Vehicle has the exact same problem with the fuel pump relay that the 2014s has. The 2014s are repaired via NHTSA yet the 2015s are not. The issue is EXACTLY the same. Why does the NHTSA care about the safety of 2014 owners/passengers but not 2015 owners/passengers?

I had stopped at a red light and the auto start/stop turned off the car. It would not restart. The fault caused it to stay in Park and could not get out of Park to move vehicle. This not only caused a road hazard but made me and others unsafe. The cause was a enclosed fuse box that made batteries go bad. I feel Jeep should be responsible for this.

- #11743996June 14, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
On XXX, at approximately 8:45 AM in [XXX], my wife was driving our 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. She was stopped at a red traffic light and, when the light turned green, proceeded to make a normal left turn through the intersection. While approximately halfway through the intersection, the vehicle unexpectedly displayed a forward collision warning ("BRAKE!") and aggressively applied the Automatic Emergency Braking system. The weather was clear and sunny, and there was no apparent vehicle, pedestrian, obstacle, or other hazard in the Jeep's path that would have justified an emergency braking intervention. The unexpected braking caused the Jeep to decelerate abruptly in the middle of the intersection. As a result, a truck traveling behind the Jeep, at an estimated speed of approximately 10 mph, rear-ended the vehicle. A second vehicle then rear-ended the truck, resulting in a multi-vehicle collision. A police report was filed, and my wife was determined not to be at fault for the accident. We are submitting this report because we are concerned that the unexpected activation of the Automatic Emergency Braking system may represent a serious safety issue that could endanger vehicle occupants and other motorists and should be investigated. The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the contact felt that the vehicle was misaligned. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where the contact was informed that the rear brake shocks needed to be replaced. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic, who informed the contact that no braking system failure was found; however, the rear-end air bag suspension had blown, causing the vehicle to lean on its right side. The contact was then referred back to the dealer, who scheduled a diagnosis appointment. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 106,000.

On approximately January 21st 2026 my vehicle was brought in to Brickell Jeep for the required recall software update. On January 23rd, I was notified that all recalls were complete and that I should come pick up the vehicle. After about a week, I realized that the high voltage battery would not hold a charge and would start to deplete after being fully charged and still plugged in. On February 6th, the vehicle was brought back in for repair. On March 22nd I was told that all was repaired and vehicle was delivered to my home. After about 10 days it one again would not hold a charge. On April 8th, the vehicle was brought back to the dealership. On June 11th I received a call from Stellantis Jeep customer care to inform me that currently, there is no fix for my vehicle and to pick it up and keep it plugged in or it will fail.

While driving my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x2, the driver side Active Head Restraint deployed without any collision, rear impact, crash, or other triggering event. There was a sudden loud bang directly behind my head, which startled me and created an immediate safety distraction while the vehicle was in motion. I did not know what had happened at the time. The head restraint remains deployed/open and cannot be reset. The vehicle was not involved in a crash, there was no rear impact, and there was no airbag deployment. FCA/Stellantis has issued an X88 Active Head Restraint warranty extension for certain Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles involving inadvertent deployment of the front Active Head Restraint where it cannot be reset due to internal damage. My vehicle appears to have experienced the same failure mode, but Jeep/Stellantis has advised that my VIN does not qualify for X88 coverage, apparently because the vehicle was built after the selected warranty extension population. My vehicle build date is January 2018, with MDH 011623. I am filing this complaint because this was a safety related head restraint failure that occurred while driving without a collision. The sudden deployment caused a loud impact immediately behind my head and created a dangerous distraction. I am concerned that vehicles outside the current X88 warranty population may still be experiencing the same inadvertent Active Head Restraint failure. The vehicle was factory ordered and delivered in February 2018, which may explain the later January 2018 build date, but it is still a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and appears to have experienced the same inadvertent Active Head Restraint failure mode described in FCA’s X88 warranty extension.

I was driving at approximately 30 - 35mph when another car went through a stop sign causing a head on collision. I did not see the other car, therefore had no time to brake or maneuver away - the collision happened at the full speed I was driving. The damage to the car is directly in the center and towards the right side of the front of vehicle where the airbag sensors are located. The airbags did not deploy. I was restrained by my seatbelt.

As I was driving the warning system alerting me to BRAKE! came on and jerked the vehicle to a stop even though no one was in front of me and there were no cars next to me either. Extremely dangerous to have the vehicle stop out of the blue while driving 20 mph. The component has not been inspected yet and the warning lights came on the dashboard.

While flat towing this vehicle there was a failure that caused the brakes to melt down and almost start a vehicle fire. The proper process for flat towing for both the vehicle and the brake buddy classic 3 system were followed. The dealership would not provide the data log report which would explain the cause of the problem, but just blame the towing system. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act they are required to show proof of the fault.

On 11 October 2025, I was driving on the Interstate when an error message appeared in the cluster "Active Lane Management (ALM) Unavailable Service Required". The Lane Assistance turned OFF and could not be turned back ON until vehicle was restarted. I called the dealership and requested an appointment. They stated that unless they could repeat the issue, an appointment would be useless. The ALM error message disappeared on restart of the vehicle. On 02 January 2026, I started the vehicle when an error message appeared in the cluster "Auto Emergency Break (AEB) Limited Functionality Service Required". The Lane Assistance turned OFF but could be turned back ON. The vehicle visited the dealership on 13 February 2026 and the AEB error was repeated numerous times on start by dealership personnel. On Monday, 23 February 2026, vehicle was left at dealership for 10 days. They performed numerous software updates and returned vehicle to me on 05 March 2026. On 09 March 2026, AEB Error message appeared in cluster. Took vehicle immediately to dealership and they refused to take it back in for service. They stated Jeep had no idea how to resolve and I had to wait on a solution. AEB message happened again on 14 March 2026, 31 March 2026, 01 April 2026, 05 May 2026, 08 May 2026, 21 May 2026. On 05 May 2026, the AEB error and ALM error appeared on the same day. I drove the vehicle to the dealership and they retrieved error code U045D. Dealership finally agreed to take vehicle back in for service on Monday, 25 May 2026 which is where is still sitting today, 05 Jun 2026. Initially, dealership stated Jeep had release another software update but then 24 hours later they stated they had ordered a new cluster. The new cluster was cancelled by Jeep so they ordered it again. Dealership stated they are waiting on a new cluster to arrive. I have no idea if AEB system works or not which to me is a major safety issue. Also, how can I trust this vehicle ever again!

My daughter that is [XXX], her in the passenger seat, me driving were traveling down a street. I slowed to enter a turn lane going maybe 10 mph and heard a loud bang. I said "what was that noise." I glanced at my daughter she looked dazed and said "I don't know but something slammed into the back of my head." I pulled in where we were going and looked to find the head rest was popped open behind her head. There were no bumps, no impacts and not even high speed. This headrest mechanism literally deployed for no reason slamming at high speed into the back of her head and neck. I stopped called Mopar and made a complaint because it was right at 5pm and dealers were closing. She was slurring speech, dazed and repeating herself. Took her to the urgent care that sent me to the ER out of concern. They told me she may need head and neck images. The doctors and staff were so confused as to what I was even talking about. I showed them photos so they could see the situation. I was in the ER with her for 5 hours. She has a concussion. THESE HEADRESTS ARE DANGEROUS AND JUST INJURED A MINOR. WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE ARE NOT CALLING FOR RECALL. THIS ISNT JUST ABOUT EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT. THIS INJURY COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE AND THERE IS OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING FLAWED HERE. I HAVE SEEN MANY OF THE SAME STORY. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The jeep is towed behind our camper. When the camper truck turns, the wheels on the jeep stay straight and drag the jeep through the turn sideways. On a highway off ramp with a curve at higher speed the jeep wants to pull the camper off the edge. Lane assist is off but I was forced to pick something below. The issue is with the jeep steering not tracking behind the camper causing a hazardous condition going on curves. The wheels turn with the steering wheel but not when being towed. All procedures to flat tow are being followed per the owners manual. There is a technical service bulletin published in May 2025 by Chrysler about “dragging” tires and it is not resolved.

Headlight beams do not function. Beam lights come on upon starting car then turn off moments after. Then I am driving done the street in complete darkness. I have taken the Jeep to the dealership of purchase ( Elmhurst Chrysler/jeep/dodge Elmhurst Illinois 630-834-8000 ) 4 times over several months. They have confirmed the problem. Two days ago they had me replaced the battery. There was NO messages or other warnings that the lights have failed.
