IN THE WEBSITE IT SHOWS THAT THERE WAS A SAFETY RECALL FOR THE DOOR LOCK BUT WHEN I ENTERED MY VIN#IT DOESN'T SHOW OUTSTANDING RECALLS. I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S BECAUSE IT WAS PREVIOUSLY CORRECTED BUT THE PASSENGER DOOR ISN'T OPENING NEITHER FROM THE INSIDE NOR THE OUTSIDE.

SEAT BELTS
I received notice late April from Nissan about this recall. I promptly scheduled an appointment to bring my vehicle in for repair. I was told parts were back ordered and would arrive early June. I have contacted the dealership (Vision Nissan of Greece, NY) and Nissan HQ to inquire and was told parts were on back order. I asked when parts would be available and was given no time estimate. I have to drive my vehicle from New York State to Texas for a move (over 2,000 miles) starting June 25 and I have serious concerns for my and my family's safety in the vehicle due to the recall. I would appreciate any assistance possible in getting this resolved. Thank you.

We keep our car in an enclosed garage and when parking in the garage there is a large build up of gas/exhaust smell. The smell is sickening and enters the house whenever we open the entry door. We bought the car in September 2022 and brought it to the dealership in January 2023 where they verified the problem but didn’t have any solution. We received a letter from Nissan (NT/23-025) acknowledging the problem. The did nothing nor communicated we us so we brought it back in on January 2024 and they ordered parts and serviced on Feb 21/24. Back in to dealership on Mar 4,2024; April 3, 2024; April 5, 2024. Then May 8, 2024 Nissan engineers investigated and replaced another part. Still have odor problem.

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH, the vehicle was sputtering and jerking. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to drive to his destination, where the vehicle was parked and turned off. The contact stated that upon attempting to restart the vehicle half an hour later, the vehicle failed to restart. The contact stated that the vehicle was able to restart after several attempts; however, there was smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe and the engine was overheating. The vehicle was driven to the dealer at slow speeds. The dealer diagnosed that the head gasket had failed, causing engine damage. The dealer determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was being repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 38,962.

The AC does not work intermittently. When the AC is on, it will blow cold air and then all of a sudden, warm air comes out. Then it may work again and then it will blow warm air. This is a safety concern in Texas when the temperature is very hot outside. This has happened ever since I bought the car in 2015.

I was backing out of my parking spot at work and backed into a car. My backup safety sensor’s did not work. No warning I was near anything. It should have stopped me from hitting anything especially another car. The backup camera has had times of not working.

I don't see a recall outstanding for the catalytic converter system but it says in 2020 there was a recall. My catalytic converter has gone bad. Makes we wonder if the work was ever really done? It should not go bad after on 4 years.

The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, she became aware that the front passenger's seat light was on. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the passenger's seat needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V716000 (Seats); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure; however, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.

POWER TRAIN, ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
This event has happen 5 times in the last 8 months. While driving (under 30 miles per hr.) car suddenly seems to disengage from the engine . I no longer have acceleration and the engines RPMs increase while stepping on the gas. Stepping off the gas petal will lower the RPMs but the car slows down and eventually will stop. If I brake and reset the car in Drive, will reset and begin to accelerate. Bad thing is there is not engine warning lights or indication of when this will happen. Each episode has been when I have not been going over 30 mph luckily. I never know when this will happen, my biggest fear is the engine will disengage, I will be stuck in the middle of the road and someone will not see me and rear-end me. I have contacted the dealer (January 31, 2024) and had the car looked at but because they could not duplicate the event, they gave it back to me. Attached are pics from the service call where after giving the car back to me they left diagnostic gauges, tape and rusty screwdriver in engine. The last time it happened and I took it to the dealer, they say they test drove it but on the Invoice the mileage remained the same from the Mileage in and out. Hmmm...Did they really test drive it?!!! Or are they just sick of me bringing it to them. Bought the 2021 Nissan Rogue on November 21, 2021 and currently (as of 6/3/24) only have 16315 miles. I am afraid, I have bought a Lemon.

SUSPENSION
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 5-10 MPH on a flat road surface, the contact noticed an abnormal shift in the rear suspension. The contact parked the vehicle. Upon inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the passenger's side rear wheel had shifted inward. The contact turned on the hazard lights and drove to the nearest dealer at slow speeds. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the passenger's side rear lower control arm was severely rusted and bent, causing the rear passenger's side wheel to shift inward. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000.

I was driving down the road and suddenly my back right passenger window imploded, it sounded like a gunshot going off it was so loud and sudden. There had been no previous damage to the window and I was on a completely paved road with no construction or other vehicles near for anything to have hit the window. The glass went inside all over my back seat and even into the trunk area, if my children had been in the backseat they could have been seriously injured and I could have swerved due to being startled but luckily I was able to safely pull over. I took it to the Nissan dealership to see if they could inspect it to see if it was a defect or fault of the vehicle and they told me there was nothing they could do that I would just need to file a claim with my insurance.

Additionally, the vehicle sometimes failed to remain in park(P); because of the failure, the parking brake had to be engaged to prevent the vehicle from rolling away. The failure progressed and the vehicle had since failed to start. An unknown warning light was illuminated. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that she noticed that in the spare trunk compartment, a tear gas device was installed and welded into the vehicle by the FBI. The owner placed foil over the device. Additionally, a device containing sarin gas was placed in the vehicle by an unknown source. The contact stated that she had experienced a nosebleed and dizziness due to the devices, and medical attention was provided. The contact stated that an outside source deflated the tires and was able to shut down and accelerate the vehicle using a chip in the key fob, causing her to crash into the sidewalk. A police report was filed. There was no reported fire or air bag deployment. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

On May 17, 2024 my 2020 Nissan Rogue malfunctioned after the ignition button was pressed to start the car, and burst into flames. 1.What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Unknown but fire began in the upper left quadrant area of engine. 2.How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? It was a fire with the potential to cause an explosion. 3.Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center?No. 4.Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Car inspected by insurance. Manufacturer was notified. 5.Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Once the ignition button was pressed a barrage of warning lights came on including: brake failure, headlight failure, chassis control failure. The smell of smoke was detectable immediately.

While driving severe shuddering and knocking of the engine occurred rendering vehicle undriveable. Car was towed to Nissan dealership resulting in the entire engine and turbocharger needing to be replaced. Technician reported needing excessive force to move the crankshaft, high gasoline scent from oil, and metal/bearing in oil pan.
