SEAT BELTS
The middle row outside seat belts have both not latched when trying to buckle and have come unlatched after buckling and latching. This has happened multiple times on both sides and while the vehicle is in motion. The problem has been reported to a local Hyundai service department but since no remedy has been produced yet, they have not been replaced which makes those seats unusable. This is obviously a huge safety concern to any passenger in the backseat and now have 2 less seats in our SUV. There were no indicators or warning symptoms prior to the seat belts malfunctioning. It first started around April 2024 and is still an issue currently

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The system that has the issue is the emergency braking system. The brakes of the car have engaged automatically at highway speeds more than 5 times. This has put the safety of the individuals in my car at risk as well as the cars around me because the cars behind me then got way to close because of my vehicle breaking. It is also very jarring for the driver and could make the driver make the driver swerve thinking there is someone getting too close. The emergency braking lights flash on the dash when this happens. I am waiting to get an appointment with the dealer.

While driving and slowing down at a stop light the car started to trigger the anti lock brakes. The car was shaking and it would not stop. I put the car in park right before hitting the car in front of me. It was a sunny day with no poor road conditions. The road was a little bumpy but not anything extreme.

I was coming down a hill slowing down and when I hit a dip in the pavement the abs engaged and the car was shuttering and would not stop. It has happened a few times now on uneven surfaces like potholes or bumps in the road.

SERVICE BRAKES
Yesterday while driving over train tracks and braking for a red light in the distance, my brakes pulsed as if I were on ice and my car could not stop. The road conditions were dry, with the temperature outside around 75 degrees. I was driving 20mph max and nearly hit the car in front of us as my brakes would not engage. My daughter and I were both terrified. My car has around 13K miles on it. Since purchasing the car last October I frequently feel the ABS pulse while driving over bumps and braking at the same time. I do believe this could be replicated. I thought it was just a quirk of the car or a computer glitch that occurs when braking on rougher terrain. But yesterday while braking I was unable to stop, nearly causing a collision. Luckily the car ahead moved forward so we avoided a crash. There were no warning lamps or messages. I'm very scared to drive this car now. Please help.

SERVICE BRAKES
When driving over bumps (speed bumps, railroad tracks, sewer lids etc.) at a slow speed while pressing the brakes, the rear passenger brake produces a shuddering or a grinding sensation. This issue has been confirmed by other drivers who have operated my vehicle. When this occurs, it feels as though the vehicle is not stopping properly and the brakes are slipping. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership on two separate occasions; however, the technicians were unable to duplicate the concern. After the most recent inspection, the dealership stated that they could not identify an issue. There are no warning messages or lights displayed on the dashboard when this happens. Through further research, I have found that a number of other owners have reported experiencing the same problem on the NHTSA site. This concerns me that others and myself are having this same issue and there has yet to be a recall or some type of technical service bulletin so the dealers will address this issue.

Opened the sunroof and a loud popping sound followed by complete sunroof failure and a loud flapping sound from sunroof which appears to be from the sunroof wind deflector that is not attached I tried to take photos of this too, I pulled over and the sunroof has completely come off the runners on one side leaving it not flush to the roof, it was scary for myself and my child in the car, I did some research and found a technical service bulletin which I was not aware of even though I regularly maintain my vehicle at the dealership. I took it down the dealership who charged me $179 to tell me it was broken and put some plastic wrap on and told me as I’m 200 miles out of warranty that repairs are $3000, I have been in touch with Hyundai USA who don’t seem to care about this issue, vehicle is available for inspection, there was no warning at all I just opened the sunroof and this randomly happened also to add I have only used the sunroof a handful of times since I have owned the vehicle from brand new.

when going over roughts that are considered rough the abs braking system does not engage and I have multiple times of almost hitting the vehicle in front of me cause the abs are multiapplying but not stopping in a normal time, instead the distance is longer...this only happens on rough roads currently and not off roading but actual concrete/asphalt service/highway roads

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
The contact owns a 2020 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact checked the oil level and became aware that the oil level was low. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an oil consumption test was performed. The contact was informed that the oil consumption test results indicated that the vehicle was operating properly. The contact stated that it was not normal to add oil every 1,000 miles driven. The contact stated that one quart of oil was added every 1,000 miles. In addition, the contact stated that the recommended oil change was at 5,000 miles. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.

SEATS
The driver seat will move without any input from the driver, it will move forward and also tilt as far forward as possible smashing the driver in the seat. It will do this when parked after starting the vehicle and it has also done it while DRIVING which impedded my ability to control the vehicle. This situation is incredibly dangerous but when I've taken it to the dealer they refuse to troubleshoot the issue because they didn't see it happen. This happens probably 5-10 times per week.

SERVICE BRAKES
I experienced a partial brake failure as I was attempting to leave a shopping center parking lot. The traffic light was red and there were no cars in front of me. I was traveling at approximately 10-15 mph. As I approached the light, I applied the brakes. The car started to shutter and the car kept moving forward. It’s as if the brakes were being applied off and on rapidly. The car kept moving forward. That’s when I applied a lot of pressure on the brake pedal to try and get the car to stop. It eventually stopped but by then, my vehicle was partly into the intersection. Had another vehicle been in front of me, my vehicle would certainly have made contact. There were no warning lights or other indications that the vehicle was having issues. The vehicle is brand new and has less than 800 miles on the odometer. The road surface was rather smooth; however, vehicles exiting the parking lot must drive over a drain grate. The braking issue happened as I drove over the grate. The grate is slightly lower than the paved road. Please see pictures. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership for evaluation. An internet search shows that other owners have experienced the same issue on 2023-2025 Palisades models.

SERVICE BRAKES
I've been dealing with an ongoing issue with my ABS kicking in when slowing down and driving over a bumpy surface since I purchased my car. I first reported this issue to Hyundai dealership and Hyundai Corporate Customer Care in July 2024.(As well as the NHTSA) At that time I had experienced this issue around 5 times. Since then, up to the present, I experience this issue on a regular basis and have brought my car into the local Hyundai dealership 4 times over the past year to fix. Each time I got the car back...it still was not fixed. I even had a technician from the dealership ride with me so I could show them...and he verified there is a safety issue. The dealership communicated with the Hyundai tech line and they were instructed to replace the ESC module in the ABS system. I picked up my car today, and the issue is still there. I went back to the dealer and even showed them a video of it happening today and the dealership said there is nothing they can do. Hyundai claims there is nothing wrong even though I have several videos and even had a local mechanic from the Hyundai dealership ride with me to experience this safety issue. I have called Hyundai Corporate again to escalate this safety concern. There is clearly a big problem and Hyundai needs to fix it before there is a serious accident or injury. Maybe pressure from your administration could help. I am willing to speak with anyone needing more information or copies of some of the videos I have taken.

When going over a bump/rough pavement at a slow speed and applying the brakes, there is a loud grinding noise and vibration on the brake pedal. The vehicle does not brake as fast as normal. This leads to extended braking distance. This has happened three times to us and haven’t been able to recreate. We are taking it in to the dealership to be evaluated.

SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Date: [XXX] Time: 12:00 PM Location: [XXX] (heading toward [XXX] ). - Turned left into the second entrance to the parking lot between [XXX] and [XXX]. My Vehicle: 2024 Hyundai Palisade Night Edition Incident Summary While entering the parking lot, the vehicle in front of me braked. When I attempted to brake (approx. 10 mph), my vehicle: - Began pulsing/jerking, consistent with ABS engaging. No matter how hard I pressed the brake my car would not stop it's kept pulsing - alerts and Beeping with a forward collision warning went off - car Lurched/jumped forward rather than stopping smoothly. This resulted in a minor rear-end contact with the vehicle ahead. Concerns for safety of myself and others because the car did not stop when hitting the brakes nor the collision warning initiate braking. CONCERNS - Concern that ABS or forward-collision system malfunctioned. - Service appointment scheduled for 9/9/2025 at 9:45 AM with Hyundai dealership. - Will keep a copy of the service summary for documentation. SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
PASSENGER SIDE REAR BRAKE CALIPER FAILED CAUSING THE BRAKE TO SCRAPE INTO THE ROTOR. THE EMERGANCY BRAKE REMAINED IN THE LOCK POSTION WHEN THE CALIPER FAILED. LOCKING THE CALIPER IN THE UP POSITION AND RELEASING BRAKE FLUID. DRIVER SIDE BRAKES, CALIPER, AND ROTOR COMPLETLY INTACT AND DOES NOT NEED REPLACING.
