Customers may also experience one or more of the following: ● K0 Adaptation routine runs when vehicle stationary and in EV Mode. ● Vehicle loses propulsion capability. ● Service transmission warning light on. NOTE: A key cycle will recover these symptoms. **The following software enhancement is available: ● Modified the P0810 - Clutch Position Control Error set parameters.** **This bulletin involves reprogramming the TCM with the latest available software.** NOTE: **Please be sure that the 04B recall is completed prior to performing this TSB. This TCM software update is covered by the 04B recall if still incomplete.**"

Summary"GENERATOR Engine Prior to alternator/generator removal: 1. Inspect & check all electrical connections to the alternator a. 2-way connector containing field control circuit & alternator sense voltage circuit. b. Unplug & plug-in the 2-way connector for field & sense circuit. Verify the connection is tight & check for any bent pins in alternator connector or damage to female terminals in connector. c. Check Alternator B+ Stud connection to be sure nut is securing positive cable terminal properly (i.e. nut is clamping terminal & connection is tight). d. Check fuse between the alternator B+ stud & PDC terminal to make sure it is not blown. e. Be sure to follow service manual sections on ALTERNATOR CONTROL CIRCUIT DIAGNOSTIC & ALTERNATOR SENSE CIRCUIT DIAGNOSTIC looking for any opens & shorts (to ground or battery voltage). 2. Check/verify all grounds in the charging system circuit a. Check tightness of mounting bolts securing alternator to engine block. Alternator is a case ground component. b. Check main ground from engine to chassis; connection must be tight. c. Check battery ground cable connections are tight. d. Potentially, loosen alternator mounting bolts, without removing alternator, and re-tighten to torque specifications in service manual. e. After all steps above are complete, re-start engine & check charging system operation. 3. Verify that the Smart Charging System is not the reason for alternator low voltage & current output (Amps). a. Alternator charging can be suspended during engine idle operation because of the Smart Charge strategy. b. Refer to service manual section ""System Operation - Smart Charging System"". c. Refer to Star Case S2008000031 Rev A for low charging voltage & Smart Charge Mode Voltage Range diagram & mode descriptions. d. The alternator has no internal regulator; thus, has no smart circuitry. All alternator control signals come from ECM. 4. If alternator is faulty, remove alternator & mounting bolts. Return alternator with bolts for analysis at QEC."

Customers may experience one or more of the following: ● Noticeable oil life degradation when fuel and oil refresh mode active. ● Vehicle may not be able to enter electric mode driving while Fuel Oil Refresh Mode (FORM) is active. ● FORM staying on too long. Other software enhancement included with this update: ● On Board Fuel Consumption Monitoring Updates (China Only). This bulletin involves reprogramming the PCM with the latest software available. NOTE: Additional module flashes are required for this update to be effective, the following modules are all to be updated along with this PCM update. ● Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM). ● Transmission Control Module (TCM). ● Integrated Dual Charging Control Module (IDCM). ● Hybrid Control Processor (HCP), Auxiliary Hybrid Control Processor (AHCP) also known as the Power Inverter Module (PIM)."

The parts kit (SENSOR KIT, Axle: 68544629A$) must be used to repair the Axle Locker Sensor on JL/JT equipped with the M210 and M220 Tru-Lok axles (DSE). Internal axle components are serviceable. Complete axle assemblies should not be replaced unless necessary due to damaged housing. Over repairs may be subject to chargeback."

Please submit pictures of the leak area thru the DIDI process outlined in the STAR Online document. NOTE: Some coolant residue may be found at the water pump weep hole plug area which may be normal, but coolant should not be dripping from this location. If unsure about, use the Pressurized Coolant System Inspection process as found in the Dealer Connect Cooling Diagnosis and Testing Procedures."
