Rear suspension making popping sound at low speed. Rear shocks have also seemed not performing properly over potholes at one time causing an error code for the AWD system. Had local dealer make repairs for TSB for this know issue of shock mounting insulators. Vehicle noise was fixed and ride seemed to be improved for about one day then it started making same popping sound again at slow speeds. Assuming rough ride will return shortly.

System that malfunctioned was the braking system Safety was risked because vehicle doesn’t stop as it should at low speed below 30mph. Safety of occupants as well pedestrians and other motorists affected. Problem can be reproduced although dealer refused to confirm. I am in the process of getting it confirmed independently. Vehicle and components not inspected by manufacturer, police nor insurance. Although I am in the process of putting an insurance claim in. The issue has been reported and confirmed by several other owners of same make and model and year. No prior warning of issue to it happening. The problem: At low speed below 30mph and braking simultaneously when going over rough ground (non slippery), potholes or in my accident going over a 6” drain to my garage, the ABS kicks in when it shouldn’t and the brake pedal vibrates and the vehicle lurches a bit. The result is that the braking distance increases significantly. I can reproduce the issue in particular roads areas. The accident I had involved when I was parking the car and the drain cover was dislodged at the entrance to the garage. I hit the brakes as usual but the brakes were ineffective and I ended up crashing into my refrigerator and freezer in the garage which took the full brunt of the impact and were damaged. I hardly had any brakes at all and the fridges took the full impact. Luckily it was at low speed. So only the front bumper got cracked and got damaged along with the fridges being fully crushed in. After the incident I was so shocked at what happened and couldn’t believe I lost the brakes so I found that several other owners of the same vehicle has had the same or even severe brake failures. I was able to replicate the problem fairly consistently in certain roads where it was slightly bumpy or rough. I didn’t want to try in my garage for obvious reasons. Furthermore the emergency brakes and collision warning did not activate either.

The ABS engaged unnecessarily when I pressed the brake pedal, causing the vehicle to slide forward about 6-10 feet while I was driving at approximately 10 miles per hour. The same situation has occurred three times over the past seven months. When the ABS engages, it takes longer for the vehicle to slow down or stop. This poses a potential risk for everyday driving. The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while driving at a slower speed than 60 MPH or attempting to make a left or right turn, there was an abnormal tapping sound coming from the driver’s side rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, and it was diagnosed that the driver’s side rear suspension bracket needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, while driving, the tapping sound returned, and the vehicle was driven back to the dealer. The dealer replaced another suspension bracket on the same driver’s side rear; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.

When going over an uneven surface (railroad track/cobblestone/pothole) at a low speed, specifically while braking, the car starts violently shaking and prevents me from stopping the car. It has caused my car to go an extra 15-20 ft and even had to narrowly miss being T-boned twice (thank goodness the people coming saw me!) From what I’ve seen it is the ABS that is sensitive, but I’m not certain. I just know that it is dangerous and concerns me with children in the car. Dealer could not reproduce and told me it was “normal” over uneven surfaces- even asked why I was braking over the tracks (there is usually a stoplight or stop sign right after!). Hope this gets figured out quickly before someone gets seriously injured or killed, as I see many others have experienced the same. Truly a scary experience every time it happens.

- #11679517August 9, 2025VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
When using lane assist the vehicle is pulled into other lanes, including into oncoming traffic. This happens even when the vehicle is centered in the lane. This is extremely dangerous because it can cause an accident. When using cruise control, the lane assist comes on automatically which is extremely dangerous because the vehicle is going at high speeds on the highway. The dealership is aware of the situation. Both the mechanic and the salesman have driven the vehicle with me and experienced the problem. Additionally, the salesman and I drove another 2025 palisade and the lane assist problem was present in that vehicle also.

The contact owns a 2021 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that the second-row seat belts seized and failed to release without disconnecting the buckle, and then retracting the seat belts to be able to move the seat belts as needed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer six times. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 312.

The vehicle shakes violently when applying the brakes over any bump or pothole at slow speeds. This also extends the stopping distance for the car. It has no warning lights. This is a brand new car with only 1200 miles. The problem was able to be confirmed by the dealer but no fix yet.

On a number of occasions, the vehicle does not stop when hitting the brakes. The car shudders and shakes violently, while continuing to lunge forward before finally stopping. This has happened to me approaching crosswalks, intersections, and stop signs. This is a problem for many reasons as it is a safety hazard for me and my family, as well as other drivers and pedestrians. I brought my car to the dealership on July 11th, and they told me they had heard of this problem before. They would not return my vehicle because it was a safety issue that Hyundai Corporate is still investigating. On 8/6, my vehicle was returned to me. The dealership said they were not able to replicate the problem (after driving it for 3 miles). They did not fix my car or change anything, but corporate told them to release all vehicles with this issue. This is a safety concern that Hyundai is not addressing.

Brake pedal intermittently goes soft or does not respond properly. Dealership flushed brake lines but issue returned within weeks. No ABS or brake system warning lights are triggered. Safety is a concern due to potential brake failure and lack of system alerts.

- #11678829August 6, 2025VISIBILITY/WIPER, STRUCTURE:BODY, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The windshield (visibility system) on my 2025 Hyundai Tucson (VIN: [XXX] ) was cracked on [XXX]. I immediately contacted the dealership where I purchased the vehicle (in New York), and later local Hyundai dealers in Florida where I now reside. I was informed that the windshield is on a nationwide OEM backorder with no estimated time of arrival (ETA). As of August 6, 2025, the part remains unavailable, and the vehicle has been inoperable for 57 days, parked in my garage. The crack makes the vehicle unsafe to drive, and due to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane keeping assistance and forward collision warning, the windshield requires proper OEM calibration post-installation, which cannot be performed until the correct part is secured. The issue was confirmed by multiple Hyundai dealers and 3rd-party glass installers, all of whom indicated they are unable to acquire the correct windshield due to Hyundai’s ongoing parts shortage. No resolution has been provided by Hyundai corporate. Although one vendor was referenced by the dealer, they too did not have the part available locally. Hyundai has offered limited rental reimbursement, but not enough to cover costs during this extended downtime. No inspection has been conducted by the manufacturer or insurance company beyond initial confirmation of the damage. No warning lights or messages preceded the incident — the issue is entirely due to the unavailability of a critical OEM part, making the vehicle unsafe and unusable. I am paying monthly for a financed vehicle that cannot be driven due to a manufacturing and supply chain failure beyond my control. We purchased this car new around June 2023 from a local Hyundai dealer. The car has been regularly maintained (at the dealer) and only has 20,000 miles approximately. In April of this year, my wife was drive on a very busy highway and suddenly all of the warning lights came on the dashboard and the car shuddered to a very rapid stop. She was lucky to pull off the road or it would have been serious. We got it into the dealer and they called a few days later to say it was fixed. Unfortunately, it was not. It happened again on June 20th this year. We had it towed back to the dealer. It has been there since (today is August 5th). They claim they cannot locate the issue and have been working with Hyundai Motor to troubleshoot. I filed a complaint with Hyundai (and really no assistance offered). Last week, they told us it was repaired and to come get it. My wife barely made it out of the lot before it did the same and came to a sudden stop. Not sure if this is happening to other Hyundai vehicles but this is certainly a dangerous situation... and the fact that they cannot determine the cause or how to fix, we are very concerned.

I have noticed repeatedly when the 3 following conditions are met the anti lock brakes do not function correctly. The vehicle is moving slower. Below 30mph but usually this is below 15 mph. The vehicle goes over a bump or series of bumps I am braking. Usually bringing the vehicle to a stop. The ABS will "overreact" and kick in causing the vehicle to not stop in a timely manner. The ABS will continuously operate until the vehicle stops. Removing your foot from the brakes and reapplying them will fix the problem. Which is counterintuitive as to how ABS works and the problem it alleviates. I would expect a normal vehicle to not even apply the ABS in such a situation as other than some normal bumps or cracks in the road all other conditions are normal. I am not slamming the brakes. I am not employing any emergency steering input. This is just me coming to a slow stop. Note this is an ongoing issue and was not a one time event.

This vehicle has excessive oil consumption, and the low oil light does not light up to tell you that you are low on oil. I only noticed that I was low on oil because the engine starts knocking and started to stall. I had the oil changed according to all service intervals and at one point the dealership told me my car had no oil left in it. I just had it changed, drove about 2k miles and already had to put more oil in because it didn't even show any oil on the dip stick. This is a safety hazard as well as an environmental problem with these vehicles burning this much oil. This started happening around 80-90k miles on the engine.
