SummaryQ50 AND Q60 WITH VR30DDTT (V6) ENGINE; ENGINE OIL DRAIN PLUG SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION Whenever installing an engine oil drain plug on an APPLIED VEHICLE with a VR30DDTT (V6) engine, NEVER tighten the drain plug greater than its specified torque. Over-tightening may loosen the threaded insert in the oil pan (lower), causing an oil leak. ALWAYS replace the drain plug gasket after removing the drain plug, and then tighten the drain plug to the specified torque. ï· VR30DDTT (V6) engine oil drain plug torque (with new gasket): ï 2WD and AWD: 33.5 Nâ¢m (3.4 kg-m, 25 ft-lbs) ï· Avoid contact with the engine oil as it may be hot and cause burns. ï· Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with used engine oil as it may cause skin cancer. Try to avoid direct skin contact with used engine oil. If skin contact is made, wash with a suitable hand cleaner or soap as soon as possible.

ACTION 1. First perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure for the stored DTC to repair the vehicle according to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). 2. Reprogram the ECM after performing the diagnosis and repair. ï· -The ECM reprogram in this Service Procedure is not a repair for the DTC, but instead updates the way the permanent DTC is stored and allowed to be erased. The DTC must be properly diagnosed and repaired before the reprogram is applied.

Summary2018 Q50; TPMS LIGHT ON WITH DTC STORED IF YOU CONFIRM The Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) light is ON with one or more of the following DTCs stored: C1708 â [NO DATA] FL C1709 â [NO DATA] FR C1710 â [NO DATA] RR C1711 â [NO DATA] RL ACTION 1. Verify that the TPMS sensor associated with the stored DTC(s) is transmitting a signal with the Signal Tech II. 2. If transmitting, clear TPMS DTCs, turn the HVAC to maximum cool, and then road test the vehicle (see the specific conditions under steps 20 and 21 on page 6). 3. If a DTC is stored during the road test, replace the HVAC blower motor.

SummaryAEB WARNING LIGHT BLINKING This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with a lane camera. SERVICE INFORMATION If the AEB warning light is blinking (but not illuminated steadily) or the customer states it is blinking, and there are no related DTCs, inspect the windshield. A blinking AEB warning light may occur under the following conditions: - When contamination or foreign material adhere to the lane camera viewing window on the windshield - When driving while it is snowing or when frost forms on the lane camera viewing window on the windshield - When the lane camera viewing window on the windshield is temporarily fogged up NOTE: - If DTCs are present in any of the following related systems: - Laser/Radar, - ICC/ADAS, or - Lane Camera, Refer to the related Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for diagnosis. - Refer to the following pages for further information.

SummaryINTELLIGENT KEY DOES NOT WORK AFTER BATTERY REPLACEMENT SERVICE INFORMATION If the Intelligent Key of an APPLIED VEHICLE does not work after replacing the battery, inspect the positive (+) terminals. If the battery side of the Intelligent Key is held by pinching down on the terminals while removing the battery, it is possible to bend the terminals down far enough that they will not touch the contacts on the other half of the Intelligent Key. If the terminals are found to be bent down, pry them back up so that they will come in contact with the other half of the Intelligent Key?s contacts. - Refer to the photos on the following pages.

SummaryEXTERIOR CLEANING INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION When cleaning the exterior of an Infiniti vehicle, damage may occur when using a cleaner with too high of an alkaline concentration. - Always refer to the Appearance and care section of the related owner?s manual. - Not all cleaners are created equal. - Many cleaners come in concentrated form. - Alkaline cleaners (cleaners with a high pH value) can cause spots on paint and trim when not used as directed. - Some commercial car washes use cleaners with a high pH value. - When using cleaners that meet the conditions defined in the Appearance and care section, be sure to carefully follow the cleaner?s directions. - When finished cleaning/washing, rinse thoroughly with clean water. IMPORTANT: Damage to paint, glass, bright metal, or any other exterior surface caused by using improper cleaning products is not covered under warranty. Always refer to the Paint Incident Identification Manual (PIIM) and Assurance Products Reference Manual (APRM). Follow the guidelines in the PIIM and APRM for non-warrantable exterior body, glass, or painted surface quality issues. SummaryCLOCK, AUDIO, HVAC OR NAVIGATION SETTINGS INTERMITTENTLY CHANGE ON THEIR OWN This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with INFINITI InTouch (Intelligent Key). SERVICE INFORMATION An Intelligent Key, for the applied vehicles with INFINITI InTouch?, has the abillity to trigger specific customized settings for the radio, clock, heating and air conditioning (HVAC) and navigation that are unique to that key, and each Intelligent Key for a specific vehicle may have different settings stored. EXAMPLE: The vehicle may be driven by more than one person, and each driver has a personal Intelligent Key. Each driver may adjust their preferred vehicle settings differently. If two or more Intelligent Keys with different stored settings are unintentionally interchanged, one or more of the following perceived issues might be reported by the customer(s). - Radio ? Presets are lost or change - Clock ? Settings are not showing the correct time due to day-light savings or the selected region (time zone) - HVAC ? Controls are set differently - Navigation ? Settings suddenly altered If any of these perceived issues are present: - Confirm if there are multiple Intelligent Keys being used by the customer(s) interchangeably, and if so, verify that each key?s settings are different. NOTE: Customer may not recognize that different Intelligent Keys are linked differently.
