up by the contact's sister. A tow truck picked up the vehicle 12 hours later. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the thermostat was replaced. The contact stated that the check engine warning light illuminated while driving on the freeway 3-4 days later. The contact advised the dealer that the failure could be related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the dealer informed the contact that the failure was not related to the recall, and the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the fuel pump had failed and the dealer replaced the fuel pump two weeks later. The contact stated that upon picking up the vehicle and driving to the residence, the vehicle shuddered. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the engine and transmission mounts were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that oil was leaking into the inner cooler, and the oil leak was most likely from the turbo. The dealer replaced the inner cooler, the turbo, and the fuel injectors. The manufacturer covered the repair; however, the failure persisted, and the message "Engine Malfunction-Losing Power" was displayed. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair of NHTSA Campaign Num

The rear window on my 2025 Nissan rogue shattered. There was no reason for this to happen I had driven it in the morning and it was fine I went out an hour later and it was shattered. There was a slight temperature fluctuation that day in Plano Texas December 30th 2025. Upon researching this I found out that this had happened to other people in the same make and model.

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, there was an abnormal clanking sound coming from the engine. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact proceeded to drive the vehicle; however, the vehicle failed to properly accelerate while driving 60 MPH and attempting to accelerate. The contact stated that the vehicle started to decelerate, and the contact pulled off to the shoulder of the highway. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to a dealer. A diagnostic test was performed on the vehicle, and metal shavings were found inside the oil pan. The vehicle was diagnosed with engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine long block and turbo needed to be replaced. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact reached out to the manufacturer, and it was confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle remained with the dealer unrepaired. The failure mileage was 76,000.

On Friday 01/02/2026 in my driveway, when closing my driver side front door of my 2026 Nissan Rogue purchased in mid-December, I suddenly heard a loud pop followed by crashing like breaking glass sound. I look around and the back rear windshield had a huge hole in the center with glass falling into the car trunk. I contacted my dealership and there were no active recalls, but searching online did fine other drivers reporting this issue on social media. I plan to have the dealership inspect the damage this week and see if it is related to other active recalls for other models.

UNKNOWN There are two issues. First one: After using the defrost, the rear window will shatter after the air pressure is change, opening the driver's side door to get in,the back glass shattered it. Second one: The technician informed me that on the nissian rogue, there is a gap in the back door panel that glass falls into making it nonexistent to retrieve all the glass, complicating the locking mechanism. I can hear pieces inside that door when opening it.

As I was driving down the road, I heard a loud noise and the back windshield spontaneously cracked into tiny little pieces all throughout the entire back windshield. I parked and when I closed my door chunks of the back windshield fell off as well.

- #11708281January 2, 2026UNKNOWN OR OTHER, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Feb.29,2024 I had a warning light come on that said "Forward driving aids temporarily disabled front sensor blocked" when this message appears my cruise control is disabled. I contacted my dealer they had me bring it in, they said they fixed it. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs because the warning light was still coming on. They told me that it doesn't affect the performance of my vehicle & doesn't cause a safety issue. The light is still coming on.

Blinking lights on dashboard, notified Nissan, they stated they knew of recall, but didn't know how to resolve yet, engineers were working on the issue, they stated when it breaks down just bring it in. Car engine light blinks, all warning lights blink, car stops immediately while pulling into to drive way. Lights appeared 1 day ago, then drove ok. Started car this morning to go to work, 4 miles away pulled in and car started blinking all emergency lights, Quickly called Nissan they were closed to due to holiday. Emergency lites are check engine light, FEB light, MASTER warning light, AEB lights , Malfunction Indicator light (MIL). RAB light, the start button contents blink when all theses lights are blinking. The fact that Nissan told me to wait till it breaks down, or they would call me to fix recall when they know how is irresponsible .
