  NISSAN; DIAGNOSIS INFORMATION FOR DTC P161D SERVICE INFORMATION When key registration is unsuccessful after BCM replacement, P161D (Immobilizer) will set when the ignition is turned on. Possible causes - Improper key registration - Defective BCM (Vehicles with Intelligent Key only) - EPS control unit (Vehicles with mechanical key only) - Intelligent Key unit (Vehicles with mechanical key only) Trouble Diagnosis NOTE: If DTC B2196-52 is stored with P161D, perform the diagnosis procedure for DTC B2196-52 first. - Before replacing the BCM, confirm that the keys were programmed correctly by ensuring the vehicle will start and that the lock/unlock buttons function normally. - If any keys do not function normally, re-register all of the keys. - After re-registering all of the keys, reconfirm each key's function. - If OK, erase the code to complete the repair. - If NG, diagnose the Key, BCM and/or EPS control unit per the ESM.

  2017-2018 Rogue and Rogue Sport Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) Update Notification Letter Nissan is conducting an important Customer Service Initiative to increase awareness of an available update for the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system on certain Model Year 2017-18 Rogue (T32), Rogue Sport (J11), and Rogue Hybrid (T32) vehicles. In rare instances and unique roadway environments such as certain types of railroad crossings and metal overpasses, the AEB system in some vehicles may activate braking when not needed. The driver can always override the AEB system by pressing the accelerator. To help enhance system performance for the customers that have experienced this issue, Nissan developed a special AEB system update that is available to owners at no cost for parts and labor during the duration of the Basic Coverage under their New Vehicle Limited Warranty (3 years/36,000 miles, whichever comes first). THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE INITIATIVE IS IMPLEMENTED TO MAKE CUSTOMERS AWARE OF AN AVAILABLE UPDATE. THIS INITIATIVE IS NOT A WARRANTY, AN EXTENSION OF THE NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY, OR AN IMPLIED OR GENERAL WARRANTY, AND IS NOT CONNECTED TO ANY SALE OF THE VEHICLE.

  Fuel Tank Band Bolt Dealer Inventory *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a quality action to torque the front fuel tank band bolts to specification on 12 specific 2019 Rogue Sport (J11) vehicles identified in Service Comm. Affected vehicles are not subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. Nissan requests dealers to complete this repair prior to sale to ensure customer satisfaction. *****What Dealers Should Do***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National Service History ? Open Campaigns I.D. P8337. - New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). - Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information - Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. Dealers should use the attached procedure to remedy any vehicle affected by this quality action. 3. The service department should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed so it can be closed on Service Comm and release the vehicle. ***** Dealer Responsibility ***** It is the dealer?s responsibility to check Service Comm or DBS National Service History ?   2014 - 2019 ROGUE; SQUEAK/CREAK NOISE FROM FRONT SUSPENSION BOUND BUMPER DRIVING OVER BUMPS IF YOU CONFIRM Using the flow chart on page 2, a squeak/creak noise is heard coming from the left or right front suspension bound bumper when driving over speed bumps or similar road surfaces. NOTE: This squeak/creak noise, if it should occur, is more noticeable in cold weather. ACTION Replace the front suspension bound bumper, only on the side that is making noise. - Refer to the appropriate Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for replacement information. SUSPENSION > FRONT SUSPENSION > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT COIL SPRING AND STRUT > Removal and Installation. - Pages 4 - 6 in this bulletin contain helpful information to perform this procedure. - Make sure to replace the one-time-use nuts listed in the PARTS INFORMATION. - Check the front wheel alignment; adjust to factory specifications as needed. NOTE: DO NOT apply lubricant to the bound bumper to resolve this issue.

IF YOU CONFIRM The MIL is ON with DTC P0776 (PC SOLENOID B ? Pressure Control Solenoid ?B? Performance/Stuck OFF) stored. NOTE: - If P0744, P0746, P0841, P0965, P2813, or P17F0 are stored this bulletin does not apply. Refer to ASIST for diagnostic assistance. - With this incident, if it should occur, P1715 (INPUT SPEED SENSOR) may be stored with DTC P0776. The vehicle may also hesitate and/or have reduced power. ACTION 1. Refer to the Repair Flow Chart on page 2 for mechanical CVT repair. 2. If needed, reprogram the TCM. - Refer to step 30 in the TCM Reprogram section (page 21) of the SERVICE PROCEDURE to confirm if reprogramming is needed. 3. Perform Additional Service (page 19).
