In 2023, the car had a rough start during cold weather. Honda confirmed there was a service bulletin and told me my fuel injectors were likely failing. It’s a known issue. For 2 winters, I used Sea Foam to manage the problem. This winter, the dash completely lit up. I returned to Honda for an update to new version of the same service bulletin. They did the fix but it did not solve the problem. Tonight my car went into limp home mode and had to be towed to the mechanic for the fuel injector repair. We were on NC Interstate 540 when the car rapidly lost acceleration and luckily made it to a gas station for safe pick up. Me, my passenger and other drivers were all endangered the 3 times I had to pull over to stop and restart the car.

While coming to a stop on a slight incline, the brakes failed to stop the car, brakes were applied and initially slowed the car but when the slight incline was reached the brakes would not engage and the idle of the car move it forward and still the brakes would not engage. I had to put the car into neutral then park to stop. After the incident the brakes seemed to work fine. Nonetheless this is a major issue. There were no warning lights or any indication that something was malfunctioning. There were no indications after the incident either that anything malfunctioned. I will be taking the car to the dealer ASAP to have checked. We lightly tapped a truck that was in front of us on the slight incline - no obvious damage to either vehicle ( need to verify in daylight) - no injuries to anyone in the incident. If we were traveling faster there could have been serious injury or if there was a pedestrian there could have been serious injury.

There has been a growing number of people, including myself that are experiencing sticky steering wheels, steering rack issues and clunking when turning the steering wheel in 2023-2025 Honda Accords. A recall has only came out for Civics and Integras, but none for Honda Accords. I had the issue arise earlier this year in January. It was not as consistent and noticeable until the end of January. I made an appointment, I was told the sound couldn’t be recreated and sent home. I brought it right back and was given a piece of paper noting the issue for Civics and that there was nothing to be done and it won’t get worse. It did get worse and I brought it in a few days later just to be told someone from somewhere is coming to fix it. They regreased the gearbox and the noise was gone in February. The noise has since returned as of 12/25/2025, accompanies with a sticky steering wheel when driving at highway speeds. This issue continues to be brushed off and told it is safe to drive when no one should have to drive with a steering concern regardless if it is not bad “yet”. Consumers all over are stating the steering racks are replaced and other things but the issue just returns so it is not just a isolated situation, several people are dealing with this and it’s being ignored. Individuals personal experience can be found all over reddit including videos proof of the noise that is being made. This is my 2nd report!

Vehicle won’t start brake hold system problem, vehicle stability assist system problem, hill start assist problem, electric power steering problem collision mitigation system problem all appear on the dash but vehicle won’t start. Battery is not the issue, tested the battery it’s at 12.5V. Hard reset the battery and jumpstarted but issue persist. Taking vehicle to dealer to diagnose issue but I saw lots of YouTube videos and forums of people having the same issue but don’t see a recall open for this issue occurring.

- #11707012December 25, 2025FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
am reporting a problem with the Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking system. The vehicle has repeatedly given collision warnings and applied braking when there was no vehicle, person, or obstacle in front of me. I purchased the vehicle used in July 2023 with approximately 30,000 miles. It now has approximately 108,000 miles. Over the time I have owned the vehicle, this issue has occurred about ten times while I was driving. Four of these incidents happened recently with a passenger in the vehicle, which confirmed the issue was not driver error. In several instances, the system gave rapid warning beeps and then applied braking even though the road ahead was clear. One time this occurred at highway speed with no traffic in front of me. Another time it occurred on a lightly traveled local road with no visible hazard. The braking was sudden and unexpected. On one occasion, a leaf may have passed in front of the sensor, but the majority of incidents occurred with no visible trigger. There were no warning lights or messages before the events, only the collision alert immediately followed by braking. This behavior creates a safety risk because the vehicle can brake unexpectedly without an actual obstruction, which could lead to a rear end collision or loss of control. The problem has not yet been inspected by a dealer or manufacturer.

Sticky steering wheel at highway speed 70mph and when you put enough force to make it turn it jerks and you have to over correct it and go the other way to maintain in the middle lane on the highway. Takes about 10-15miles to start doing it but does not go away at all once it starts. Happens everytime on the highway

I am reporting a failed recall remedy. Honda was unable to provide parts for Recall 23V-858 for over a year. Operating the vehicle during this delay resulted in engine starvation, overheating, and a catastrophic cylinder head gasket failure. The dealer and manufacturer are now refusing to cover the consequential damage caused by their own delay.

- #11706790December 23, 2025FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE, ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
The contact owns a 2015 Honda Accord. The contact’s son stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled and failed to exceed 50 MPH. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was able to restart; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that there was a misfire in cylinder #2, causing engine failure, and the contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 164,040.

The head gasket of my 2018 Honda Accord, 1.5L turbo engine blew, allowing coolant to leak and pool into cylinder 3 of the engine. The engine was inspected by a Honda dealership and confirmed the defect/failure. I don’t have the failed gasket, but do have images of the coolant running into the cylinder from the inspection. My family’s safety was put at risk as due to this failure the engine misfired and would no longer accelerate on two different instances. Once in a local 55 mph road where the car would get above 30 mph. The second was when my wife was driving in a 70 mph turnpike when the misfire happened. There were no warning lamps or indicators of the failure. The symptoms were duffle, which included worsening engine performance, gas mileage, rough idling, and jerking while driving due to poor combustion in the bad cylinder. They first appeared around 87,000 - 88,000 miles (within this last year - 2025).

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2013 Honda Accord. The contact discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy after the purchase of the vehicle. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 100,900. It was later discovered upon checking Google that the mileage was 260,000.

I would like to report a known issue with the Honda Accord Sport 1.5t. My head gasket went out Aug. 2024 with about 100,000 miles on the dashboard. The cost to change it was about $4100. My Turbo Charger is now out Dec. 2025, and they are quoting me about $2100 before taxes. The dealership did advise that there is a known issue with the head gasket going out prematurely due to a default with the engine. They also advised that the turbo charger normally goes out after the head gasket is replaced. Please work on having the engine recalled. This is awful. After researching this issue, I see thousands of others are having the same issue. Best regards, Yvette J.

Honda needs to recall all the newer vehicles starting with 2018 to 2024. All lights on the dashboard is on and while I’m on highway, the car would apply the brake itself and when I released my foot from the pedal, the car run smoothly again. I took the car to Honda dealership last year and I was charged over 1500 dollars, still the car is having the same issue. This is frustrating. Today, the car is showing the camera like I was trying to back up, even though the car was on drive mode. Unbelievable.

Vehicle: 2018 Honda Accord Sport 1.5T, VIN [XXX] , 108,584 m, registered Indiana. Vehicle suffered from well-known 1.5L turbo oil dilution defect (TSB 19-091) since 5/24/21, 35k m, towed Honda dealership check engine light on, loss acceleration. Dealership diagnosed misfires cylinders 2 &3 caused by faulty fuel injectors from gasoline contaminating engine oil, 4 injectors, related parts $1,495.53. Defect persisted, ongoing issues: VTEC solenoid failure, spool valve replacement, turbo full assembly replacement, multiple spark plug replacements over four+ years, due to same oil dilution causing fouling/misfires. $3,855+ spent related repairs, due to defect. 6/14/25 & 6/21 car decelerated, 9 warning lights illuminated. Examined, diagnostics clear. 10/29/25 engine light, loss of acceleration, almost resulted in highway crash. Towed Victory Honda Highland, IN 11/10, sat 40+ days. No communication. Eventually diagnosed blown head gasket, leaking injectors. No loaner provided despite request. Corporate requested teardown 11/25 wasn’t done. Manager demanded deposit before teardown. American Honda denied goodwill, refused escalation 3xs, assigned same unresponsive manager, but out till New Year. Broke 48-hour callback promise 12/17. Upon request, Honda towed Team Honda Merrillville, IN no repairs done at Victory. Since transported Team Honda nothing repaired, waiting teardown confirmation, leaving my family without transportation 2+ months. Defect documented TSB 19-091, ongoing class-action suit 1:22-cv-02662, N.D. Illinois 1,200+ NHTSA complaints identical failures. ‘18 Honda Accord Sp 1,200 + documented similar complaints, yet Victory Honda, Team Honda, & American Honda not addressed issue. Lack of communication, refusal to address known safety issue. Should investigation/mandatory recall/coverage. Safety Risk: Sudden loss of power on highway = crash hazard. Lost power without any warning while taking an exit on the highway. Fortunately, I was able to pull over without an incident. Mechanic scanned : P0087. Replaced high pressure fuel pump assembly and associated parts. Honda had a recall on 2013-2014 models. Extremely likely this problem persisted in the 2015 model but Honda did not include this model year in the recall. Very expensive repair.
