The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the front passenger’s side low beam headlight started to dim and then became inoperable. The contact then stated that on another day, the front driver’s side low beam headlight became inoperable. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted and the contact was currently at the dealer The failure mileage was 101,966.

SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
While driving, the vehicle will sometimes think there’s an object (vehicle or something) close in front of me so the brakes will automatically engage, which slows down the vehicle. This is quite alarming as this has happened on several occasions, causing me to almost get hit from the rear. I previously took the vehicle in to report this problem but they couldn’t duplicate it so I was informed that there is no problem. HOWEVER, just because they don’t know how to duplicate it, that doesn’t mean the problem doesn’t exist. I am concerned about my safety so this needs to be addressed ASAP. Also, for the date of incident, I will use the most recent date.

COMMUNICATION: AUTO CRASH NOTIFICATION
The contact owns a 2019 Infiniti QX60. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, a warning sensor light would indicate that the Forward Collision Avoidance sensor was turned off. The contact stated that small amounts of road debris had led to the sensor failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer on multiple occasions where she was instructed to keep the sensors cleaned to avoid further failures. Despite multiple attempts to keep the sensors clean, the failure persisted. The sensor was then repaired under warranty; however, the failure returned. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and referred her to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000. The consumer stated the problem has been resolved.

The vehicle constantly shudders and almost stalls when in reverse or in low gear. The vehicle seems to not switch properly between the hybrid battery to the engine or vice-versa. The vehicle has a recall from October 2021 and Infiniti has not fixed the recall yet. I feel the vehicle is unsafe. I have emailed and contacted Infiniti to no avail. Infiniti has not remedied this recall in any fashion in almost a year.

POWER TRAIN
During acceleration between certain speeds particularly 40 mph to 60 mph and above the vehicle begins to shudder or vibrate. This is only when applying power and not when braking, steering, coasting or anything else that might be associated with the Brakes, Suspension, Wheel Bearings, Rotors, Tire/Wheel Balance, Tire Pressure, Constant Velocity Joint, . Likely a CVT Transmission Issue. When applying power sometimes while starting out in traffic it feels like the vehicle is not working or not accelerating in tune with the amount of pressure applied to the throttle.

SERVICE BRAKES
When I'm pressing the brakes on the car at all speeds (more noticeable at slower speeds) the car jerks before it comes to a complete stop. When the car is first turned on, the cars brakes smoothly. Unfortunately, after a few times braking, the car will jerk before the car fully stops. At times , the jerk is minimal, where only I feel it. Other times, my passengers feel it and the whole car moves. Another issue I'm having with the vehicle is when pressing the brakes, the car takes a while to slow down, causing me to have to push the brakes with more force than usual, which is a problem especially driving in city streets. I took the car to the service department and they said they didn't feel what I described when they took the vehicle for a test drive. They did suggest I bring the car back if the problem continues. I'm concerned because I had major electrical problems with this vehicle already and I've only had this car for 3 1/2 months. Please help get these issues addressed. Thank you.

Driving at highway at about 65 mph last night with almost no cars around us when we (wife and I) heard loud bang above us almost like an explosion. I pulled over safely and found out the sunroof is completely shattered out of the blue. There was no cars or trucks around us and no debris. It just exploded. We were not harmed since the shade was pulled and prevented glass from falling into the inside of the car. Very scary experience

POWER TRAIN
I was moving down a small slope behind other vehicles at a speed of 40-50 mph. In order to slow down a bit, I decided to manually downshift gear, I pressed the left switch and expected that after changing gear the speed it would begin to decline. But instead of slowing down, I felt a push in my back and for a second the car began to accelerate and only then began to slow down. I had to urgently apply the brakes so as not to crash into the car in front. I tried again to shift down and each time before changing the gear the car accelerated, although I did not press the accelerator pedal. To test why this is happening, I connected an OBD 2 device to record time, speed, absolute throttle position, accelerator pedal position and engine RPM. I have reproduced the situation on the track and it appears that the car's software actually increases throttle during manual downshifts. This is very dangerous and can lead to an accident, because the driver expects a decrease in speed, and instead of this, the car accelerates itself. I tried to contact the manufacturer, but they didn't even listen and sent it to the dealer. The dealer said that there was no new software and did not even check the dangerous behavior of the machine.

While driving down a clear road on a beautiful day, the sunroof in my QX60 randomly exploded, outwardly. It sounded like a gunshot hit the car. Glass went everywhere, hit oncoming traffic, the windshield, and hood of car. We immediately pulled over and noticed the sunroof was expanding outwardly towards the sky, not inward. It was making a concerning sound in the process. The sound scared all of and almost caused a wreck. I was 6 months pregnant at the time and my husband was in the passenger side and my 20 month old son was in the back seat car seat.

VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY
The contact owns a 2018 Infiniti QX60. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, he heard an abnormal sound. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to park at a nearby parking lot and noticed that the sunroof panel had shattered. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact then towed the vehicle to Infiniti at HGreg Monrovia (821 E Central Ave, Monrovia, CA 91016: (626) 275-1385) and was informed that the sunroof panel had to be impacted with an object to shatter. The vehicle was not repaired but was pending repairs. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 61,000. The sunroof of my vehicle exploded while driving on the 105 freeway from the airport area in Los Angeles.. I also just found out there is a class action Law Suit. This was extremely dangerous. My life was at risk and order drivers on the freeway. Please don't let Infinity get away with murder.
