Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Palisade vehicles. The side curtain air bags for third-row occupants may deploy improperly in a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Palisade vehicles. The windshield wiper motor may operate intermittently or fail to operate due to snow or ice buildup on the windshield, causing the wipers to fail.
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling 2020-2022 Palisade vehicles potentially equipped with a tow hitch harness installed as original equipment, or purchased as an accessory through a Hyundai dealership. Debris and moisture accumulation on the tow hitch harness module printed circuit board (PCB) may cause an electrical short, which can result in a fire.
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Palisade vehicles. The windshield wiper motor may become inoperative, causing the wipers to fail.
Sunroof wind deflector broke and guide popped out of assembly. Sunroof is inoperable. I was able to manually close sunroof almost completely but air leak is still present. Water is not leaking in yet but gasket exhibits higher wear due to not being completely sealed. Once gasket inevitably fails, water will leak into car. One dealer inspected and agreed with failure mode assessment but wanted 9 man hours to fix (TSB 23-BD-003H-1 says work should take no longer than 1 hour). No warning lamps or indicators prior to failure. Assembly failed while trying to open sunroof while driving.

My 2026 Hyundai Palisade (Calligraphy trim) received the software remedy associated with Hyundai Safety Recall 296 / NHTSA Recall 26V160. Prior to the recall update, the powered second- and third-row seat-folding switches operated with one press, after which the seat completed its movement automatically. Following the recall software update, Hyundai changed the controls so that the operator must continuously hold the switch for the entire duration of seat movement, and releasing the switch immediately stops the seat. I understand that the recall was intended to address occupant/object detection associated with powered seat movement. However, I am concerned that Hyundai's remedy eliminates significant functionality rather than correcting the underlying detection system while preserving the vehicle's original power-seat operation. I purchased the vehicle with one-touch power-folding seats as an advertised feature. The recall remedy materially alters that functionality and also disables or restricts other powered-seat functions that were present when the vehicle was sold. I request that NHTSA review whether Hyundai's remedy for Recall 26V160 is an adequate and appropriate permanent remedy, and whether Hyundai should instead be required to develop a corrected seat-control system that safely detects occupants and obstructions while restoring the vehicle's original one-touch power-folding functionality.

I am writing to file a formal complaint XXX regarding a severe safety defect on my 2023 Hyundai Palisade. On XXX, in [XXX] while driving under normal operating conditions, the sunroof glass spontaneously exploded with a loud noise resembling a gunshot. There was no vehicle ahead of me, no overpass overhead, and absolutely no external object or road debris struck the vehicle. The glass shattered violently upward and outward, which is a clear physical indicator of a spontaneous thermal or pressure-induced failure caused by a manufacturing defect, rather than an impact. As you are aware, spontaneous sunroof shattering is a heavily documented issue across 2023 and 2024 Hyundai Palisade models. Numerous identical complaints have been filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), pointing to a known defect in the tempering or structural stress of the panoramic glass panels. I have attached photos and a video of it still making sounds in the photo, you can also tell it is bubbling upward. This vehicle is well within its 5-year/60,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty period. This failure represents a severe, sudden compromise of passenger safety, and I expect Hyundai to honor its warranty obligations. I demand that Hyundai Motor America authorize a full replacement of the sunroof glass, a thorough cleaning of the headliner/cabin to remove microscopic glass shards, and a complimentary loaner vehicle while the repair is being completed. I look forward to your immediate response and prompt resolution to this safety matter. Sincerely, [XXX] and [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2023 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy less than 3 years old has a leaking factory radiator. Hyundai has TSBs for this on earlier models, but it is still happening.
